Every time I’m in Mammoth, I make sure to come into the bowling alley. The bartenders are always beyond friendly and make an amazing spicy margarita. The Asian Chicken Salad is my absolute favorite — I think I get it every time I come in. I can’t wait to come back up this summer for bocce ball and drinks on the patio.

When there’s nothing to do in mammoth except to snowboard, smoke on the couch or hit rafters & cellar tower night after night, then you come across this place. I don’t go bowling but $ 8 a game with shoes especially when u suck seemed a little pricey. It could get packed on spring break or weekends so show up early or make a reservation in advance

The place is definitely worth checking out, just hope you don’t need anything from the long haired bartender/barback guy who’d literally rather do anything(like show off his tattoos) than help you get a drink or food.

We are here on spring break and really don’t understand the pricing. On the first day we went it was packed which was understandable since the winds on the mountain were crazy. But they wanted a $ 25 deposit to hold a lane for Wednesday(it was Monday) and it was going to be $ 75 for an hour and a half for 4 people. And if our game was not finished we would be cut off. When we came on Tuesday(because we had some extra time) it was $ 5 a person per game and $ 3 for shoes. We paid a total of $ 40 for 2 games each??? I don’t like inconstancy, Or price raising just because it’s busy. I am a business owner and I do not agree on it at all. I gave 3 stars because out waitress was great.

2nd time here. Great place for a family to bowl, eat, play games and just run around. We had an hour wait for a lane and we got here at 1. There are only 12 lanes so this place goes on a wait quick. Not to worry, they have foosball, darts and a full bar to keep you busy. There’s is also a golf simulator upstairs if you’re a golf enthusiast. All in all this place is fun for all ages.

My friends and I took a trip to climb Mt. Whitney and stayed in Mammoth. We were looking for terrific food and fun competition amongst each other in a laid back atmosphere. We found BOTH at Mammoth Rock N Bowl. The restaurant was 5 stars with very upscale food, including the best steaks for 300 miles around. The bowling alley was also unparalleled as it had Foosball, Darts, Ping Pong, and a full bar for casual drinks. When 5 guys went to visit, we were expecting a simple bowling alley and bowling alley food. Mammoth Rock and Bowl is as elite as it gets. I will stop in and give them my repeat business each and every time I travel in the area. Even though i was hanging out with a group of 5 guys, I also have a young family. I can easily see that the place can also be family friendly.

Great place to hang out and bowl(one of the only in the area I think lol) when conditions are too rough to board! Took a taxi over from the village and surprisingly, we were able to get a lane for 4. The building was really nice, modern-looking, and most importantly, clean. They had a full bar and outdoor patio too. Front desk service was lacking, as she never smiled once and was very short when we asked questions, but our server was really friendly. We ordered some drinks(jalapeño margarita and Moscow mules were OK), and we ordered some pulled pork nachos which were great and a small pepperoni thin crust pizza, which was able to feed all 4 of us. Will definitely come back if next time I’m in town and not boarding, since there isn’t much else to do in this beautiful town!

A snowy Saturday night at Mammoth Rock N Bowl made for a fun family outing in Mammoth! There is a restaurant upstairs but we chose to sit downstairs and eat off the bar menu which was extensive and had something for everyone. We put our names on the wait list for bowling, yes at 4:30 there was an hour wait so I’d advise to arrive around 4pm to get in by their 5pm price special cutoff. At 5pm the price goes up for bowling. There were foosball tables($ 1.00 a game in quarters), ping pong, and darts to keep you occupied while waiting to bowl. Somewhere there was golf but we didn’t see it. Food: We had the Smoke & Fire Think Crust Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza and the Chicken Nachos. All were very good. We were able to order the slaw on the Smoke and Fire on only half the pizza for one of our picky eaters :). We were also able to get some things on the nachos on the side as well so we would all enjoy them. Service: Prompt and easy We were told the wait was an hour for bowling and exactly at an hour our buzzer went off. But it was perfect b/c we ate, played foosball and then bowled. It was a great family evening and it’s great that Mammoth has a place like this. Atmosphere: very modern, and clean and new feeling! Lovely décor!

Tired after a long day of skiing/snowboarding?!? Not sure what to do before or after dinner? This place has it all!!! I came here for the bowling and we ordered a bunch of drinks and snacks but the restaurant looks super legit and fancy. Definitely gives you a hint when you see escargot on the snack menu… We had the tiger shrimp cocktail, smoke and fire pizza, and chicken tenders. Best bowling alley food I’ve ever had! And I don’t think it’s just because I was hungry… The tiger shrimp was perfectly breaded and the chicken tenders were tender and meaty. The cocktails were on the stronger side and delicious. Negatives are that its $ 5 to rent a board game, it’s a little on the pricier side for bowling at $ 7/game during peak hours, and that there aren’t many lanes. Otherwise, good selection of bowling balls and the place is kept in good condition. Service was average and I’d recommend you stay away from the first lane if you can as employees will walk down the side of that lane.

Visited January 2016. Walked in and asked if we could eat at the bar. We were told yes by one of the employees right in the front. We sat around for 20 minutes before we were acknowledged. The bartender was a jerk when he said we couldn’t eat at the bar. We found menus on the bar, so we were surprised the answer was no. His tone was condescending. We found an open table and waited another 10 minutes before our drink order was taken. Our server was very nice. We really liked the food. We ordered poutine, chicken wings and fish tacos. This place is pretty cool with food, bowling, darts, and a golf simulator. I’m sure we’ll go back next time we’re in town but won’t go to the bar. Despite liking our server and the food, the bartender is the reason why I’m giving this place only 3 stars.

Waiting at the bar with two people and this asshole did not even look at me with his partner for 15 minutes. Totally discriminated against and they dance and act like a bunch of drunk idiots. These two guys were wasted! Here’s to the two idiots!

We made reservations for a lane at 6:30 on a Friday. Showed up thinking we would order dinner while we bowl. When we were given our lane the tables was dirty from the last people. Long story short is the services is so BAD!!! Couldn’t put a order for food in because no one would take our order!!! Second time we have dealt with this here. I think it’s the last.

Well we love this place BUT the bartenders need serious bar back support! We love to come bowl, hangout, and drink! With that said, the bartenders are ALWAYS overwhelmed… Causing them to be rude, short, and consistently misrepresenting the brand of Rock N Bowl! Please get a few more staff members who truly care about providing good customer service!

On our day off from snowboarding we decided to do low key things around town and were recommended coming here by some locals. It’s a nice bowling alley with decent prices for bowling. I think we paid $ 5/game and $ 3/shoe rental. Had some drinks while we were here too & enjoyed the amazing views from their back patio. They also have other games such as darts, foosball, & other games. Staff was extremely friendly! Will definitely return on our next trip to Mammoth!

We came for a little bowling and lunch. It was 12:30 on a Wednesday and we walked right into a lane for two games. Later we played some foosball and ate some chicken wings. Service: Fantastic and friendly from start to finish. Even the guy shoveling the side walk had a few jokes with us. The cashiers were fine. There was a young lad fixing any mishaps with the lanes. Every time I turned around my soda was refilled. We had a water pitcher and glasses through out the time we were there. The lanes were clean. The bartender was on top of everything. Food: We only had the chicken wings. We ordered both flavors. The wings were cooked to perfection and the sauces were very flavorful. Best wings in Mammoth. The food came out quick and hot. Atmosphere: There were lots of families enjoying the lanes. Everyone seemed to be simply enjoying their time. Everyone was respectful and courteous not to bowl at the same time as the person next to them. The place was clean, the shoes were clean, the bowling balls were clean, the tables were clean and even the restrooms were clean. I highly recommend this place if you are in Mammoth. Great place to take the family or go out on a date. Keep in mind that it is best to go on off times to avoid having to wait too long for a lane.

The service was great and the food was even better! Despite the fact we had an issue with one of our orders, we very much enjoyed the food and service we received. We didn’t go bowling today, but definitely next time we visit. Thanks for the experience!

It’s cool that there’s a place like this in mammoth. It’s a good night time activity when the slopes are closed and a good day time activity if you want to just relax for the day. This place was really clean and I was quite impressed with how organized and new this place looked. It’s not a huge space but it’s definitely big enough. They had ping pong tables and darts also which was cool. This place also serves food and drinks which is a plus! Staff was also friendly and helpful. If you’re wanting to do something besides ski/snowboard, I’d definitely come check this place out!

We dined here upon the recommendation of friends who vacation in Mammoth frequently, and boy, were we pleasantly surprised! The first story consists of a tastefully decorated and contemporary bowling alley with easy to program lane set-ups and family-friendly atmosphere. The second story of this bowling alley features an incredible restaurant with good service, fantastic food and spectacular views. The atmosphere was a bit country-club stuffy when we arrived to find the early-bird diners, but the staff didn’t seem to mind when our large group arrived(kids in tow) and«liven it up» a bit. Thereafter, the mood of the entire place(as evidenced by the amount of conversation and laughter) picked up. According to our friends, many people would have their kids play and dine in the bowling alley below while they enjoy a good meal upstairs. Unfortunately, the age of our children did not allow us to do so with any level of comfort(since you can’t monitor the bowling alley from the second floor). However, our children were able to order from the bowling alley’s menu — and one of us had to wolf down our food to set the children up for bowling fun once they were done eating. It was a chilly night at Mammoth — and this provided a wonderful indoor alternative! My only side note is that the cost of the food on the menu is NOT $$(as the Unilocal profile indicates), it’s more like $$$. Beware that you’ll pay a pretty penny(ours was an average of $ 90/person, which included a bottle of wine and the less expensive kids meals) but it was worth the splurge.

Lots to do here. The bowling was good. What I liked is that they could put up the kid rails when the kids bowl and take them down when the adults bowl. What I didn’t like was that our lead pin kept falling down. Thankfully, we weren’t taking our bowling seriously(no offense to those who do) so we didn’t bother addressing this. They’ve got a nice outdoor bocci set as well as some horseshoes. they also have ping pong and darts. I think the rates may vary depending on the time. We ended up not participating, but it was $ 5 at the time to use those taproom games. Foosball table is still in pretty good shape. We checked out the upstairs indoor golf-center. I hadn’t been to one and we enjoyed it. Seems as if this also gets packed in the evenings and they’ve got various leagues showing up, so if you’re interested, I’d recommend calling ahead to make a reservation. The kids can play a game where you smash windows(so can the adults for that sake) FOOD: We ordered barfood. The brasserie wasn’t open when we got there. The food was fine. We had some chicken tacos, which were nothing to write home about but did the job. We also had chicken fingers which were pretty standard for the kids. Fish tacos are fried and decent. They also have the pork mignon with mushroom sauce from the brasserie, which is super tasty. Pork was cooked real nicely.
