We shouldn’t have to accept poor customer service… as paying customers, it is the responsibility of every establishment that is willing to take our hard earned money to provide great customer service and to show appreciation that we want to spend our money in their business… Last night I needed to go to A&P to get some groceries. I wandered the store to grad what I needed before my last stop at the Deli counter. When I got to the counter there was no one manning the station. I waited, waited some more before someone finally turned up. Seeing that I was waiting, the deli person started to shuffle some stuff on the back counter before deciding to attend to me. Didn’t apologize for keeping me waiting, just stared at me. I stared back… Then the deli person said«yeah»… not«yes»… but«yeah». I replied«Excuse me’? The deli person responded«Do you need something?»… I replied… «You know what… actually I don’t». I put my basket of groceries down and walked out the door and drove to Stop & Shop(3miles away) where I received great customer service. The lesson I learnt was that convenience doesn’t mean I need to accept the worst customer service. I have a choice and my choice is to NEVER go back to A&P.
