Unilocal says this place is open. Came here to celebrate my 4 year anniversary and the whole place is closed.

This place is a hidden gem. Great place to bring a picnic basket and enjoy the afternoon with some good wine and a lush, green Setting.

Nice ambiance! We went on a weekend during the summer before hitting the beach. This place is self seating. There was a good crowd so there were no tables available. Sitting on the grass was nice though but I suggest you bring a blanket and snacks. They had live music(Spanish guitars) and that was really awesome! I gave it 4 stars because it was a bit pricey and they didn’t have any snacks available.

This place needs to make up their mind. on whether they don’t allow outside food or not. I’ve been here 3 times and I looked them up again to see if I would like to visit again. 1st visit I noticed you can bring your own picnic food since they didn’t serve food. I was sad b/c I wanted something to eat but had nothing. Wish I had known. 2nd visit– I happily prepared and brought food to find out we can’t bring it in!!! This highly annoyed me. 3rd visit– I didn’t bring food bc of my past visit and ordered some mediocre food at the place. We bought a couple bottles of wine and took it to the table. They give you a ice bucket for your white which was nice, They did not have enough servers and the food was just ok. I believe you get everything served on paper plates and such so it was a bit ghetto considering the amount you had to pay for the food. Now I’m reading and it looks like they don’t serve food and but you can bring your own picnic. This is way too confusing. But the venue is nice with a band playing during some summer days. The wines are okay and nothing to rave about. It’s the atmosphere you come for… not the wine(or food).

Came here on July 4th to redeem our Groupon which consisted of two flights of wine tasting for two people along with one bottle of our choice at the end of the tasting, all for $ 20. We sampled 2 whites and 2 reds I believe. Jordan who was the bartender during our visit was nice and helpful. Sadly, her pours weren’t very generous though. We arrived around 1pm or so and it was pretty empty with only one other couple at a table, so we had all the time in the world to choose the perfect table. Within the entire 2 hours or so we were here, there were only about 2 or 3 other couples that came. I mean, it was 4th of July so everyone was prob at home or at the beach. Overall, we really liked the outdoor setting and it really is a nice place to just chill, drink wine, and enjoy some snacks. Yes you can bring your own cooler with food and drinks, highly recommended.

I came here in June for a friend’s birthday and I have to say it was quite a lovely afternoon. Reception is spotty en route there so make sure you have a good idea of where you are going beforehand. Parking should not be an issue at all. We all brought a dish for our little picnic which was perfect. You can sit at a table if one is available, but I’d bring a blanket just in case. The scenery is quite beautiful and some days they even have live music. Many of us purchased the Groupon which is quite a great deal! The wine pourers were super friendly and really knowledgeable(please tip them! they work hard to serve all the patrons). For the most part I enjoyed the wines. They weren’t stellar or anything, but for the Groupon price I am not complaining. I plan to go back this month with some friends to try the Semler wines. Note: you cannot bring your own wine or alcohol here.

Spent a lovely afternoon at Malibu and Vine! Here are my tips for a good time here: — Google map your route here before you get into the canyons! It’s tricky and reception is NOT good once you get into Kanan. — There is plenty of parking on a lot or on property. — Bring a blanket and pitch it in one of the many shady grassy areas, yes, there are tables, but they are for the unromantic. — Pack snacks to enjoy on your blanket — You’ll have to buy your wine here, so don’t bring any other wine, but you may want to bring some ice/a cooler if you buy a bottle of white because they run out of ice buckets pretty frequently here. — Sit back and enjoy the live music after 2 pm — They are open until 8 in the summer, and there are twinkly lights strung across for great ambiance so an evening here can also work. Overall a FANTASTIC way to spend an afternoon.

Amazeballs. I always loved going to Malibu Family Wines but it suddenly became this super sh*t show with the busy crowd and nonexistent parking. So I was glad when M&V opened up. It’s a very similar set up(live music, tasting stations, same wine selections) but a much smaller crowd, real bathrooms, and PARKING. The pourers are always fun to talk to, and didn’t seem to mind that 99% of the people there had Groupons. My new summer fave. Now to find a handsome date to take me more often!

Definitely recommend coming here on a Sunday afternoon whether it’s with family, friends, bf/gf, or a date !!! There’s a great deal available on Groupon, wine tasting plus a bottle of wine for $ 25 or $ 35. There’s plenty of parking available once you arrive. The scenery is gorgeous because it’s located in Malibu, lots of greens, flowers, and shade. I recommend bringing a blanket and mini picnic with cheese, salami, shrimp ceviche, and other knick knacks :) but if you’re too lazy they have food available as well. You can lay on the grass while enjoying the live music or there are plenty of tables up for grabs. P. s. I think when I was here last weekend I saw Emily Osment! But overall a very relaxing experience and I wish I could spend every Sunday afternoon here

I came here on a Groupon like 98% of customers according to one of the bartenders. Here’s the deal: Pack a great picnic, bring a blanket, and friends. This is a great way to spend an afternoon. Came on Saturday for an anniversary lunch and damn it was cute. I’m an adorable girlfriend! I plan on coming with a group of friends and having every 2 people or so get a Groupon deal. Every deal gets a bottle. Pretty sweet. Also, some card games or even that game where you toss the hacky sack into a circle… lawn games are welcome and make you look like a pro. Also there’s live music and often events like comedy shows for $ 5. It’s supposed to close in September for remodeling so hurry up folks.

Came here because my friends and I bought the Groupon Deal. For 2, you get, 4 tastings, wine glasses, and a bottle of wine. You have to pay tax for the bottle of wine. Free parking. Outdoor wine tasting bar. Bring food to eat on there outdoor tables. Great way to spend an afternoon. Our server was Jourdan, she was super nice and awesome! The wine was tasty. If you do not like red or white, they let you double up on one or the other. Had a nice relaxing day here!

FARFARFAR! anticipate your drive to be at least an hr, if they have traffic it may be even longer! I strongly suggest to pack yourself a picnic because there literally is no restaurants just a snack station by the golf areas, and its pretty much sandwiches and hot dogs! Nothing wine related, to enhanced your wine for all you wino out there! The location of the vineyard is actually an extension to another vineyard from a couple of miles up so don’t get confused. go to the Golf Course! Though the location doesn’t give you the beach of Malibu it was very secluded and very serene! The guy wine pourer were a lot more generous with the pour of the wine as opposed to the girl– so go to the guys, they give you more details on where and how they were made and they make it sound so scrumptious!

Purchased a Groupon Deal $ 35 for: Two souvenir wine glasses Two flights of four wines each Your choice of one bottle of the wines listed (Cabernet 2004 and 2009, Sauvignon Blanc, or Syrah) I noticed many other people were there because of the Groupon deal as well. We arrived by 3pm and the kitchen barely closed. I was starving and it was a bit of a drive through the windy mountainous road. I really wish they served a bread and cheese platter or something so I would have enjoyed it more. Some were smart enough to bring their own food. The wines tasted ok. A lot of nice green grass and hanging lightbulbs that made the setting more intimate. There were also a live band playing. I don’t know if I would return because I was left hungry! Once I left I ran to the first fast food place I saw, Jack in the Box.

Stopped off over here for a quick wine tasting that we had a groupon for. Some of them were hits and some of them were misses, but the service was quick and the atmosphere was great. Its right on the golf course so you have a beautiful relaxing view. Could have definitely hung out here for a while. The groupon was a great deal also $ 25 for a 4 flight wine tasting for 2, souvenir glasses and a bottle of wine — not bad at all! I would definitely check this place out PLUS: They also serve, snacks, cheese etc which is just the thing when having a wine tasting.

My boyfriend and I made the drive out here in lieu of the amazing GroupOn deal and the excellent Unilocal reviews! Malibu and Vine is an outdoor wine bar tucked away in a golf course in Malibu. We purchased the $ 35 GroupOn deal for a Semler wine tasting experience for two: – Two souvenir wine glasses – Two flights of four wines each – One bottle of wine to take home Our favorite was the Semler cabernet sauvignon 2004, and we happily selected that for our bottle to take home. They do not serve food here, so bring a picnic basket! Fortunately, there was a food truck at the entrance so we just grabbed a snack from there. Nice spot to gather with friends and/or a loved one. There is also live music! We left while they were setting up. Also, Parking lot located on the side– easy peasy! In addition to that, the bf and I enjoyed the scenic drive there. And plenty of places to grab some seafood on the way there and back!

It took a hella long time to get here, FYI. Just when you thought the drive was over, it continues… up a long, winding hill with a beautiful view of Malibu and past some other wineries(be careful because some people just stop on the road to make a left turn into those wineries). Was it worth it? The pourers are wonderful and so nice. They joke around with you and it’s just very relaxed and welcoming. We went last weekend and it seemed like everyone needed to use their Groupons. They had live music from 2−4pm(be sure to check their events page to coordinate), making it a lovely afternoon. The wine itself was ok and though I’m not a wine buff, out of the 4 pours we had, I would say their Chardonnay was my favorite. The Petite Sirah was one of the free bottles we ended up getting and it had a lot of sediment that stained your lips. The other bottle was a slightly acidic Rose to take home. It was a pretty good deal with free wine glasses to take home, a bottle per two people that you only had to pay tax for, and 4 pours of wine all for $ 25. The only downside of this place were the restrooms. Two stalls for how many girls out there and one was broken?! Well, I suppose they don’t always have a massive amount of people besides regulars who know about it… A very chill place to just enjoy your afternoon with some wine and sunbathe. It’s worth it if you time the drive around various events(Pepperdine University graduation) and traffic and spend some more time in the area.

Relaxed, spacious, and beautiful venue. All around you can see gorgeous green mountains and the golf course, and its like a huge open garden with tables, string lights, wine, and of course, your friends. GETTHEGROUPON: $ 25 gets you wine tasting for 2: 4 tastings each, 2 wine glasses to take home, and a bottle of wine to choose at the end. we got there late(4pm-ish) so we missed the live music… AND they ran out of food. say WHATT? so no cheese and wine for me sadly. BUT, it seemed like everyone brought their own snacks and goodies, so next time id take a picnic basket and have a ball right there on the grass! Really fun and great date spot men!(hint hint)

My friend had two Groupons. Each was good for a two flights(4 tastings per person) and a bottle of wine. We only have three people so we each got a little extra pour in our glass. Each person also gets to take their glass home. It’s always nice to get a souvenir. There is plenty of outdoor seating, overlooking the golf course. We also saw that there was a restaurant where you could purchase food, but we brought our own snacks. Beautiful location and they play good music in the background as well. This is a different location(down the road) from Malibu wines, but the tasting are the exact same.

With a Groupon in hand, we embarked on this wine-tasting adventure in nearby Malibu hills. Who would have known that there is a golf course that resides in the hills of Malibu… nestled between mountains and providing a scenic respite for wine enthusiasts. My husband, sister-in-law and I came to Malibu and Vine for their wine tasting at the outdoor patio. We ordered the Semlar wine tasting menu — 4 tastings, 1 white and 2 red. The wines are from a local winery in Malibu! The deal also came with 2 wine glasses. As we drank some wine, we wandered along the golf course and to the attached restaurant. We ordered some crab cake appetizers and proceeded to enjoy the nice sun and scenery of the golf course. The golf course seems much smaller than others we’ve seen before, but people were still playing when we came around 11:30 am. A nice little gem in the hills… would be fun to picnic here if they allow that. :) We heard there was live music that starts at 2:00 pm, but we left before then. As we were leaving, we noticed that it was getting much more crowded and people were spread out throughout the grounds chatting and drinking. :) Perfect way to spend a Saturday…
