A really good camp. amazing views, the food is good, and the staff is really friendly and caring. A great summer experience that is full of memories and good times. At the chapel you can overlook Malibu and see the pink sunsets. Also the beach is really nice which is cool. The best experience you can ever have.

This is a fantastic camp where the environment is small and nurturing. We have attended several sessions with a great experience from each session. The setting is like no other as it over looks the ocean. What makes this camp unique is the staff. Most counselors attended camp growing up. They are attentive, nurturing, fun and caring. Everyone will know your child. The director and staff take great lengths to provide a rich and memorable experience. They are able to handle gluten allergies along with many other food sensitivities. We chose this camp because they could keep our child safe in terms of food issues. I can’t say enough about hilltop. It is an experience your child will want to attend year after year.

I came here for a work retreat and a treat it was! I loved how close it was to the beach. So refreshing to be away from the crazy traffic life in LA. Here, you can enjoy outdoor activities(rock climbing, hiking up the hills, running on the beachside, etc.) The rooms were clean — but the beds were squeaky and a little creepy. Thank goodness for the heater because it was so cold when I went. The staff were really nice — brought us piles of woods for the fireplace. Kept us warm and cozy during long meetings in the conference room. FOOD! Oh my goodness — the BEST part of this camp! I felt so fat eating plates after plates of pasta, tacos, delicious salad, burgers, tofu, etc. I appreciate how they had a vegetarian option for folks who didn’t eat meat as well. It was an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend :)

One of the two Wilshire Boulevard Temple camps(the other being Hilltop). I’ve spent much more time at Hilltop, so maybe I’m just biased, but I think it’s a bit better. The best part about Hess Kramer is that it’s within walking distance of the beach and the drive over along PCH is gorgeous. I never spent a summer here but the times I’ve been here for weekends I’ve always enjoyed it.
