Neapoli Cafe & Pizzeria

We have always ordered from Neapoli and always loved it! They are fast and good and we couldn’t be happier. Last week we had been waiting for an hour and a half for our food… the gentleman from Neapoli called and told us he had just received our order and that it happened another time that evening with someone else. They usually stop delivering around 9:30pm…they reopened the restaurant at 10:30 just to get our order out for us. Turns out it was Foodlers fault. Just from that alone (reopening at 10:30 for us), I will always go to Neapoli — as long as I live in the area!

Ordered tuna salad and cheesy garlic bread. Came smoothly and fast. Substitutions/​additions were fine accurately. Will order again.

This place has the best subs! I love their Italian subs and steak bomb subs. The staff has always been nice and accommodating. I am very glad to see a local mom-​pop place that has such good food and service!

I love when a place decides to offer funky pizzas in addition to the regular choices and Neapoli certainly delivers the funk. All of the gourmet pizzas are amazing and provide such a unique flavor, they never fail to blow people away! I actually felt compelled to spring for 3 large pizzas for my office so the folks there would know how good this is. I can’t wait to try other things on the menu, but for now, I can’t move past the great, great pizza!

Some of the best pizza in Malden. Hands down the best fresh hummus around. The food is great, the staff are friendly and the service is quick. Their special wraps are unbelievable. The ability to order online and customize all of your items is a huge plus.

Just moved to Malden and decided to try this place out on a night we didn’t feel like making dinner. I got the jalapeño burger plate and was very pleased. Delivery was free and fast, and the burger and fries were still hot when they got to my door.
The cheddar cheese on the burger seemed a little lacking, in both quantity and taste, which is why I removed one star. However the jalapeños were crunchy and fresh, the burger was huge, and then other veggies on it looked very fresh as well. The fries were absolutely delicious! Crispy, not at all soggy.
I try not to order delivery too much but I’ll definitely be trying the rest of their menu the next time I don’t feel like cooking.

Got a chicken parm sub there today. Just horrible! Frozen chicken patties, run of the mill sauce. Luckily they didn’t put a lot of sauce on the sub.

Very disappointed with the 3 cheese quesadilla I carried out today. The tortilla was flimsy and could barely hold its own. A quesadilla should be firm and crisp outside so I wonder what went wrong here. The only pros would be the generous portions of salsa and sour cream on the side. Should just stick with the burgers.

Good solid food. Fast delivery. The cheddar bacon burger is a must if you feel like having a real meal.

I got a steak and cheese from here and it was by far the best I’ve had in a long time. The fries could’ve been better. The where very under cooked and old looking. I will try them again and hopefully will be better.

This was the worst Chicken Parm I have ever eaten made with pre-​made frozen chicken patties. The fried zucchini was over cooked to the point of being mushy, and the chocolate cake was stale.

I have been eating here (well, ordering pick-​up takeout) since I moved to Malden ~8 years ago. Best spot in Maplewood SQ hands down. Long time employees are nice guys and they make an effort to provide solid food at really cheap $$. It’s not 5 star dining but they get my 5 stars for value.

This is by far one of the best sub shops that has been in Maplewood Square in a very long time. We order from this place at least once a week. The staff are friendly and the food is great. I have never ordered anything I didn’t like. I would highly recommend this place.

Updated review because they have an updated menu… This place is as good as It gets… Smoothies, fresh subs, fresh ingredients and a fantastically fast staff…

First, this place is not clean. I picked up a salad for lunch today and was kind of grossed out looking into the kitchen. Grills look like they haven’t been cleaned… ever. Food scraps all over the ground. Gross. Second, my salad sucked. I got the garden salad with baked eggplant and roasted peppers. The eggplant was ok, but the salad underneath was sub-​par. The cucumbers were actually somewhat rotted and everything just had an old/​on its way out taste to it. Everything but the eggplant went in the garbage. I expect more for a $ 9 salad.

My office orders from this place at least once a week. There are some who have confusing orders and Neapolis always (knock on wood) delivers the correct order.
I have tried their eggplant provolone salad as well as their Cajun chicken salad. Both salads are amazing! The chicken is always seasoned and cooked perfectly unlike some other establishments in the area. The pita bread is also amazing! I saw a couple of reviewers who complained about the price… I’m not sure where they’re ordering from but the prices are pretty in line with every other pizza restaurant in the area.
I haven’t tried their pizzas or sandwiches yet, so unfortunately I can’t comment on those.

Love this place! Great salads and wraps. Frozen yogurt with a ton of toppings, all delicious! Best take out around!

A few months ago they must have switched from vegetable oil to something fattier… or started frying lots of fish in the vegetable oil. Whatever the change, the oil now dissolves the polystyrene containers they use for delivery orders, as fatty oils are wont to do. This is messy and not safe.
They don’t seem to care so now we only order their excellent salads (in recyclable plastic containers) and pizzas (in cardboard pizza boxes). Pretty much everything else comes with styrofoam-​dissolving fries, so if you don’t want a mess or don’t want to eat styrene and benzene, stick to salad and pizza.
This isn’t the kind of place you would eat at (as a destination at least) but rather get delivery from. The delivery is super fast. Sometimes it gets to my house within 20 minutes of ordering.
The prices are reasonable, the food is fresh, and the menu is large for a joint this size. The burgers are fantastic but get soggy too quickly (and come with the troublesome fries), so maybe stick to ordering those on site.
Their strongest asset overall are their salads; huge selection and very fresh.

This is my go-​to delivery place because there’s such a variety of great stuff that I never need to call another place. They probably know me well enough as the guy who always orders the antipasto salad with extra dressing, since I order it many times a month. For whatever reason, their combinations & proportions of Italian meats & salad ingredients hits me exactly right. My wife loves the Boston College sub and the vanilla milkshake. We also order our pizzas from here, and they have yet to let us down (pepperoni, jalapeño, caramelized onion — you’ll thank me). The staff on the phone is great, never an incorrect order, and the delivery guys get it here plenty quick. Unless we’re in the mood for Chinese, Indian, or Thai, we call Neapoli.
If you live around here, you probably get menus for places like this weekly. We used to give one of those a shot from time to time, but we’ve stuck with Neapoli for years because they’re just better than the rest.

On a lazy Sunday afternoon, we placed a pretty big lunch order and all in all, it was pretty good. Here was our order — chicken and broccoli alredo calzone (plentiful and delicious), an egg and pepper sub (enjoyed by the eater), a beef gyro (tasty and they even got the order right when I asked for the tzaki sauce on the side), a turkey, avocado and Swiss wrap (most impressive) and a chicken kebab wrap (yummy) and a side of onion rings and mozzarella sticks (forget ordering sides like this if getting your food delivered). Their menu is extensive and creative. I’m looking forward to trying other items in the future. Glad to see healthy and vegetarian options!
