Rustic atmosphere but very pleasant. Order, pay, take a table and they bring the food to you. Food was plentiful, very good and inexpensive. We’ll definitely return.

First time at this place and have to admit the catchy name drew me in along with one referral prior to going. This is a pork serving restaurant with the usual sides found at most. Now, I will first admit I am a eastern North Carolina vinegar based pork fan, so right away this place did not appeal after being served the pork without the straight vinegar sauce as an option. That they had was a vinegar-based, sweet bbq sauce which frankly ruined it for me. Was not tasty at all. The pork by itself had very little flavor although I believe it was thoroughly cooked, the hush puppies came as a pair that were burnt to a very dry, flaky crisp on the outside. They had a Brunswick stew in the side which was alright… Lastly the baked apples on the side did not taste great(didn’t seem fully cooked), still had their peels on them and were served lukewarm… So by the time we got around to trying them, they were very cold. The only reason I didn’t give this place a one star is because the staff members I encountered were polite and respectful. However, I will say this was the worst pulled pork meal I have attempt to eat(believe me I’ve had many being raised in NC) and I’m not a picky eater. My advice is only come here when you’ve run out of other options for a pork dinner.
