Incredible Ribs and chicken. They have very good daily specials for a good price. Their staff is over the top and were eager to serve us. The manager had a great personality and appeared happy to have guests. I would rate this place #1 over any other local BBQ.

OK, I was in the area and wanted BBQ. This turned out to be close to the hotel. Being a bit tired from travel this is what I selected. The Ribs were the best part of the meal. They are smoked, maybe a bit overcooked but not bad. The Pork, I ate a few bites and moved on. Not smoked to my liking and the sauce was not to my liking either. And of course it came with the sauce on it. I love sausage and I’m always happy when I can find some. I was disappointed here as it turned out to be average, nothing outstanding. Beans, what did they do open a can of pork and beans? It wasn’t bad, just nothing special Mac and Cheese… again not horrible but nothing special Another spot I’d like to have 2.5 stars as I found it overall to be average. Not bad, but not outstanding either.

I had to give this place another shot. I did the smart thing this time and asked the cashier what I should order. She stated the beef brisket sandwich plate with beans and mac & cheese. It was awesome! I will definitely be coming back.

I liked the price so I tried their beef brisket sandwich. It was an average, typical sandwich.

Tay’s is a regular in my family’s household! We ordinarily order Tay’s to go, so we can stuff our faces at home with the delicious yummies. Over the weekend, my husband I visited my parents and had a hankering for BBQ. Since DC often leaves the mouth wondering for bigger and better BBQ, we were very excited to order Tay’s again. Per usual, we ordered a slab or the ribs with both mild and hot sauces. Per usual, the ribs were tender, delicious, and practically fell off the bone. The hubby and I(as well as our fam) can definitely handle heat — we generally migrate toward spicy food. However, be warned that the spicy BBQ sauce will ignite your mouth! It’s absolutely divine, but I would recommend mixing it with the regular BBQ sauce to avoid downing 2 glasses of water later. In the past, I’ve had their deviled eggs in addition to these ribs, which are amazing as well. Overall, we were very happy with our take out order and couldn’t have asked for a better way to enjoy the AFC Championship game! One sidenote: Call before you go. Occasionally, they will run out of meat and go ahead and close. This has happened to us a couple of times, so just make sure you give them a call ahead of time.

i have been to Tay’s BBQ twice now. I had the pulled pork plate and my husband had the regular rib plate. We also tried the smoked tuna dip. We both really loved the dip! I thought the pulled pork plate was good. I got it with fries(steak fries) and baked beans. I thought both were really tasty and the bbq itself was good. My husband loved the pickles — they are a combo of dill/sweet. He said the ribs were tender and had good flavor. Overall, no complaints but not sure if it’s worth the cost. It is a bit pricey for BBQ. For all three things above(plus 2 drinks) it was roughly $ 32. We both would recommend trying the smoked tuna dip if you go.

Really good baked beans. And the ribs were pretty tasty.

The problem with Tay’s is I cannot stand ANY of their sauces. They have several, including a white sauce. Unfortunately they are either all too sweet or just nasty. You may like them, I would recomending tasting the sauces before ordering. Even the most normal BBQ sauce is only tolerable. I will never go back. There are wayyyy to many average and tolerable BBQ places around.
