Outback Steakhouse

The food here is good and reasonably priced. It is also very consistent each time I have visited. The bread is great and the bloomin onion is one of the biggest and baddest appetizers around (be sure to have at least 2 other people on hand to attempt finishing one). I usually go for the outback special and a side salad with a sweet potato, and that fills me up plenty even with the 6 oz. option. The filet is Also very good, but for the price I would only get it on special occasions.
My only real problem with this place is that I was treated very poorly on one occasion by one of the managers. If not for this occasion I would give a 4 star review. I forgot my wallet at home, but asked if I could write a check instead. He said he could take the check, but it wasn’t preferable (I obviously know this, I’m not a restaurant newbie). The manager was then incredibly rude and told me to write the check, go home, and come back with cash or a card. UNBELIEVABLE! My bill was between $ 10-​$ 15 so this was pretty insane for him to even suggest such a thing. If I had a huge bill of $ 50 or $ 100 then maybe I could understand. I had also been in to this restaurant many times, but of course nobody there would vouch for me to help the situation. Needless to say, I wrote the check for the exact bill amount with no tip, slapped it down and left. I didn’t come back for at least a year due to this.
Other than the above debacle, the service is always average in the main seating area to above average in the bar area.

I don’t write reviews… ever. But my experience at Outback Steakhouse in Huntsville was so bizarre that I had to write it down. We chose Outback because it was close and offered a deal; buy a gift card for $ 50 and get a $ 10 card as a bonus. When we arrived, there was a sign advertising the «deal.» As soon as we arrived, I bought the deal. After I paid and the gift card was delivered, there was no $ 10 bonus card. I said something to the waitress, and she came back and said the offer had expired… according to the manager. I went back to the hostess and reminded them of the advertising in the front of the restaurant. They immediately removed the sign.
The waitress was nice, the restaurant was clean, but the food was poor quality, and my wife’s ribeye, which was supposed to be medium rare was cooked well done. It went back and came back cooked properly, but everyone was finished eating their meal by that time. We just laughed about it afterwards, but we won’t be back.

Chris and your staff are ROCK STARS! Keep up the good work. I am forever loyal to you guys. for the last year the transformation is obvious and I will recommend you service and hospitality to anyone. see U soon

This place had Poor service. Waiteress messed up the orders… Horrible service and management didn’t offer a complimentary item to make the situation better.

This place has gone downhill over the years. I used to love the place. They changed the containers dressing and toppings (butter, sour cream) go in for take away, and they’re far too small. Plus they’re laughably empty. Don’t order take away unless you thoroughly check the back before driving away, or you’ll be disappointed. Had hair in my food last week. They were good about replacing my order at another time when i was ready to try it again. Only getting that was a pain and they said the word «hair» a hundred times down to handing me the food through the widow making me disgusted all over again. I gave it two stars since i feel like the food tastes the same for the most part– at least the smaller portion they give you seems the same. This place needs a serious revamp.
Update — gave them another shot. I ordered online to hopefully eliminate errors. They called me on my way to pick up my food and said «We’re going to have to charge you more for that salad. You didn’t specify what kind of chicken you wanted.» I ordered the «Cobb salad no chicken» option on the menu… because I didn’t want chicken. I even wrote in the notes «No Chicken/​Meat» to make sure it was clear. I check the bag since the order is never right. There isn’t any egg or anything on the Cobb Salad. Yep, they gave me a house salad which is half the price and had none of the additional toppings as the Cobb. I mentioned the egg (just as an example) was missing to the take away person who said she could bring it back to the kitchen and have some thrown on there. The last thing I wanted was for that salad to disappear again for them to do who knows what to it. I told her to forget about it. Then I got my tab and it was $ 56. Yep, they used my card to ring up the wrong check. The girl had to get the manager or someone to fix it. Finally, that was fixed where she brought out my new, updated tab. After waiting around for the manager to clear the incorrect total charge, the cheese fries were disgusting and cold. You can’t wait around for 10 minutes in a car with that sort of stuff. This place continues to disappoint.

Food was good, but i had the feeling that there was spit in my order. Michael one of the assistant managers answered the phone and was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. He told me he was the only one working take away and was rushing around like a mad man… When arriving he told me that I was meant to wait in my car. I think he needs to find another career if he thinks he can treat customers the way he treated me and the women in my office. Also I would not post this bad review if it was only this one incident, but we’ve had several issues with Michael. I hope Outback can correct this issue because I do love some Blooming Onion.

Try the The Victoria’s Filet Mignon. It was the best steak I have ever had. Hands down. The waiter was also phenomenal.

So… that was disappointing. I had never been to an Outback, so figured I’d give this a shot. I went in for the «lunch combos starting at $ 6.99» deal. There is one lunch for $ 6.99, and it was a soup & salad. Whatever.
So I ordered the Outback Burger with swiss, mushrooms, and bacon. I proceeded to eat all the bread, plus another half loaf, because my order took 25 – 30 minutes to bring out. The nice waitress informed me they burned the burger, so they were making a new one. That’s fine — things happen. Waiter appeared about 5 minutes later and told me they were going to comp my meal. Very nice of them, I thought. About 5 – 10 minutes later my burger arrived. If there was any cheese on it, it was barely detectable. I counted two (2) mushrooms — very thinly sliced — and zero bacon. There were also no pickles, as promised.
So long story short, I would’ve given them one star, but the nice wait staff and comped meal got another star outta me. Probably won’t go back to Outback anytime soon.

Had a bad experience today picking up food for my coworkers. The guy at take out desk, Michael, really needs to work on customer service, and general additude. He was overall just rude, and acted as if he did not want to serve me, and that because I didn’t order over the phone that I was some sort of moron. As someone that has worked customer service, it is not acceptable, and I will not be returning to this outback in the future.

We celebrated our 25^th Anniversary tonite at Outback on hwy 72 Madison. Our appetizer came out quickly. Our waitress was very attentive. When the manager came by and asked if everything was ok my husband mentioned that it was our anniversary. When we finished our meal we were presented with a trio of carrot cake, brownie a la mode and cheesecake on the house! It was very much appreciated by all of us. Great night and very memorable.

We were very disappointed. Waited too long for the food and when it finally came, it was cold. The service and the food at Outback Steakhouse is usually good, but not this time and not at this location.

I’m a service nut. I tip insanely high when it’s good. This was not the case here. We waited forever for someone to even get our drink order. Then our appetizer took forever. When the steaks came after a VERY LONG time my dates steak was on my plate and hers on mine. The service at this chain is usually good, but skip this location

It was a busy night at the Outback Steakhouse which meant a long wait and I hope that our poor experience was the result of this.
We ordered three dishes and the calamari starter. Only one of the dishes came as expected — I had a medium rare steak which was fine.
The calamari was tough and flavorless but I suppose we should expect that when we live so far from the sea.
My daughter had shrimp and steak, with the steak ordered medium rare. The shrimp /​garlic butter were great. The steak arrived rare, very rare.
My wife ordered the smaller steak, rare. She was presented with a thin piece of meat, at best described is medium and with all that it was grey with no crust. She left about half of it behind.
There is something sad about a steakhouse that cannot do a rare steak.
In general I would say the service was non-​professional. While waiting for a table the serving staff were loudly laughing and joking among themselves. Our server really only spoke with us when he provided the bill. A different server provided the food, ask whether we wanted anything else and then started to walk away before hearing our response. When we did respond it was pretty clear we were interrupting something else that she wanted to do.
On the positive side, the system for dealing with the crowd of people was effective. Also, while waiting, a server offered drinks and small snacks. The rest of our experience was at a lower level.
I think we’ll be driving further for our next steak meal.

Textbook. perfect. dinner.
Sat at the bar and ordered the Pecan salad, which came out ice cold in about 5 minutes. Chose to go with the parmesan crusted 9oz sirloin with a loaded baked potato. Food arrived about 5 – 10 minutes after I finished the salad and was piping hot and perfectly cooked. Excellent service!

Went here after being at Texas Roadhouse and leaving due to lousy service there. Great choice. We were told 20 minute wait. A hostess brought drinks and cookies outside to us while we waited and actually waited only 10 minutes to be seated. The waiter gave us bread right away and brought us our drinks immediately. The food was excellent for all 5 of us in our party. We never had to ask for a refill. The service here was awesome. I don’t live out here but for those that do I highly recommend going here.

Three and a half overall. Service four and a half. They had two hostesses seating the church-​thirty crowd on Sunday afternoon, and they were keeping up well. I was impressed with our server, Molly H. She took very good care of us, and was pretty as well. The kitchen runner guy also did an especially good job.
The manager didn’t visit our table, but he was standing in the lobby as we left, apparently having expedited the seating of a larger party.
The wife and I split a 9 oz Sirloin, with deviled-​Crab-​topped Shrimp, and Loaded Baked Potato. We drank Lemonades. The deviled crab was excellent, if memory serves. The rest of the food was very good, altho somewhat mundane. Our total bill was $ 25.26.
The restaurant is kind of classy. The worst part for me today was the music. Good sound system, but I found every song somewhat annoying. I recognized only one song, and I thought it inappropriate. I give today’s music genre a two.

Always great service at the bar!

You can never go wrong with Outback — consistently good food & service! Portions are big, tasty & well priced, the only draw-​back is the long wait to get a table & we always try to sit at the bar… which in itself can be a long wait. Getting good lamb chops anywhere is hard, but Outback never disappoints :-)

The reason I am not giving a 5 star on this review is due to the fact that on weekends the wait time can be up to an hour. Now this is not Outbacks fault. You can’t help that 200 people want to come to your establishment all at once.
Other than that I love the food, I generally get the filet or ribeye there. I always somehow forget that they give you bread after your drinks arrive.

Horrible portions for what they charge. 3oz of salmon after it’s cooked and no you can’t have two veggies for the 15 dollars you pay. Ridiculous. Wife had the Ahi Tuna salad and they used low grade cheap greens that you can buy for 2.00 a bag with iceberg lettuce, total ripoff, I guess the people that come here don’t mind getting screwed.
