Hunt Club Subs n Grill

So glad we decided to check this place out. I saw it is a newer establishment and has outstanding reviews, so my husband and I decide to stop by on a Saturday around 1pm. It was seat yourself, and table/​waitress service. The décor in this place is AWESOME! Think rustic with Hunting Décor and Game Mount all over the walls. We absolutely loved it. The menu is super diverse and has a ton of different options. My only complaint (not really a complaint at all I just hate I missed it) is having the «Extras» new the burger, my husband and I missed out on the quail egg and bacon add-​ons, but now we know where to look (back of menu). I believe the owner was also in the restaurant talking about how fresh all the meat are, especially the wild game on the menu. Hearing what he had to say about the freshness and actual wild game, we opted for the Elk Burger and the Venison Burger. We had also heard about the hot wings being phenomenal so we order a 5 piece order of hot wings.
If the waitress ask if you want your fries Redneck Style, Yes, Yes you do. Trust me. It’s a seasoning the owner has made I believe, and adds a slight spicy but great flavor to the french fries. You can also add this spice on the burgers, and the wings. I ordered a Venison Burger Medium, with grilled red onions, Ghost Habernero Cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce and pickles, with redneck fries. My husband orders the Elk Burger Medium Well with Provolone plain, with redneck fires. The burgers themselves are at least 98% pure wild game, and they are delicious and super super fresh. It was some of the best game we have had in a while. Extremely juicy, and perfectly cooked. The fries looked hand cut and fresh as well. The wings we ordered 5 with redneck seasoning and Hot sauce. These wings were on point. Think of the surrounding local wing places, and these wings are in the exact same ball field as theirs.
Overall, we were extremely pleased and happy with our meals. We loved the burgers, we loved the wings, we loved the ambiance. The waitress was so kind and sweet. We will definitely be back!

The food was amazing! The ambience was comforting. Thank you Mr. Lawrence… a true life changing experience… I would tell anyone to go and get some of the best burgers u’ve had in a while!!!

This place is amazing. The owner is very friendly and talked to us about the meat cuts. Nothing is frozen meaning that everything is fresh. We both got Elk Burger with quail eggs and redneck fries. It was very good. The ambiance is great and the staff friendly. Will definitely be back.

I had never heard of this place until I was looking around Unilocal one day. We ended up going to same day I found out about it, the wild meat selection is what brought us here. My boyfriend enjoys trying different meats on his burgers. They also have a bison burger which isn’t on the menu. The chicken was very juice and not dry like a lot of places. Try the gator bites! Everything was great, I’ll be telling people about it!

Huntsville has a new gem joint and it’s the Hunt Club Subs and Grill! The place is in an ideal location on the corner of its strip mall they have a patio area for the nicer weather and lots of room in the bright clean and beautiful dining room. Plenty of flat screens all showing outdoor shows and sports!
The staff is the best there could be! So friendly and attentive, Ashley remembered my name on my second visit.
The menu is fun and filling. Burgers and sandwiches pulled pork and unusual game selection. Everything is made with care and brought out in ample portion.
Just writing this review reminds me to go there for lunch again today.
This place would be my local watering hole and a must visit after shooting targets at the gun range next door!

I dragged my boyfriend here because of the wild game burgers and fries. I was excited and hopeful. I started with the gator bites and was instantly in love. Very few restaurants can do them justice and turn over cook them. The bites were huge and not rubbery at all. My guy had the chicken sub which was toasted to perfection and I had the elk burger and fries. The elk burger was juicy and big. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the service can’t be beat. I highly recommend trying this place. It might be a drive but it’s so worth it!!!

I must confess, going into a place called «Hunt Club Subs and Grill» was a little worrisome since I have been a long time vegetarian, and given the «décor». I was not entirely sure I was in the right place. How wrong I was…
From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a «HI y’all» from just about every staff member we could see.
As we sat down the owners themselves came by and asked where we were from, and what brought us in. They welcomed us to us into their establishment, and spoke to us for a short while.
The husband went into great detail about everything on their menu. He explained that they used only the highest quality grass-​fed, free-​range meats that are cooked the way they ought to be. He is quite knowledge. We were offered a variety of beers from domestics to imports. I decided on the ‘Kentucky Bourbon Beer”, which… after a few sips of this magnificent brew I would have, if I could, loaded a keg up into the car to bring it back up North for my friends.
After a short while the wife came over and took our orders. My friends laughed out loud, as explained a I am vegetarian.
Without batting an eyelash she suggested the «Bad Hunter» salad, their own signature; «Redneck Fries», and the «Gouda Bites.» She went on to say that they would attempt to accommodate any requests that I may have. The husband also suggested their free-​range quail eggs. I have NEVER had a quail egg in my life, but after explaining the nutritional value… I decided to give it a try. As a fitness buff, I thought… More protein than eggs you say? Yes please!!!
A short time later our food came to the table. My salad was HUGE and was packed with every veggie they probably had in their kitchen, and topped off with a couple quails eggs. Then there were the Gouda bites. words can not do them justice!
The salad, the quails eggs, and the gouda bites were the perfect trifecta of yumminess!!! I don’t even think my meat eating friends had it as good as I did at that moment. Although they swear that their burgers and fries were the best they ever had anywhere.
In the end, we stayed way past lunch, into the late afternoon sipping on cocktails and speaking with the locals, as well as the people who worked there. Everyone was so incredibly welcoming and kind.
I have to say… even though I am not a meat-​eater, Hunt Club won me over. The food, the service, the people who work there, and even the other patrons had me wishing for places like this up north. When it was time to leave, the owners and the staff came to say goodbye and wish me safe travels.

O my o my great food, great people, and great atmosphere. The bama buck is so good it will make you want to smack your mama. Good place for family and specials that will keep you coming back to get the chance to taste more of their fantastic food. Will not be disappointed.

My husband and I decided to order Hunt Club to go, it was amazing! I had their 5 piece medium wings and friends, my husband had their turkey sub. The food is fresh, amazing and fast! We will definitely be going back. We ordered pretty late, they closed at 10, and the staff was still accommodating with our order.

This place a a really nice place for friends to hang up and have a Friday or Saturday night out. The staff really goes out of there way to make sure you have a great experience. Hunt club is a very clean restaurant. I have been here three times and the experience just keeps getting better. I had the Bobcat fish sub again tonight. I would recommend Hunt Club Subs N Grill to any one for a date night out or for a group of friends to get together for some suds and subs.

This place is awesome! Great food and great service! Try the Okefenokee! Delicious! Redneck fries are awesome. My husband had the Grazer! Happy faces everywhere!

This place is great. If I lived in this area I’d be a regular. As it is I’ve been twice in a 5 day stay and may hit it again before I leave.
As soon as I walked in both times I wasn’t just greeted, I was welcomed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful making menu choices.
I’ve tried the antelope burger and the mud dog both times with the redneck fries. I wanted to try the elk but they were out and the antelope was a good runner up. You will be offered the wild game sauce, try it.
The mud dog is an all beef chili dog with real cheddar cheese and I had mine with onions. The chili was just made by the owner and was top notch. The mud dog is too good for a regulation hot dog bun and was in a warmed split roll that had to have been baked that day.
The redneck fries are worth mentioning all by themselves. I don’t know what’s in the seasoning but there are some red pepper flakes that give them a little kick. Both times they were cooked crisp outside, soft inside and the oil was really clean so you got the potato taste and not the taste of everything that had been fried before.
The food was really good and the people even better. Fantastic place.

Awesome folks, great food, great service. Must get the elk, bacon, grilled onion, mushroom, bacon, quail egg burger. Meat is never frozen. Have been many times and will continue to give Bo business. Thanks guys.

By far the best hamburger I’ve had in a long time! My husband had the elk burger and loved it. The owner is extremely friendly. Fast service. This will be our go to burger joint from now on!

Wow. This place is a whole new experience. I’d suggest the wild game burger. There are not any places like this nearby, and it offers such a great menu. Service was superb, and courteous. They were willing to go above and beyond to make your meal better. I’m going to recommend this to all my friends.

Service was great! We are their late on a Sunday and everything was still super fresh! Very different place but great food! Will definitely be back!

We almost skipped on this restaurant on the name alone. The name just makes it sound like a mediocre sub shop, which it is NOT!
We really enjoyed the food. We tried several different things. The caribean wings were delicious. They have several different wing flavors to choose from.
My husband and I chose the buffalo sub and the beef burger with redneck fries and homemade chips. Both were amazing. The buffalo sub is about a foot long, buffalo chicken covered in melted cheese and tossed in buffalo sauce. The beef burger was big and had all the fixings and choices of cheese include some different types like muenster and ghost pepper jack. The redneck fries are big, fresh, with a slight crunch and a little heat added. The homemade chips are hot and fresh and crunchy. Perfect!
The staff was nice and friendly. The owner met us at the door and we struck up a conversation about the new restaurant. We learned all of the meat is fresh, all natural, never frozen from his farm in GA. No antibiotics. Grass fed beef. There is also Antelope, VEnison, and buffalo to choose from.
Don’t miss out on this little gem right here in Madison. The owner told us he will soon open another site in downtown hsv.

Had the Antelope burger medium rare and they let me substitute a small salad in place of the fries. It was all fantastic. The owner was telling us how the meat is never frozen, he didn’t have any gator because he could tell it had been frozen, etc. I liked the flavor of the Antelope and others at the table were very happy with their selections. We’ll be back on a regular basis. Great mounts on the walls and a real nice feel. Wanted to just hang out…

Great burgers. Double barrel bacon cheeseburger with a Blue Marble Jack cheese. Cheese was great. Bacon was super thick cut and tons of smoke flavor. The burger was great. The fries were cooked perfectly and served hot. Owner was super friendly. Great experience. This is definitely a regular spot for us.
