Went there today after finding them through Unilocal.I’m not from Mad Hgts & we don’t have them near me. So opted to try something new. Glad I did. Got chicken Philly w/chipotle mayo done«Mike’s Way». Fantastic! I like my subs with a lot of condiment so the mayo and O&V were a superb combo. Def visit again when in town. Was fresh & tasty. About $ 8 a sub I think. Friendly staff during this visit as well.

Great sandwiches with more of an old italian deli feel than a mayonnaise and american cheese saturated«sub» that is the norm at some other places. I love getting freshly sliced cold cuts and having them do it «mike’s way», which is with oil, vinegar, and their own blend of spices. Contrary to what another person on here said, I think the prices are fairly reasonable. Also, the staff here is always extremely nice and friendly. I’m happy I found this place relatively near me. One thing I was disappointed in when I came here to eat lunch and study was that there was no wifi. Maybe I’m spoiled by the ubiquitous nature of free wifi these days, but it’s always a huge plus for me when a place has it.

Another sub shop close by to work, just a short one mile drive down John R Road. Not as fast as Jimmy Johns, not as many vegetables as Subway. I’ll go to Jersey Mikes when I crave a hot sub. Gets crazy busy during lunch. Came back from running a few errands during lunch, and got a chicken parm sub before heading back to the office. Military discount, that’s good(and probably why JM is popular with my co-workers). Tasty, pretty much wolfed it down when I got back to the office. I’m glad Mad Heights/Troy has so many sub options! Will repeat and recommend for a quick meal!

When you picture a sub in your mind, like the kind the fat guys always eat in cartoons, this is the place they get them. I friggin love this place.

I was in a tight spot on the way to go study and this place actually worked perfectly. I was craving chipotle so bad but the line was out of the door. I didn’t have a lot of time and I have never been to a Jersey Mikes before. I enjoy a good sub so I figured I would give it a shot. I came over and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly. I don’t think I have ever had customer service that was so awesome from a fast food/sub shop before. The sub was pretty good too. Definitely make a stop in if you get a chance. The menu is pretty good too. I should honestly be giving this place more stars, but I’m gonna knock it one star off because there was a little bit of a confusion made over orders, but that’s completely understandable. It happens in the food industry. When it’s lunch time and you get a huge influx of people you need to be understanding. Overall: great quality, great staff, nice atmosphere, fastest place for lunch in the area. Keep up the good work!

Big giant sandwiches! I personally opt for the Philly Cheesesteak over the cold subs. Leagues better than my childhood favorite Tubby’s. Better quality meat, cheese and bread. Get the whole and eat half now and half later OR just take it straight to the face! It ain’t cheap but it is solid value for money. Welcome to Michigan Jersey Mike’s!

So yummy! Subway and everything else are so generic compared to jersey mikes. Jersey mikes meat is super fresh and and I love getting my subs«mikes way». Definitely my preferred sub shop now. The staff is so friendly here. Every single time I am greeted pleasantly and asked how my day is going, something you normally would not get at a fast food restaurant like this. Yes it’s expensive. Yes it worth it. Just try it. I signed up for the email club too so I get coupons sent to me regularly. They also have a loyalty rewards system. A certain amount of points gets you a free sub. Score!

Bruce Springsteen. Charles Forbes. Queen Latifah. Ray Liotta. Jason Alexander. Jon Bön Jovi. These are all rich people from New Jersey, and I think the folks at Jersey Mikes may have them confused with the common man in Southeast Michigan. Because how else would they get off charging $ 8 for a tiny sandwich? Listen, I took economics in high school(Mr Csont provided some hilarious anecdotes about working at Toys R Us in his younger years, however, this is a review for Expensive Shit Sandwiches R Us, so I will get back to the main point) so I am familiar with the concept of supply and demand. But how often is Bruce Springsteen eating here that they think that is a fair price for a sandwich that isn’t even a footlong? Coincidentally, I had planned on getting a $ 5 footlong from Subway, but couldn’t find any information on footlong specials on their website. Anybody know if they’re still doing that? Now you can call me Pete Pennypincher(read my review of Pekin Tokyo for more hilarious pincher stories) but I was just really mad that it was $ 10 for a sandwich and some chips. I wish I would’ve just swished around some whey protein and milk in my mouth and called it a lunch. I have a big bag of whey protein at my house because I work out a lot. Overhead press, bench press, incline press, hell, I can do it all. I am pretty strong. While I do have enough will power to keep a tight body, I could not contain my rage when I finished this sandwich. That was it? All I was left with was a goopy mess of buffalo sauce and remnants of their strange«Philly Steak Chicken” – Which looks like cat food! Here kitty kitty! Eat this Jersey Mikes! Just kidding – its too dang expensive to feed to a cat! Anyway so thats what I got was the Buffalo Chicken sub. It wasn’t filling, it wasn’t good, and it was not a good value. I will never come here again. And I own several Bruce Springsteen albums. Tramps like us(People who like good value and taste at lunch), baby we were born to run away from Jersey Mikes!

First time here. I told the employee so, and she recommended the original Italian and the Philly Streak. It’s cold so I opted for the hot Philly, 7 inch. She cooked it right up and it was done before I knew it. Pretty simple sub. Not sure if you can get the extra toppings displayed at the front of the glass for free. Like I said, it was my first time here and she had the sub wrapped and ready to go when my name was called. I wasn’t impressed with the sub. Cost $ 10+ for the sub, chips, and a 20 oz drink. I think I’m still hungry… Yes, yes I am. There could be more filling in the sub, as another review mentioned. I feel like the sub was mostly bread but I feel like thats probably standard for most sub places. I probably won’t be back. I’ll attach a pic of the(sad looking?) sub and the menu. SN: There’s a very filling Chipotle next door

I avoided this place for months after in opened. I’d see the same Unilocal friends checking in on a regular basis but I’m loyal to Lenny’s. A month or so back I popped in during a slow time for them and the counter person order for me Roast Beef Mike’s way — Onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Vinegar, Oil and Spices It’s just really really good. Why I don’t know. Maybe its because they make their own roast beef or maybe because it’s messy or once again maybe it’s just good. I did notice this location isn’t open late but it’s a solid lunch option.

You really can’t go wrong with anything here, whether it’s a hot or cold sub. We typically get their roast beef and provolone sub(giant size, around 15″) Mike’s way and always leave happy and fulfilled. FYI, the giant size is great to share between two people who like the same flavor profiles. Otherwise, get the regular at 7″ or for a snack/smaller appetites, get the mini(around 5″). The subs are largely made well, but Husband always remarks that they are a bit stingy on protein. He’s used to the locations out in Jersey being stuffed to the max. I personally like their whole wheat because it has enough sweet and nutty flavors to balance out and enhance the flavors of the meats. The added acidity from the cider vinegar used in Mike’s way seasoning is the exclamation point to each bite. This location specifically is very easy to get to, but during busy hours, it can be a little tough on parking. It’s not very big, and you have to share with other businesses. Regardless, the ingredients and service are consistent with other MI locations, and the rewards program is attractive. Definitely a much better option to that of Subway.

I had a roast beef and cheese sub with lettuce and tomato. As hard as I tried, I could only taste the lettuce and tomato,. no taste on the roast beef or cheese whatsoever… I think the ingredients might’ve not been the freshest… I would give it another chance maybe with an Italian sub of sorts, but I’ve been disappointed less with less expectations… I thought this place would be awesome but the quality just didn’t stand up. However, the environment is comfortable and pricing not too terrible, so 2 stars it is.

My fascination with subs & sandwiches go deeper then just the fireworks my taste buds experience while devouring cold cuts on fresh baked bread. I like a back story to go with why I might like a chain & I feel like Jersey Mike’s & I are a match made in heaven. It’s no secret how much I love a good sub or sandwich, but it’s also nice to see a young man who shared the same passion as I do such a long time ago. At age 14, Peter Cancro of New Jersey took a job at Mike’s, a neighborhood sandwich shop founded in1956. When the shop went up for sale in 1975, Peter’s mom suggested he buy it. With help from a high school football coach who was also a banker, Peter(a high school senior, age 17), managed to pull together $ 125,000 in three days. I would say the rest is history but with the amount of store locations popping up all over the U.S. I think we’re just seeing the begining of Jersey Mike’s! As others have suggested I would go with the #13(which also happens to be my lucky number). Thinly shaved ham, cappacuolo, prossciuttini, pepperoni, salami & provolone all sliced in front of you as you order. The sub is dressed through a glass particition only inches from your nose which is being teased by all the wonderful smells of oils, herbs and the aroma of fresh baked bread. I suggest going Mike’s way with light vinegar & oil with some of the sweet peppers they put on their steak & cheese subs(thanks to Ron C for that tip). I must warn you, they pile these subs high, so be sure to bring your appetite. My only pet peeve with this location is the time it can take to get a sub when you are hungry or in a rush. One employee starts the sub by slicing the bread and cold cuts, another dresses it to your specifications while another rings you up. It’s not uncommon for this process to take more then 10 minutes. I think it is part of a design to get you so hungry in anticipation of the sub it tastes 5 times better then it would if they just made it really quick and sent you on your way. All in all Jersey Mike’s has knocked Subway out of our dining rotation. The price is higher but if your a true sub fan, you can’t put a price on the feel of fresh sliced cold cuts hitting your tongue as apposed to some meat that was sliced at a wear house days ago packed in between some paper deli sheets. Be sure to grab one of their punch cards and I hope I have talked you into going to try one of Jersey Mike’s subs!

Can’t hate on this chain… food is good… very fresh… concepts been done over and over and over again. It get ‘s a fair 3 star from me because from the most generic of sub chains like subway, this at least has great bread. Aside from that, it’s delicious.(«,)

Probably my favorite«chain» sub shop currently(certainly doesn’t hurt that they put this one less than a mile from my workplace). The only local contender really is Dibella’s in Troy, which is a father drive for me. This Jersey Mike’s is brand new and neat and clean, with helpful staff. Prices are fair. I’m reviewing the subs I’ve tried so far, in order of preference: #1 —(13) The Original Italian — Get it «Mike’s Way» with all the fixin’s and have them add their hot pepper spread. Simply put, excellent. Better than any«chain» sub has any right to be. #2 —(6) Famous Roast Beef & Provolone — The secret to this one is their roast beef. Roasted and hand-carved on-site, it is properly medium rare and actually tastes pretty decent. #3 —(9) Club Supreme — Everything that is good about the Roast Beef sub but busier(+ turkey and bacon). It is interchangeably awesome with the 6, just depends what you are in the mood for. ADDED4÷28÷14 #4 —(12) Cancro Special — A current«Featured Sub» from a rotating list. It’s basically just a Roast Beef & Provolone but with a layer of pepperoni thrown on for good measure. You can’t go wrong with the Roast Beef here, in case you’re noticing a theme. #5 —(4) Provolone, Prosciuttini, Cappacuolo — Another current«Featured Sub.» Basically it’s just a variant on their Original Italian(one of many) with only two of the five meats. The peppery crust of the Prosciuttini is what gives this one its unique flavor. ADDED2÷7÷14 #6 —(2) Provolone, Ham, Cappacuolo — Another delicious variation of the Italian theme. Gotta do it Mike’s Way with hot pepper spread. ADDED6÷2÷14 #7 —(20) Grilled Pastrami Reuben — The meat itself is good but the thousand island is generic and the kraut is completely impotent(no snap or flavor to speak of). Also too bready. I probably wouldn’t order this again. ADDED2÷17÷14 #8 —(43) Chipotle Cheesesteak — Nothing special, not sure what all the fuss is about. Too bready, not enough meat/cheese, and barely any spicy kick to speak of. A bit of a disappointment, though I am a harsh critic when it comes to cheesesteaks. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.0 because the cold subs are so darned good. Would be an even 4.0(or even a 4.5) if the quality of the hot subs matched the cold.

I just crushed my very first Jersey Mike’s sub and it was almost life changing. I ordered up a regular sized Jersey Shore Favorite… provolone, ham and cappacuolo on a white sub roll. The man behind the sub tried to talk me into their full(jumbo, giant, super freaking huge size?) size but I assure you the regular is enough to satisfy a serious hunger. I almost forgot to mention that they slice all their meats and cheeses fresh to order, while you watch. The whole operation was pretty impressive and kind of methodical which I can totally appreciate. When he finished stacking toppings onto my sandwich he passed it to a young lady to cut and wrap… it must’ve stood 4−5″ tall before she wrapped it, bagged it and even put a little twist in the bag to keep it all cozy. Service was fantastic, the store was clean and bright, and the staff was even a little chatty, asking me about my big plans for the Saturday evening. I also noticed the franchise owner out on the dining floor talking to customers which impressed me that much more. This is a solid joint that serves solid sandwiches. Fresh, fresh, fresh, pretty fast and friendly, and mighty tasty.

I have really been wanting to try this place and when I saw they were putting one near my work I got as giddy as a schoolgirl. This location popped up super fast too. From the time they broke ground until they opened it seemed like it had only been a few months. As today is their second day being open I knew there would be a wait. I didn’t expect that wait to be 45 minutes from the time I got in line to the time I paid and received my sammich though. I will chalk that up to growing pains. I ordered the Chipotle Cheese Steak(Giant) plus Mushrooms and it was by far the best Cheese Steak I have had. It was super gooey, yet not messy to eat which I had anticipated it to be. Flavor wise it all just gelled together real well. And the term«Giant» is definitely fitting regarding its size and was worth the $ 11 I spent for it. I’d give the place a perfect rating, but the wait being as long as it was took away from it a bit. Also one of the guys there working the register thought he was being funny making fun of a lady who didn’t hear him call her order out, but it actually came off a bit rude. The place was super noisy with all of the people and the radio going so it was pretty easy for the lady to miss her order when it was called out. I will definitely go back, but will give it a few weeks to die down and also when their online ordering system is up and running.
