This restaurant is one of the Di Ciccos franchise. The restaurant looks wear out and needs a little make over to update it so it feels more comfy. About the food: — Portions are good, they would fill you — Flavour is average — The pasta is cooked in the soft side Service was very friendly and attentive. In general, a good Italian option in Madera if you don’t want to go to the overprice Vineyard.

Forkless In Madera, I want to give these guys 5 stars, but who delivers food to a hotel room and then not provide a plastic fork or spoon. I realized this of course after the delivery guy left. Went down to lobby in an elevator with the B.O. king of Central California, trying to hold my breath for what feels like 15 minutes to go down 2 floors. I ask the gal at the check-in desk if I can steel some plastic cutlery, which she was very happy to do as she is explaining how this restaurant«always forgets the utensils.» So I take the stairs up two flights for previously mentioned reasons and realize I left my room without a key. Two flights of stairs down, new key, two flight of stairs back up and I am confronted with my hunger and the knowledge that I am seriously out of shape. I’m also slightly pissed at this point. Those Bastards!!! Then I open up the food and eat and I got even angrier, because I was just starting to hate them and they ruined it. Those bastards make some delicious food. I already had this whole review written up in my head and then I took a bite of my calamari steak and had to rethink my opinion. This is 5 star food. Minestrone was also delicious. But What the fork man. If they would have just have given me a 2 penny plastic fork I would have been raving about this place. There customer service gets ripped in several reviews, so maybe they are bastards. However, they make great food, so order it delivered and for Pete’s sake, pack a knife, fork, and spoon!

I am now a happy fan of Madera’s DiCicco’s! My hubby and I came here weekly for several months this summer… it was clean and dust-free… the food was very good… the Bread was served warm each time… and, the waitresses were friendly and attentive. The Eggplant Parmesan is consistent. tender, without being mushy, and flavorful. The Lasagna with a side order of Meatballs is a fav… Although, a time or two it was served with the Meatballs cut up on top!?? The waitress did offer to send it back, but it wasn’t that big of a deal… just odd. We’ve ordered other items, but they can be a little inconsistent in flavor and in texture. So we stick with what we found WE like… we leave happy… and, with enough for lunch the next day!

I got the Chicken fettuccini with broccoli, and I was sick to my stomach the rest of the night. The next day my girlfriend ate the leftovers, not knowing about my experience and now she is sick. Thanks guys.

I can’t even remember the last time I had such terrible service. I ordered 2 calzones and a cheesecake as a mid-week treat for my fiancé and figured since we were both tired, we’d have it delivered. For reference, I live 5 minutes away from the restaurant. An hour and a half goes by and we’re both starving so I called the restaurant to see if the delivery guy got lost. So the girl on the phone was about to take my info and call the delivery guys but I could hear another hostess/server talking to her saying«it’ll be there» and she gets back on the phone with me saying, «I’ll be there shortly.» I’m sorry, do we live in the Stone Age? We have cell phones, so we can text or call the driver and ask where they are. So all of a sudden, 5 minutes after the phone call my food shows up– soggy and cold! I have a feeling they just made the food and let it sit under a heat lamp for an hour until I called and they remembered I existed. On top of all that– they forgot to put my cheesecake on with the order and were already closed when I called to complain. This restaurant suuuuucks when it comes to service. And the food, frankly, is not good enough to deal with the terrible delivery service. And when I asked around, I heard a ton of people have been having the same delivery issues. If there was an option to give no stars, I would have done that.

Terrible business!!! I just called the Madera location to order for delivery. The price was outrageous — twice what the menu on their website quotes. When I asked the girl about the price, she told me delivery is always dinner prices. This is no where on their website. I decided I would pick it up and was still quoted a much higher price than the menu. When I asked ehy, the girl told me the prices on the menu online are for Fresno. Wtf? Their website has a drop down menu for location and then the menu. She told me that’s how it is and they would not honor the price on listed on their own website. Shockingly, I just met another person staying where I am who had the same experience. Needless to say, I canceled my order and will NEVER eat there again. Horrible business practices!!! This is now way to earn repeat customers, but they obviously don’t care about customer service or satisfaction. I wish I could give zero stars!

We came in for lunch with a party of 5. The hostess asked how many people in the party and after asking said it would be 20 minutes. We waited, and waited and saw other patrons come in a be seated, so after 20 minutes we again asked about the wait time and the hostess said she did not have our name down. She placed our name on the list, still patrons were being seated before us. Finally the hostess said she had 2 tables far from each other and we could take those and be split up– we agreed since we only had 20 minutes left of lunch hour. When we were seated, we were all seated in the same table. It was so long of a wait that one of the persons in our party had to order to go and was not able to eat with us. When we ordered our food– soup and salad to make it as quick as possible; the salad was average and the minestrone soup was very bland, mostly potatoes and cabbage. The bread was excellent– so I’ll give one star. I’ve been to several Dicicco’s in Fresno and Clovis and have always had great experiences. I was very disappointed with my experience at this location.

Service is bad sometimes. Seems as some waiters don’t care about giving good service.

Boring Italian food that all tastes the same. Even the pizza is boring. Try something else from a different restaurant. I’ve never understood why this place was popular.

First of all, All the Diciccos are not the same. Madera Diciccos is the absolute hands down best! Clovis us the worst and I’d recommend that they close down. I had the Calizone in Madera and it was delicious. The lasagna is one of my favorites. Marco is very friendly and the staff give Excellent service.

Went to DiCicco’s Madera, CA tonight. When I returned home and dished out everyone’s meal, these two items were overcooked to say the least. Usually when we go to DiCicco’s, the food is Great. However, these last couple of visits have been AWFUL !! This is the reason why businesses lose customers and get a bad rap. There is no way that anyone who works in DiCicco’s, especially the managers or owners, would eat either of these items, so why would you serve them to your customers ?? I live in the country, and I am so disgusted that I have to drive so far in town to get food, and when I get home to eat, it looks like this. Very unhappy customer !! Since I’m at it, the sauce for our calzones and the soups were about half full. Not at all the usual serving. Wanted the bruschetta so my Husband could try it for the first time, he doesn’t want it again. Good thing my son is a teenager and eats practically everything, so he kept and ate it. Probably won’t be going to DiCicco’s again any time soon, if ever !!

Cute, old-style Italian place just off the 99. Great place to stop if you want a bit longer a break than fast food would provide. Staff was very friendly, and portions are nice and big.

I have ate at this restaurant more then a dozen times and have order out more then I can count. My family and I decided to go have dinner here and I must say I was quite disappointed. Our silverware was not clean at all, our dishes looked like they were quickly rinsed but not throughly washed. One thing that I was extremely disappointed about was the service. I didn’t ask for the waitress name she was an elder lady with black or dark brown hair not sure but she was so rude. I think I expressed better customer service then she did and I was the customer! I always told her thank you and I also told her have a good night and she never really acknowledged us as customers. One thing I always liked about Diciccos is that it has a comfortable home feeling but this last time there really made me think twice about this restaurant.

Very friendly, everyone these is very personable. The food is always great, can’t say that I have had anything that I don’t like. The clam chowder with the warm bread is a must have on a Friday. My kids are usually picky but when it comes to DiCicco’s there are no complaints. The calzones are also very good, we usually get the sauce on side just because the flavor of the meat and cheese is so yummy by itself. I’m not sure what night it is, I want to say Friday’s also, they have someone who plays the accordion. He does an amazing job, another addition to the cheerful atmosphere. We leave there full and relaxed, I recommend the experience to anyone

Greetings; Very seldom will I write a negative review … BUT … this is one of my few exceptions. Let’s go through(some of) the list of fiascos: 1) AFTER ordering, we were informed they were out of homemade bread and had sent someone to the store to buy some. But they would give us crackers until the store bought bread got there. 2) My fiancée’s Shrimp Alfredo was so «pasty» tasting and slimy, and the sauce so dry, she couldn’t eat the noodles … AND … the shrimp(which are apparently frozen) were SOOVERCOOKED they were similar in consistency and flavor to that of a rubber Superball from the 1970’s. *I sent it back and had her reorder ITWASSOBAD.* 3) I ended up fighting with roughly a 16 hour bout of food poisoning from the(taste and consistency of frozen then cooked) Tortellini Alfredo that I had ordered. 4) My fiancée’s replacement order of «Mushroom Spaghetti» WASEDIBLE, however some of the mushrooms were raw and the rest had the flavor and consistency of canned. 5) On apositive note: We DIDGETONEBASKET of warm store bought bread about half way through our meals. ** There are FEWPLACES I WILLNOT give a second chance to, and try again … but this is definitely one restaurant that has made that list.**

I’ve been eating here my whole life and Madera DiCicco’s never disappoints. The fresh bread is always warm and delicious, service is outstanding, and they even deliver! Anything with meatballs and/or red sauce is my favorite here. Meatball sandwiches are the BEST for lunch and I usually order the Meatballs al forno for dinner.

We just had another a great experience with this location. They went above and beyond with there service. They were able to have a very large party order ready sooner then they promised and the food was great. Big crowd pleaser. Lasagna, rigatoni, meatballs and cal zones all were perfect
