The Fish Tacos… horrible. I took a couple of bites, then threw it away. It made me worry that it would make me sick. Too much breading that wasn’t even fully-​cooked. The fish is huge, takes up the whole tortilla. Very much a thrown together menu item.
My son had a Chicago Style Hot Dog. He loved it. It looked very good.
The Fried Green Beans, excellent. A great appetizer. I would go back for the Fried Green Beans.
Service was pretty slow. Beautiful view. Casual atmosphere. People in swim suits, shirts off. Sand everywhere.
I might go again if I am in the area. I will order a hot dog and the green beans. No more Fish Tacos from there for me.

They have the best fish tacos on the beach. Service is slower, but your on beach time and they don’t usually have many workers. Be patient and enjoy the view!

The Snack Shack. We live next door in Ocean Sands. I called this afternoon and asked how long live music was playing. Marco said at least 7pm. I went down at 515pm and ordered a bucket of corona light. All out of light, so I settled on regular Corona. The live music packed up at 530pm. Don’t lie to me… I won’t be back.
Also…bunch of signs saying order at the window, but for ice cream, come inside. Non alcoholic beverages ordered at food window, alcohol must be ordered from old lady bartender, who is very very slow. Save money, stay away from this place.

Had breakfast there today after having a few beer tat bar last night. Freshly made egg sausage burrito, big portion, lots of potatoes on the side, not too salty and fresh. Side of bacon and hot coffee, sat on deck overlooking the sea. Friendly people, you can’t get a better local down home breakfast on the beach than this. Big area, plenty of room to spread out.

Great place… 1st time at the Snack Shack and was very pleasantly surprised to have such a great place right ON THE BEACH. Great food, great view, service was good with expected laid back and relaxed atmosphere which helped me s l o w d o w n and enjoy… can’t wait to go back!

Food here was good. The location is fabulous. The service is horrible! Waited 20 minutes before we were even acknowledged and then waited another 10 before our order was taken. I was upset and let the waiter know how long it had been. He took our order and then a few minutes later another waiter asked if he could help us. We said we had put in our order. After another few minutes 2nd waiter came again. I complained and he apologized and said they were on «beach time». Funny how it was only our table on «beach time», since other tables that had come in after us had drinks and food!!! We were visiting and so we will not be back.

Sehr nettes Lokal direkt am Strand von Madeira Beach im Archibald Beach Park gelegen. Nicht allzu teuer für die wirklich gute Lage. Von der Terrasse aus hat man das Treiben am Strand sehr gut im Blick. Wer auf der Suche nach einer kurzen Auszeit von der Sonne und dem Strand ist, ist hier genau richtig.

Had the fish & chips with a pina colotta. Live music was happening as well — Thursday evening. Great spot to watch sunset & my food was great. No issues with service but we were in no hurry just chill’in to the tunes.

Cute little place to stop for a quick bite to eat. I think the reviews on here are a little harsh. I’m guessing they are from people without patience and serving experience.
The service was slow but they servers acknowledged that they would be with us in a few minutes. Servers were friendly and there was only two people running everything including the store. Give your hard-​working service folks a break!
We had the coconut shrimp, steak tacos and fish and chips. All were delicious! I didn’t love the French fries here but that is to be expected at a little shop that is probably using frozen fries.
There was a large parking lot on either side of the shack that charged $ 1.50 per hour. It was credit card only.
If you are looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy the ocean view I’d stop here. Just know you are in for nice and slow meal. Not such a bad deal!

I have tried to visit this restaurant twice and have had rude service both times. The first time, we waited over an hour for our meal and ended up leaving. No one was apologetic for the wait and seemed flabbergasted that we would want to leave without eating. The kitchen was visible and filthy, with the cook wiping sweat off his brow and then putting his dirty hands back on the food. The second time we opted to try their ice cream and were greeted rudely. The cashier walked away after we placed our order and went outside, serving two tables. She didn’t tell us where she was going or when she would make our ice cream, just up and walked away. I am done trying to eat at this place, you shouldn’t waste your time either.

Went yesterday for breakfast at 10am, took a whole hour for breakfast to be served. We were very worried about our car getting ticketed because you have to pay to park. We were very close to just walking out.
Food was decent but not worth the panic of possibly getting a parking ticket.

The food was great but the service SUCKED!!! Our drinks came out well after we finished our meal and they were not comped. Also my sisters margarita (which was out after food was done as well) was all ice– she asked to exchange it for a beer and she was told she had to pay for half of it because she drank some «per the manager». Really?

The steak tacos were very good. $ 15 bucket of 16oz buds not a bad deal for the beach. Live music Thursday and weekends. This Saturday’s guy not so good but have heard others are. But sitting on the beach with beer is fun.

Recently remodeled with new kitchen, new owners, new chef. Best fish & chips on the beach. Draft & bottled brews. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Lots of outdoor covered tiki seating with Gulf view. Mark Mann on Friday evenings is a blast, with energy reminded me of Jerry Lee Lewis. Rental beach chairs, umbrellas, and floatation toys nearby. Reasonable metered public parking.

Driving down the outer beaches in the Clearwater/​Saint Petersburg area, we were looking for a terrace on the gulf side and we were surprise that there was almost none! In fact driving southbound, we almost gave up… every places were on the inner bay side, the outer side was all condos, houses and motels that is until we bumped in the Madeira Beach Snack Shack.
The location is really what makes this place great. The have a large terrace right on the beach! The place is completely unpretentious. It’s great to sit down, have a drink while the sun comes down in the gulf and listen to live entertainment with a mixed crowd of locals and visitors.
A nice place to relax and enjoy the coast!

La bouffe ici n’est pas mémorable, mais l’endroit est bien situé et la terrasse donne sur la mer, ce qui est très agréable. Ben quoi! un shack, c’est pas le château de Walt Disney quand même!
Suis venue un dimanche soir avec ma chérie pour prendre un verre et profiter de la plage et du beau temps. J’ai siroté un verre de chardonnay (correct) et partagé une frite (correcte) avec mon amour.
La terrasse était très agréable, il y avait même une chanteuse accompagnée de sa guitare! Pas mal pour une petite place sans prétention…
La clientèle est simple, des touristes en vacances et quelques locaux qui veulent juste profiter du soleil et d’une bière ou d’une crème glacée. Je vous aurai prévenu: ce n’est vraiment pas la place pour flasher!
