Our regular resort was booked. Reserved #49 last fall and was really looking forward to staying here for a change. Pros: Good location. Clean pool and pool area. Parking is easy and monitored. Outdoor grills available. Outdoor picnic tables. Nice landscaping. Cons: Our room had floors so dirty that you couldnt go barefoot at all. A walk from the bedroom to the bathroom barefoot was not do-able because your sheets would have sand and black from your feet. And we didn’t go to the beach! The cupboards had dishes but the smell of mold in them was pervasive. Definitely high damp in this unit. Sheets on bed felt damp as well. Informed front desk on our way out. Could be a nice place with a little more care.

Hotel was clean quiet and the staff was friendly. Close to beach access and restaurants. Check out is at 4PM which gave us extra time to enjoy our last day. Will be staying here again.

I REALLY like this place. We stayed New Year’s Eve and the day after. The room 29 we were in was huge, clean and very well equipped with everything we needed and then some. The staff was extremely friendly and customer service oriented! There is a great place right next door for breakfast, lunch and dinner called Screwy Louie’s. The food is priced very cheap and it’s so close you can get to-go food and bring it back to your room! Even the guests at Beach Isles were friendly. It’s a locally-owned and operated place. Personally, I think keeping your money in the local economy is also a good thing! It’s convenient location is close to everything! I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family! Also, a heated pool and pet-friendly!

This place apparently just got renovated so I did not have some of the issues other reviewers had. New tile floors, old but clean bathrooms, kitchen in room, two double beds and a pull out couch. Old tv but DVD player with a lot of movies at the front desk to borrow. The pool was WARM and awesome. They have beach toys for the kids to borrow as well as chairs and mats. Most of all they are PETFRIENDLY which was so awesome since it’s hard to find a room with a bull mastiff lol My only bone of contention is there were five people and a dog in my room but they gave me three towels and then threatened to charge me when I asked for more.

Terrible experience! Hotel was under renovation, which they neglected to tell us. constant banging, drilling etc. beginning every day at 8 am. Did not offer any kind of discount during renovation. Beds uncomfortable and linens appeared dirty. Would not stay again!

Great location, inexpensive, clean, friendly. I had plenty of clean towels, there was a pool, cable tv(although I wasn’t in. the room much), walk across the street & you are on the beach. I’d stay here again. Thanks Tami!(They even let me stay parked on property after I checked out so I could still hang at the beach). Granted, this IS a motel on the beach, but for the price and location, I’d stay again. If you are used to the Westin or other high end hotels, then you may not like this place.

I give it one star because the people there were SO nice and another because it was cheap and the location was good… but it was kind of a sh*#hole. The wall-to-wall carpet was filthy(as in, walk barefoot on it and our feet turn black) and there were roaches in the bathroom(I’m getting queezy just thinking about it). The pool was nice, except that it had this lovely black mildew stain all along the water-line. It was somewhere around $ 90/night for a studio with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. It’s not on the beach but across the street from it. You have to go up the block to get to public beach access ’cause the other hotels give you a hard time for traversing their property to get to the beach. I’m just glad we only had to stay there a short time. Had it not been high-season, all the hotels totally booked and had I not been travelling with a baby, I would’ve bailed and found another place to stay. I suppose you really do get what you pay for when it comes to Gulf beach hotels.
