Draught House

(Disclaimer: we did not try the food) I loved this place — so many great beers! Cool ambiance. Definitely the best Michigan beer selection on the island. Went here both nights we stayed.

48 taps here. One is vodka, three are light domestics, but the rest pump out an impressive assortment of beers, ciders, and meades, mostly from Michigan, with a scattering of imports and out-​of-​state micros.
That’s the good. Not-​so-​good are the portions and prices. A lot of beers are served in snifters, even ones that aren’t particularly strong. There doesn’t seem to be much logic in what goes into snifters vs. pints. And most of the drafts here, in either vessel, run $ 7 – 10.
But, this is Mackinac Island, where everything is a bit more expensive. And there’s no place on the island where you’ll find a better beer list.

I first noticed the Draught House after arriving on the ferry. You can’t miss the wall of beer taps as you walk by the window.
The bar is part of Mary’s Restaurant so the food comes form there. We didn’t have any food so this review is just the bar. (See Mary’s for reviews of the food and restaurant.)
We stopped in to try some of the beer on our first night on the island. It was a busy Friday night and we were lucky enough to catch a table by the window. They had a local band playing a wide selection of tunes both new and old. The crowd seemed to be having a good time and was singing along to some of the songs. The beer selection is fantastic. I think that most of the beers are from Michigan brewers. I tried several. Had a great time!

Thank you to Trey for being an awesome server and person. Calling me after I left my wallet at the bar and returning it with all of my children (credit cards) and loved ones (cash) in tact. Restoring my faith in humanity. Bless you! May the lord ‘make it rain’ on you.
Also awesome selection of rotating beers. Do the flight! A few times! Didn’t try much of the food, just a wedge salad but it was good. Lots of TVs in bar area if you need to catch a game. Didn’t catch the bartenders name, but very polite service.

Great beer selection, best on island. Bad bartender service they don’t take notice of customers. Had empty glass and they just kept walking by. Did not feel important.

Food is ok. Great selection of beer on draft. Down side very poor service. Staff is not attentive to people. Many time they walked by seeing our glass was empty and no rush to see if we want another drink. And they are not busy only 5 people setting at the bar with two bartenders. Will come back for the beer and suffer through the poor service

You gotta love a place that has 50 beers on draught, many of them local from Michigan. They offer a list of the beers, which would better serve their customers if it had more details about each beer. The prices are a bit high, compared to what we paid at other bars. They also offer flights of samples.

Great selection of beer. They have the highest selection on the island. The service was prompt and nice. Food was ok, chicken on the Caesar salad was a bit raw. The BBQ pizza– sauce was very tasty, however the chef went a little heavy with the cheese. The bar has lots of televisions to watch the game. This is a great place for drinking.
