Sorry I had so high hopes for this place. The pizza had a good taste too bad the pizza was burnt beyond recognition. It was really dark in the bar that I thought they just burnt part of the edges, my mistake. When it arrived at home I realized it was completely burnt. Now I like the cheese a little brown in it, but this was bad. Also they don’t clean the oven since I had burnt cheese stuck to bottom of my pizza. Bad, bad, bad. If the pizza wasn’t black it probably would taste ok, we will never know.

So, I’ve tried this place only because I had a gift card on but other then that I wouldn’t have tried it. When it comes to tacos & pizza I’m very picky from where or what pizza joint it’s coming from. Sometimes, the biggest makes a pizza can make is lacking on the pizza sauce & making a pizza crust too thick & it gets dry. In this case waterworks had the pizza crust just fine. I’m guessing it’s baked in a wood fire oven because that’s what it tasted like to me. Not, only that but I did notice on the pizza crust. But, there only mistake was the pizza sauce it was lacking flavor. The flavor was boring there was no «dam this is a good ass pizza I think I’ll order it again or make it my new pizza joint» but no nothing like that. Also, when I was picking up the pizza I think it was the owners daughter that was standing in the counter making another girl who works there to fix her hair. Like, who does that in a restaurant I’ve worked in a restaurant industry & I’ve never seen that before. I mean not in front of customers getting your hair fixed & while the food would be coming through the same way she was standing. So, that kind of made my stomach turned because didn’t know rather a hair can blow into the food while getting her hair fixed because she was close to the kitchen. The counter for deliver is that not far from the kitchen. Also, I did try other selection on the menu because on Facebook there page raved about how there sandwiches are delicious. Yeah, ok I ordered the meatball & Italian sausages«disgusting»(I fed that to my dog). The Italian sausage really lacked flavor, like there was no flavor at all. Like, it was bought from a company, heated it up & that’s it put it on the bun. No, seasoning nothing that was better to many Italian sausage that I tried before bursting with flavor & this was just boring. The meatball sandwich the sauce tastes like it can out a can, the meatball it self was also lacking flavor & gave it to my dog. That’s how bad it was, never will I order from here again. I have it a 2 star only because of the PIZZACRUSTNOTHINGELSE but other then that I would of given it a 1 star.

Pretty good pizza I must say. Went on a Saturday night, ate at the bar. Good music, good service. Bartenders were friendly, didn’t feel out of place for it being a local joint. My only criticism is they advertise on Unilocal about a cocktail menu, when I arrived and asked about a cocktail menu, they didn’t have one. I just ordered a basic cocktail.

Good pizza and beer joint. A little dusty and dirty with gaming and tv’s. Draws a nice mid to younger crowd. Had music and friendly service. Enjoyed having a beer with the fish. Dive bar indeed!

It’s a shame they have such great pizza because their customer service is horrendous. I can count at least 3 times I’ve tried to order from this place where I’ve hung up cursing at them because of their snide attitude and false superiority complex. Just down right rude and nasty. Inside is the typical scummy five bar filled with Stickney trash. Very uninviting. Over the last 2 years, they appear to put a lot of work into classing the place up by adding a dining room and carry out counter in the front. Unfortunately all that effort has been in vain since I have never seen either area in use. The prices here are typically above average of other local pizza establishments, and it’s not even worth it.

Wow, I really hate to write a review that disses this establishment. Hubby and I have truly enjoyed their pizza for a little over a year. I mean, its the best. But I just can’t shake what they’re currently doing wrong, so I’m writing this review anyway in the hopes that they’ll correct the problem. Well, when deciding what’s for dinner tonight, hubby shared the horrible revelation that the last time he was there to pick up the pizza, the guy making the pizza and the kitchen itself were filthy. He said the guy wasn’t wearing a hair net or gloves. His hands, the floor and the bermuda shorts he was wearing were covered in flour and the kitchen, he says, was a filthy mess. This is one of those situations that is a deal breaker for us. No hair net, chef’s hat or rubber gloves? Those are health code violations and we don’t eat there any more. We’re sad to say, from this point on, no more Waterworks. Here’s to hoping they clean up their act!

Damn good tavern style thin crust home made pizza! This place is just like an old Wisconsin bar– interior wise… good service and hospitality, the 2 buck PBRs don’t hurt either!

Just tried their pizza alot of the locals kept raving about. I’ve been past this place a million times over the years and never knew they served pizza till people kept telling me about it. Sooo, I decided to try it. It was pretty good. I liked it. Place is more of a bar than a restaurant. While I was sitting there eating I noticed a few people come in for pick up. I wasnt too crazy about the service I recieved from the bartender. Im guessing she pretty much ignored me because I was drinking pop instead of beer. Which might explain why I couldnt for the life of me get a refill on my pop because she was too busy yapping away, serving beer and on her smartphone. Thats ok. I just tipped her $ 1.I only do that when people PISSMEOFF. I dont hold it against the establishment. Sure, I’ll go back. But if she’s there again I’ll order a pitcher of pop so I can HELPMYSELF. And she’ll get ANOTHER $ 1.Thats ONHER.

This pizza is not so great. Barely above Little Caesars. The bar is dive and someone needs to tell this place there is na state wide smoking ban these days. The building is old so it has some ambiance if you are looking for that in a bar drinking experience.

BEST pizza in the area. Yes, it has a dive-bar quality to it, but as someone said earlier, after about the 3rd drink, you don’t notice too much. Cannot wait for the warmer months to check out the newly added/renovated Beer Garden.

Kiki is nice, they have a MyTunes jukebox and the pizza is ok. It’s NOT A SMOKEFREEBAR, so we left wreaking of smoke. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by the smoke stench and nasty bar smell. We won’t be going there again, but we did pick up some pizza to go on another occasion. The pizza wasn’t as good taken out as it was when we had it there. Eh oh well.

I’m originally from Wisconsin, so when I heard about this place and read the Unilocal reviews, I decided I absolutely had to bring my Dad here when he came to Illinois to visit me. He’s a down-home, no-frills kind of guy, and after we had done the whole city thing during the day, we came here for pizza and he said it was his favorite place of the day! The pizzas were great, we got two different thin-crusts, and they definitely lived up to the hype. I can’t wait til their beer garden is open for more seating options.

Waterworks is definitely a blue collar bar, though I’ve never sat and had a drink there I went in to get a copy of the menu. We’ve had Waterworks delivered numerous times and each time the pizza is really really good. The best in the Brookfield/Lyons area and better in my opinion than Ledo’s. The crust is very flavorful, and the cheese and sauce are really good. We’ve never had a bad pizza or sandwich from them. The menu is small but that just allows them to concentrate on what they do best.
