Tortas Guadalajara

I was a little skeptic about ordering from this place due to the bad reviews, but since they are old reviews I said «what the heck!» I ordered for delivery and it was surprisingly quick. I was expecting my food to arrive an hour after I ordered it but I got it in 30 minutes. That was pretty quick!
We ordered their Chile Rellenos, chorizo and pastor tacos, a huarache and a carnitas torta ahogada. The chile relleno was really good. The sauce was really tasty and was mixed with grilled onions. It had a good amount of cheese, which looked like queso fresco but I didn’t mind it at all. It was different but flavorful all together. The chorizo and pastor were really good and had a good amount of meat in each taco. The Tacos came with a red Chile and avocado sauce on the side to add to them. So good! The huarache was a good size and with good amount of asada on it. The torta ahogada was not disapointing. It also had a good amount of carnitas and it was drenched in the red salsa. It had flavor and it was mildly spicy.
I’m glad I gave this place a chance because they didn’t disappoint. I can only imagine how much better the food would taste if I ate at the location when the food was freshly cooked. I will definitely order from this place again.

I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately I will not be back. I ordered the torta ahogada, the sauce was thick more like a paste and with absolutely no flavor. There was supposed to be carnitas in there but there was hardly any. My daughter ordered tacos and the meat was cold and flavorless, even a bit chewy like it had been cooked previously and reheated. It’s was not cheap, I left feeling ripped off and hungry because I couldn’t even eat my lunch.

Holy Shi*! I loved this place the salsa was really good and so were the tortas and wet burritos. I guess they changed the cook. Salsa isn’t that good anymore and I was obsessed with it, the food is mediocre now. But the staff. Let me clarify the female staff the cook and lady at the register are really slow. I called in my order at 11:50. I live down the street I come here often. Didn’t get my order until an hr later. I literally sat in the restaurant alone for an hr. For this reason I will probably not come back. The male cook is usually quick and I never have to wait. This is just terrible and unfortunate because you will lose clientele that way

I always feel bad leaving bad reviews for restaurants that seem to be strugglin. But, they struggle because they don’t know how to be a restauran. This is one of those spots where main thing is not great or even good. Tried the tortas a wet one (7.99) and a regular one (6.99). Both steak. The wet one came with the meat and beans on a hard bolillo. The dipping sauce was way too hot (I can usually handle spicy food but this was too much) it was not good without the dipping sauce and too spicy with it. The regular torta is just average there are way too many places that do a better job for this place to be an option.

Great food and great service!!! Would definitely come back and it’s under new management.

My experience was terrible, first of all we got to this place and they’re were like 5 kids playing around and screaming I believe they were one of the employees kids, the lady that was sitting next to us and eating by the way was calling this kids to calm down, she came to us to get the order but she looked all dirty, her hair was all messy, her shirt was all dirty, really inappropriate to be taking orders, second we order our food and the food took about 35 mins to be ready even know we were the only table, food was so so, but it was really uncomfortable eating in that place, I will NEVER go back again.

Just had a torta de asada, it was ok. Besides the soggy bread it was good. Upon getting up from the seat and walking to the cashier to pay I saw they cook poking his nose. That’s just sick.

Carne asada Torta was magnificent and they have a wide variety. Plenty of fresh natural juices and other flavorful dishes. The service was spectacular. The waiter consistently checked up on us to make sure we had everthing we needed including a variety of salsa/​sauces. Definitely plan on coming back here again. Good food at decent prices.

Been here once never again

Now that I have had several meals at this establishment, I feel like I can fairly say, they kick ass! I was out shopping nearby a few months ago and smelled the food coming out the door so I went inside and ordered 4 chicken tacos to go, to grub on later on. I went home took a nap, woke up and THREE of my tacos were too much of a temptation for my bro & Mom! Anyway, when I tasted that taco, I KNEW that I would be ordering there again SOON! Everything is made to order! The cook is AMAZING. The tortas are top of the line and the tacos are juicy with fresh veggies. Very clean looking kitchen and very respectful staff. Weather you dine in /​take out or have food delivered, they go out of their way to do a great job. Everyone that I have sent there have agreed so I thought I should write a little something.
