The reason we come here is Damiani’s Pizza is available here. Originally from Dolton, IL and baked in the original pizza oven. We always have great service too

7÷5÷2014 Bob, I understand your comments and rating. Damiani’s pizza is very different. It’s quite mild in flavor so I can see why it might not be to your liking. I love White Castle hamburgers, having grown up eating them. When I introduced some transplanted neighbors to sliders, they just didn’t understand the appeal. Damian’s is a similar situation. I grew up eating Damiani’s pizza and I can’t wait to visit them when we get back to Chicago. Maybe you can give them another try and upgrade their rating here.

Wanted to try this place on a recommendation. Boy was I disappointed. The service here is lackluster to say the least. The menui ncludes pizza. That’s it. It’s a thin crust no flavor pizza. This is suppose to be from. Papa Damiani’s from Dolton. Never heard of it then, and now I understand why. You can get a better flavor pizza from Dominos. For the money I would go to Sanfratellos in glenwood before ever going back here To boot, they brought th e bill and it cannot be paid for with a credit card. Cash Only. No where did it state that in the place. Very unprofessional, very blah. Lucky to be here in six months.

I’ve stopped for a drink at this local spot but never food before. We had lunch and WOW! My burger was awesome!!! It had subtle mesquite seasoning and was cooked RARE — just like I asked. The fries were crispy and plentiful. The most expensive sandwich on the menu is $ 8.00. A shrimp dinner runs $ 11.00. Most of the appetizers are $ 4.00 but are(sigh) fried, fried, fried. There is a small(3 sizes) pizza selection but about a dozen toppings. They start at $ 8.00 for a small-12″ cheese and ingredients start at .50 to $ 1.50. I haven’t had the pizza yet but have heard good reviews. The bar is very clean and has been recently remodeled. The times I have been there it has been an older crowd and not obnoxiously loud like most places in the area. The nonsmoking because it is in Illinois makes a stop here all the more pleasurable. Food is served from 12pm to 10pm. Moe and Sharon have owned several bars in the area(Widow McCleary’s-Thornton, Pieatecs(sp)-Dolton). They have really done a great job with New Corner.
