Like everyone said, this place is cash only. I like mom/pop local diners, so I thought I would love this one. Not so much. The food was okay. The service was okay. When my plate was delivered to our table, there was a hair on it. Yuck. Probably wouldn’t dine here again.

This place is a wonderful little mom and pop diner for breakfast. The only accept cash but they are quiet and perfect for a Saturday morning breakfast. It looks out at the road through big glass front windows. The breakfast reminds me of family breakfast durning the holidays, warm and homemade. There is nothing I dislike about this place. It’s a far better alternative to Denny’s.

Delicious breakfast, cash only, quick service. A little dated, a little divey, but good food and big portions for the price.

They are EXACTLY What you think they’d be. Cheap, greasy, decent, not very clean, friendly staff, and place to eat

I wanna say best breakfast on the north end? Yes only takes cash but just know that and you will be amazed. My favorite is the country Benedict not on the menu but they will make it for you anytime you want. Always the same server good coffee good service.

Old fashioned service, old fashioned quality food, cool atmosphere, and nice people make this a great place. This place makes me miss Mr. Bill’s in Everett. The club sandwich and fries my go to. The breakfasts look great that I have seen go by me in the waitresses hand. It is cash only which is strange, but doesn’t affect me any. Also beware, they are closed Mondays. HOWEVER … when a restaurant, any restaurant closes at a certain time, that means that’s what time they quit seating ! This place closes at 2PM and I was denied lunch when I showed up at 1:48 and was told I couldn’t be seated because they close at 2. That’s not how it works in your industry folks. If you don’t want people there at 2, then you need to «close»(A.K.A. stop seating) at 1:30. Still a fan though. I’ll be back, just a little earlier LOL…

Looked this place up online, Said open till 2pm. We walked in at about 1:43, the waitress came out and said she was closed. I said«says 2pm on your door» and she said, «no it’s 1:45 that I close the grill» and had us leave. TERRIBLELIERS * also cash only business FYI * We will Never be back and will spread the word too.

Super friendly service and good breakfast. It’s no Saw Mill, but the chocolate chip pancakes and the french toast are yummy! The portions are large for a very good price. This place is great because TWOTHINGS– Annie, the waitress and Kathy, the cook. It’s the kind of place where you come in and you know ½ the people in the dining room and they know you. My dad and I go for breakfast once or twice a week, and Annie has our coffee coming before we even sit down. On a slow day she’ll chat with you. One slow day, Kathy came out and chatted with us. The TV is usually on ‘Lets Make A Deal” when we are there, there’s a paper to read, and playing cards on the window sill of every table. It’s the kind of place you only see on TV and it keeps us coming back.

Great food. Fun atmosphere! They love the Seahawks and Elvis! Reminds me of my daddy’s southern breakfasts!

This place used to be great. Now it’s OK at best. New cook? Anyway, they only take cash so if you go, bring green. It is well priced, that part hasn’t changed.

I’ve been meaning to write a review of this place for a while, and we went there today so it jogged my memory! This is our favorite greasy-spoon diner and it’s right up the hill from our house. They only take cash or local checks, so don’t come with only cards. The food is good — I usually get one of their scrambles. My husband likes the biscuit and gravy. But… the BEST part of any breakfast there is always the hashbrowns! Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft/buttery on the inside. I could eat a whole plate of those. Today it was slammed due to the power outages in the area. The owner/server was running herself ragged trying to get everything taken care of for everyone. She is always the only server there, which is usually fine but today she was in over her head I think. There were always at least 4 people waiting for seats, and still some older people(regulars?) felt perfectly OK lounging there and chatting after they finished eating. I find that rude when there are hungry people standing and waiting. Another older couple was seated at the counter, and they RAN over to a booth when a family left. I’m sorry, you were already seated… why not let the family of 4 waiting for a table have the booth? I was greatly annoyed by that but I am hyper-aware of people around me. We ate quickly and left so our table could be used by those waiting. It definitely greasy spoon… not the cleanest place I’ve ever been but the food is always tasty and the coffee is hot! Much better option than the chain restaurants(Denny’s, IHOP) a few blocks away!

This is more like a 3.5 star review(above average), rounded down ever so slightly because it’s cash-only. It’s a little place that’s been doing what it does for years and years. And I’ve been living just down the hill(maybe a mile away) for almost 9 of those years without visiting. See, they only take cash, which makes things a bit more difficult. I virtually never carry loose cash for anything other than something I need to go pay for soon, so I’d have to make a special trip to the ATM to come in here. Things finally worked out that I actually had a couple paper dollars in my pocket and some time at the breakfast hour, so here we are. They’re in an odd little spot at the eastern edge of the Lynnwood business district, where you’ve probably stopped looking for business signs. You can be forgiven for thinking on this stretch of road that things are about to switch over to the residential section of the neighborhood, because that’s just about to happen. But these guys have taken a building that looks a lot like a residential house and carved out a cool diner-like spot. There’s a bit of parking out front, and a small deck outside. Stairs lead up to the main door, and there are about a dozen tables inside. Two stools at the counter, where there’s a heavy old CRTTV angled back toward the room. The server is a non-nonsense gal who loves her sports, and she probably has the game on. This is the kind of place that has a hard copy of the newspaper on the counter for customers to share while they drink their coffee, and if it’s slow, she might take a quick peek at the sports news herself. She doesn’t miss a trick, though. My coffee and water never fell below 2⁄3 full. The menu covers all three meals, focusing entirely on dependable old favorites. The breakfast menu has a couple omelettes, bacon and eggs, pancakes, toast. I had the corned beef hash special, which came with the option of either toast or a pancake. That must be more common than I am remembering, but somehow this struck me as an incredibly cool choice to make. Especially for an $ 8 breakfast. The meal itself was out in maybe five minutes, and clearly was not made from scratch in any way, but that’s alright at these prices for sure. It was all cooked correctly and everything tasted pretty good. When it came to drop my hard-earned greenbacks, the total was under $ 10, for a huge serving of breakfast, a sports page, a hockey game on the tube, and 45 minutes worth of coffee. I’m not going to bring people here who are looking for wild mushroom frittatas, obviously. But I love having a place like this so readily available to me, and I need to remember it when I end up with cash in my pocket that I don’t plan to go deposit at the ATM.

I like the Elvis atmosphere here but food wise, it was just wayyy too greasy. Hash browns were definitely drowned in oil. Coffee was bland. Three stars for good service, clean place, and had the morning news on.

Just the basics … Done very well! Great staff! Reasonable prices. It can get a little stuffy and loud, but that hasn’t stopped me from going several times.

Good basic breakfast/lunch diner. Simple, easy menu. Neat mix of random coffee mugs rather than the boring, standard white. There was only one waitress and all seats were filled, so drink refills lacked, not her fault. Perhaps the one busser could be expanded to at least do coffee refills when not occupied with cleaning.

Basic diner; very pleasant inside due to large windows but drafty in the winter if you are beside the door. Booths and tables. We ordered two specials. Mike had the scramble w/hashbrowns and pancake; very good. I had eggs over easy w/bacon; very good eggs, good bacon. I was less impressed with biscuit and gravy. There was something sweet fighting with the savory. Tried it on a second visit and still not compatible with my taste buds. Mike liked it OK(but there is little he will not eat!). Pleasant, prompt service. A local, cozy diner. After our second visit, we decided that it’s enough out of the way for us to be moved to towards the bottom of the weekend breakfast list. Cash only.

Cash only!!! Nice little diner with a ‘50s feel with LPs suspended from the ceiling. I ordered a veggie omelette with ham(veggie omelette came with more veggies than the Western omelette). Waitress was nice enough; the omelette came with cheddar cheese in the middle and a slab of hash browns that took up half of the plate. The omelette was good, especially once Tabasco was added. Good alternative if you’re looking to get away from hotel breakfast.

I love this place. This is my hang-over cure or my lazy sunday morning hang out. When you walk into this place, you should know IMMEDIALTY what you’re walking into. Records hang from the ceiling, décor from various holidays still adorns the walls and pictures of locals and childrens art hangs from a wall. Yes, it’s a dive but it’s fabulous. The eggs are always PERFECTLY cooked and delicious. The hashbrowns are frickin’ incredible. Kind of buttery, kind of crispy, salted perfectly. I have never left any food on my plate here. My boyfriend always gets the chicken fried steak. He craves it when he’s not around. It’s always the same waitress. She’ll joke around with you and call you«honey.» Yes, they do only take cash but not a big deal. Everything is about $ 6 – 8. Again, walking into this little dive-y breakfast bar is a blast into the past but OMG it is delicous! Someone else said«Stick to your bones good ol’ home cooking» and I have to say I AGREE! PROS: Food, prices CONS: Décor :)
