We enjoyed some great food from Nomad at the Wheels on the Waterfront car show today and it was really good. Both my husband and I had the grilled BLT on sourdough and not only was it a hearty portion, but the garlic mayo was an excellent addition. Super shoestring fries and we tried the both chipotle sauce and spicy ketchup… yummmmmmmmm The guys were super busy, but they were really cordial and the service was quick. Hope to see their truck at another event so we can try something else on the menu.

Not impressed… Gave them a try a the Des Moines FM. My $ 10BLT consisted of three slices of bacon, two slices of tomato, some lettuce and mayo. Doubtful I will try then again.

This truck food was good, but nothing special. I got the croque Monsieur and my friend got The Trucker burger. The cheese on my sandwich was not melted all the way. His burger was unusually rare(they didn’t ask). We agreed that we would not spend money at this truck again even though it’s only a block from the office. It’s what you’d expect from a standard cafeteria or lobby café.

Enjoyable food truck all around. The sweet potato fries were so good!!! This truck also has great service that’s totally friendly. The man got a blue cheese burger, I took a bit and it was creamy beefy deliciousness. My croque Monsieur was ok, it could have been toasted a bit more in my opinion. We also got the chili fries which were very good and filing. If I see them again I’ll stop in for some nomming!

This awesome food truck comes to my work campus at least twice a month! I have always gotten the Chicken Cordon Bleu and it was FANTASTIC! Today didn’t’ disappoint. Tons of yummy grilled chicken with melted provolone & black forrest ham on a hot baggett… NOMNOMNOM! Fries were also outstanding! I love shoe string french fries and these were hot and crisp, just how I like them! Bill came to $ 12 which I think is great considering the amount of food you get! LOVEIT, LOVEITLOVEIT!!!

The burgers are decent but certainly not incredible. I would would agree with one of the other reviewers that said there is too Mich garlic in the burgers. It over powers the taste of the meet. The service is good and the staff is friendly. I would considering eating here again as I can walk to the truck from work but I wouldn’t consider this one of the best food carts Seattle has to offer.

«An Embarrassing Review, Part 1» Microsoft has been renovating their cafes. To feed the employee population, they have been offering food trucks the opportunity to park on campus while the cafés are under construction. NOMAD Curbside is one of the trucks that has taken Microsoft up on their offer. The thing that you first notice about the truck is that it is huge. The truck is painted in a graffiti style and is suited up with a 18 foot commercial kitchen inside. The name nomad makes me think of global and exotic flavors, so it seems a bit underwhelming that this is just a burgers and sandwiches type truck. It does not seem to do justice to the name nor the glorious kitchen they have in my opinion. The title of this review is not about the truck, but rather the unfortunate events that occurred while trying out this truck. On one of the days they had a stop on the Microsoft campus, I decided to give them a try and walked over to the building where the truck was parked outside which is about a half block away. As I mentioned, the menu consists of burgers and sandwiches. The one that drew my attention was the cordon bleu sandwich which I decided to order. Once the order was ready, I was handed the sandwich on a cardboard tray. Unfortunately, they didn’t wrap up the sandwich or put it in a bag for safe travel. This turned out to be a huge gaffe. As I walked back to the building, swiped my employee badge and opened the heavy door, I fumbled the sandwich which dropped to the floor. Apparently the building gods wanted it more and to the trash the sandwich went. I was pissed, but decided to give the truck a try again on another day. I ordered the cordon bleu again, but this time took no chances. Again, I was served the sandwich on a cardboard tray but decided to eat it in the building that the truck fronted instead. The name cordon bleu is a bit misleading. The chicken is not fried with a cheese sauce and ham inside. Instead, the chicken breast is grilled with a cheesy sauce and ham on top served on a baguette. The sandwich itself was nice. It is a bit on the oily side, but I can see why other truck patrons ordered this as well. It is a sandwich that is unique from what other food trucks offer. NOMAD Curbside is very much the textbook definition of an a-ok food truck. I do think they should think about bagging their sandwiches when they are on campus. Microsoft is a big place. While they may draw customers from nearby buildings, there will be some folks who travel from farther away for their grub. A cardboard plate simply won’t do, especially if there is inclement weather.

It’s okay stuff. Got the standard nomad trucker burger. Beef was cooked to medium and the condiments were all fresh. Even with a lot of customers the service was quick and well organized. Not sure I’ll go back for another bland $ 8 burger, but it’s an okay option in a pinch.

Waaayyyy to much garlic in the burger. First bite was impressive. I ate 3 hours ago and the garlic taste is getting worse. Dial back the garlic and the food is great!

A disappointing lunch. I’ve been to quite a few food trucks since they started springing up around Seattle and my experiences have ranged from«eh, pretty good» to «holy shit this is the best thing ever». Nomad is the first truck I’ve been to that I would not try again. I’ll admit, I might have made a mistake by ordering a pulled pork sandwich($ 8) at what is primarily a burger truck, but that’s hardly my fault given that it’s on the menu. The pork tasted ok, nothing special there, a little dry. This was not helped by the sauce, which was overly sweet and had zero character. The«slaw» consisted of what appeared to be bagged coleslaw from the grocery store without any dressing. None. Why it was even on there, I don’t know. The bun was a torta roll, I guess. I could pick it up without it falling apart, but it was cold and dry. I mean, really? You couldn’t butter it and throw it on the grill for a few seconds? Normally I’d wait and try the burger before writing a review but I’m not going to spend my money there again, so I’ll just throw in an extra star.

One of the 3 burger trucks roaming the MS campus due to the café renovations. I think this is the best one. I’ve had the«Trucker» a few times and it is a great, flavorful juicy burger. The meat is cooked to perfection and is tender and juicy. They serve the perfect amount of lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and sauce and the bun’s perfect too. I hope they stick around after the cafes are done, as they are the only ones with a decent burger around campus.

Wow — best BLT I’ve ever had. I asked for the bacon extra crisp and it was pretty much perfect. The garlic mayo was an awesome compliment to the thick bacon. Had fries too — with the horseradish sauce per the proprieters suggestion(was going to get garlic but he suggested not when I asked for help deciding due to the garlic on the sandwich). Perfect little fries — hot and crisp outside but soft inside — perfectly lightly sea salted. Thanks for bringing great choices to the people!

Don’t get me wrong– it’s just… I had high hopes. Nothing I wanted(the much-lauded mac and cheese that I made a special trip for) was on the menu, so I ordered a burger and fries and quite frankly, Red Mill does a better job. Two tiny pieces of bacon on a burger does NOT a ‘bacon burger’ make, and soggy, cold fries are no one’s friend.

Another Food Truck that is braving the Industrial area known as Riverton. Nomad Curbside delivers interesting food choices in a flashy truck. I had the apple and sage Croque Monsieur. Tart Apple, cheese and Ham makes for a really good combination. You wouldn’t think Apple and cheese would work but it does work very well. Cost was 7 – 8 $ for most items. Add 2 $ Fries and it does come out at 10.00 $ People expecting these food trucks to cost 5 $ need to come to the realization that for these kind of food trucks you are paying for convenience and different choices

Let me start by saying«Welcome to the neighborhood(Tukwila)». W e are so happy that a truck in stopping in our restaurant deprived area. Especially for those of use who use public transportation to get here and have few choices. So I may be prejudice when I say I am a fan of this truck. I took a chance on the grilled cheese sandwich with apple slices and garlic mayo. I enjoyed it! It was good.

Went today during lunch out and got the Black and Bleu burger with a side of fries+garlic sauce. I thought it was pretty tasty. The burger had crisp vegetables and was fairly juicy(although it did slide a little when I ate it, which some people might not like I guess). Fries were crispy, although I do like my fries extra crispy. The smaller fries weren’t soft in the center, but the larger ones were. So not bad. Garlic sauce was pretty tasty. Mayo+garlic+crispy fries = yay.

The office decided to journey out to where the food trucks hide, and we, like the previous reviewer, had a choice to make. I didn’t feel like Thai and I’d had Mexican the night before. Burgers it was(and NOMAD was right there). First, the good. The service: Wonderful. The man that took our orders was really funny, sweet, and attentive. They took cards too, so even better because I haven’t learned my Carry-Cash lesson just yet. Now, for the bad… The food: I wanted to like it. I had the Trucker burger with a side of fries. Let me preface what I’m about to say with: I like greasy foods. Grease doesn’t usually bother me all that much. But the burger here was so incredibly greasy that it made the bun(which otherwise would have been delicious) a soppy sponge of the stuff. Even the bacon on the burger was limp and soggy. The fries were worse. They were over-fried to a greasy crisp. No potatoes survived the ordeal. If this had been a $ 5 meal, I wouldn’t have been so disappointed. But as a $ 10 meal, I was hoping for a little more. Or at least for everything to taste of something other than, well, grease.

I had the choice of 5 food trucks in the SLU area today. I chose NOMAD curbside today and boy was I sorry! I had the Nomad Steak Sandwich: cold bun, warm steak and raw onions! I have never written a Unilocal review before but since I took 1 bite, gagged and tossed the whole sandwich, hopefully others will steer clear!
