I don’t even remember what I ordered… Which means I didn’t love it. It also means I didn’t hate it. Which means this place is perfectly adequate if you need to eat food and you’re in the area. I wouldn’t make a special trip. The price is fine, especially for lunch. They bring one complimentary serving of chips and salsa, which is great as long as you’re not eating with my brothers… The server wasn’t particularly warm; actually I felt like I was inconveniencing her. But that’s not really what I care about when I’m at a restaurant. Be rude all you want, I still fall in love when you bring my food to me.

When they say tortilla soup they mean tortilla soup. You get a bowl of very tasty broth filled with tortillas, about a tablespoon of chicken and a tablespoon of avocado. It was not what I was expecting but hit the spot anyway on a cold rainy night. And it was only 6 bucks so I can’t complain too much. I would go back but probably not for the broth and tortillas I had. The lunch specials look good and cheap. Slightly recommended but don’t expect a chicken and avocado soup with a sprinkling of tortillas like most places.

wish I could’ve rated the food. Showed up tonight(SATURDAY) 45 minutes before close(website says 8:30) we were there at 7:45. Hours on the door says 8. Family of 4: mom, dad, toddler, baby… we were HUNGRY. We were completely turned away right through the window. Large party was inside still eating along with of table two. Door was completely locked. Server didn’t even have the courtesy to come talk to us at the door… just mouthed the words«closed.» To me, when a business is inconsistent with closing times and a hungry young family is standing there at the window babe in arms and holding a toddlers hand you give the business an automatic 1 star on Unilocal.Just bad business etiquette. Especially on a weekend. Very disappointing.

Just a nice lunch at a reasonable price. Very clean. Great service. A little difficult to find, but worth the search.

The end of summer is three days away… and it already feels like winter here in Lynnwood. Luckily, I live near Casa Corona so on these overcast, chilly days I get to enjoy their Tortilla Soup, something I’m almost addicted to!

I want to like this place more, I do… because it’s the closest Mexican place to my house. But alas, it was only okay. Had an assorted set of tacos. It’s good, just not great. A-ok. I would go back in a pinch.

I am new to the area and was craving some simple tacos. This restaurant was nearby so I went for some take-out. The restaurant is clean and bright, the ladies behind the counter were very friendly and the service was very quick. I had two pork taco and a shrimp taco. Both the shrimp and pork tacos had fresh ingredients but the meats were rather bland. Adding generous amounts of lime juice and verde salsa brought life into the food. The salsa was very light and fresh tasting. I will eat here again. It is close to my new home, the staff was sweet and the food was fine. But, I will continue to hunt for a carnita taco that shines.

The first time I came I had a burrito, but I didn’t fall in love with it. I do like coming for their lunch specials though. The Americana taco’s with shredded chicken is my favorite. The salsa they serve with the chips is really good too. I am glad I gave it a try for lunch because I liked it much better, that is why I am raising the star rating. I will try some other things here next and probably just not order a burrito. The service has been great and friendly!

On a friend’s recommendation(and in light of 4 ½ stars here on Unilocal) we went to Casa Corona for dinner tonight. We were surprised at how empty it was(one other guest) but decided to give it a try anyways. The hostess was friendly and let us choose a table, but did not offer a highchair for our daughter(in a car seat). We were able to securely wedge the seat between the table and one of the chairs at our table, so no real problem there. The hostess/waitress took our drink order quickly and brought chips and salsa. The chips were tasty but cold. The salsa was quite good, especially with a bit of the salsa roja mixed in to add a bit of spice. The salsa verde was quite bland to my taste, but my wife enjoyed it. We ordered both of the waitress’ suggestions — Chilaquiles con Carne and their signature burrito(the name escapes me, but it’s the first one listed). The food took only ten minutes to prepare, and the waitress promptly refilled my drink when it was about half full. When the food arrived, we quickly discovered that my wife’s burrito was cold through and through. We asked if it was supposed to be cold, and the waitress(very politely) explained that since half the ingredients(lettuce, tomato, sour cream) were cold that it would cool the other ingredients. While this is true, the chicken itself wasn’t even warm. We asked her to microwave it for us, and it was ok after that, but definitely nothing I’d order again. The beef in my chilaquiles was lukewarm, as were the beans and rice. The fried tortillas under the beef were still warm, but already soft from soaking in the red sauce. I’m not sure if they have dessert available, but our check was brought without mention of any. We were quite disappointed in the food, but the service was really good. The quality of the ingredients themselves were above average, but we just couldn’t get over the cold temperature.

Talk about an unexpected surprise. We weren’t really expecting too much, given the bare bones interior, but I was immediately captivated when I saw they had the draft taps for their soda(in my opinion, this is the way the soda tastes the best). We decided to give this place a whirl. The staff was so very nice, always smiling and so very accommodating. I was feeling adventurous, so I ordered the Corona Burrito with lengua. When they brought out my burrito(rather quickly, I might add), it was huge — as big as my head. I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it all, but I was sure excited to try something new. The burrito was loaded with good stuff — rice, beans, guac, sour cream, cabbage, tomatoes and lengua. The lengua was tender and oh so flavorful, and the marriage of all the flavors together was simply inspired. As anticipated, I was only able to eat a third of it, but it was wonderful. Oh yes, and I can’t forget the soda. Best diet Pepsi I’ve ever consumed in my life. The bubbles were perfect, and the flavor was amazing!!! My son ordered horchata(whenever we go to a Mexican restaurant, he requests it), and was so very happy because they give free refills. He also ordered the kids meal with a pork taco. He said everything was perfect — to quote, «Mom, can you please give this place 6 stars, because I love this food.‘ The only negative thing I can say is that I wasn’t pleased with the chips and salsa. The chips were greasy and not super flavorful. But, that totally didn’t detract from the whole experience — which was so good that it deserves five stars. All in all a very positive, tasty experience from a tiny, hole in the wall little eatery.

Very good I love the shrimp burrito. If you don’t like this place you have no clue what real authentic Mexican food is! The tacos are great with a cold corona and lime. They serve agua de horchata which is a huge plus for me. Love love love this place.

OK I try to be fair so I gave this place another chance to see if the blandness was confined to the chile verde. I had mixed results. The Chile Colorado was even blander than the chile verde. The corn tortillas tasted store bought and the guacamole was subpar. They have kicked up the spiciness on the salsa which now makes the chips and salsa very good. The beans and rice were pretty flavorless. Some Mexican people were actually eating there which surprised me. The stellar performer though was the fish taco. Fish tacos are never spicy but this had a rich, savory, complex flavor that was quite enjoyable and far better than average. So if you like Americanized Mexican food you will probably love this place. But even if you like the real thing the chips and salsa and fish tacos are quite satisfactory.

I really enjoyed going here for Mexican food. I was greeted with a bowl of chips and salsa. Looking at the menu, I was drawn to their tacos. These tacos are the authentic size, which means they can be eaten in 2 – 3 bites. I would recommend ordering 4 tacos because the price of 4 tacos is less then 3 tacos. There’s a lot of different choices for meat. I like the Lengua because it’s so tender. I think not thinking about what part of the cow makes it more tasty. The tortilla soup was very enjoyable. It has a very clean flavor, it’s nothing like what you would get at Red Robins, where it’s really thick and cheesy. Something I really enjoyed getting there was the horchata. It’s like a rice milk with cinnamon in it. They offer free refills which is nice, after not being able to finish the refill, they were nice enough to give me a cup to get the horchata to go. The only down side was the decore, but then again with the prices, I guess you can’t really complain about it. The other only other legitimate down side was getting tamales. They have them there, but you need to order them 24 hours in advance. When I’m craving mexican food, I don’t normally plan out that I’m going to be going there.

I LOVE this place! The interior décor may dissuade some from trying it(not much atmosphere), and it’s usually pretty empty. But holy cow this is the best, most authentic Mexican food you can find! Not only are their tacos to die for, but the Mexican hot chocolate is awesome. Plus they import their Coca-Cola from Mexico, yum! The prices are great, the staff is friendly, this is one hole-in-the-wall you’ll be glad you tried.

I love this little place. The salsa is good, they also have their homemade squirt bottle sauces, one verde — one rojo. The service is fast and friendly. The food is amazing. The bill is cheap. What more can I say???

I’ve tried a couple of their burritos and was unimpressed. Can get better burritos at Azteca, and Azteca ain’t that good. Now the tamales, the tamales are da bomb! You can pre-order a bunch of tamales pick em up eat a few, and throw some in the freezer for later!
