Visiting from SoCal, we turned to Unilocal to find a pizza place one night when we needed a break from dining out. The reviews are deserved. This is a great local, no frills pizza house. The people were friendly and helpful, on the phone and in person.
The best part was the crust.
Yes, the cheese was great, but most pizza places are failures due to lousy crust.
Astoria’s curst is flavorful but doesn’t overpower the toppings. It is NYC style, if you have to choose between NYC and Chicago, but that title isn’t fair.
Astoria makes an original pizza with great crust, great toppings and great service. I’d eat here often if I was local.

If I would have just gone for the pizza I could have given them 5 stars. We ordered the Spiro Special. The combination of pepperoni, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, shrimp, olives and cheese was on point. I was running a marathon the next day and didn’t want to eat too much. This pizza had me eat a couple more slices than I had planned. We also got an order of lasagna. It wasn’t too bad but thought it could have been better. For me this place is all about the pizza. I could easily become a regular.

I wish there were more than five stars to give! I can’t say enough good things about Astoria. Between the delicious food, fantastic service, great prices and laid back environment, it made for an awesome night! My wife and I are new to the area and checked out Unilocal which led us to this gem! Stephanie and Alex welcomed us warmly to the neighborhood which was just another cherry on top to add to this experience. It’s a place that makes you feel right at home! We can’t stop telling and recommending Astoria. Can’t wait for our next visit!

We tried Astoria for the first time tonight and both thought it was good. It’s nothing extraordinary but it was better than every chain pizza around. The crust was a tad bit too oily, that’d be my only complaint. If you’re hankering for some good pizza, give this place a try.

Our fav pizza place without fail! SO good, hefty amounts of toppings and cheese. The pizza is quite literally heavy: P We usually just get take-​out because unfortunately they don’t deliver but I suppose that’s a good thing otherwise we would be eating pizza way more than we should be.

My family and I happened upon Astoria Pizza & Pasta tonight. This has got to be the best local discovery we have made in longer than I can remember. The prime rib dip is hands down the best sandwich… EVER!!! The Fettuccine Alfredo is also amazing and the portion size will have you begging for mercy. From the freshness of the salad and dressing to the staff and owner. It was the best dinning experience, and we cant wait to try the rest of the menu.

When Trip Advisor and Unilocal stars align, it’s probably a pretty accurate assessment. :)
We were in the area for the afternoon and needed lunch… The parking lot looked pretty empty so were a bit hesitant but glad we stopped in. Friendly staff, fresh flavorful food, generous portions at fair prices — would recommend Astoria Pizza if you’re in the area.

Pizza was not good. It tastes like its from dominos and not an Italian restaurant. The onions were very thick and not cooked enough because there was such a thick layer of cheese. We ordered a medium pizza with three toppings for $ 18. When we walked in they had a sign on the door for 13.95 for a large with two toppings. Really didn’t appreciate not being told about the special.

We come here so often and get there salad and cheesy bread to start along with a pitcher of beer. Then we order there large pizza special and change what we get on it every time and there has not yet been a bad combination there pizza is the greatest.

Hands down, BEST pizza ever! Service was fantastic, and they even made special arrangements for our large group. Would eat here again in a heartbeat!
Try the House Special, and the Shrimp with Mushroom: neat flavors, and great textures. Pizzas were brought out very quickly after ordering which was a plus!

Bummer, busy Friday night. Get there, get a seat. Three other tables are set down after us. We knew exactly what we wanted. After all three other tables had there orders taken and she again goes back to the kitchen, we give up and leave.
Food is great, too bad we didn’t get any. Service sucked.
