Amani’s Salon: Sew In and Weave Extensions

Amani is super talented! I went to her for a full head weave. It was easy to set up an appointment. Amani is kind and highly professional. She is effecient and respects her customer’s time. This was the fastest and most pleasant appointment. My hair looks fabulous and I have got many compliments. In addition, Amani was so gentle in handling my hair that I did not have any redness around hairline nor did I have any headaches as a result. She is a gem and I wish her all the blessings.

Amani has done my hair a couple times now and I have always been pleasantly surprised. She’s waiting for you when you arrive, gets straight to work and gets it done. Sew ins down, next style… braids. Don’t hesitate, you’ll be happy.

Having moved to the Seattle area, trying to find someone to trust with my hair was a big priority. I, like many others, have been getting my hair done since I was a wee lass, alternating between braids, perms, and presses, but have been fully natural since 2006, chemically relapsing in 2011 (ariana grande red hair color), and coming back around in 2012.
I’ve been in a protective style since June (senegalese twists, done in Jamaica, and a sew-​in done in late september). My sew-​in experience previously was a nightmare, and started unraveling a short time after the install. Amani braided and sewed my hair in more securely, with much better workmanship than before. The process was relatively quick, I was in and out in no time with high quality work. This is a one-​person, appointment-​only operation, so if you’re used to the common braid shop atmosphere (tons of stylists, crazy banter, hour long breaks, double or triple booked clients), this is THANKFULLY not it.
As it was my first time using a lace closure, Amani gave me excellent advice on how to make the part more natural. I’d happily recommend her to any person. Her prices are also very very reasonable, given the scarcity of quality competition, experience, and results.
If you’ve been burned before, try Amani, she’s a gem.

This stylist is all that and more. She is very professional and caters to your every need. I can’t say enough about her. One thing I can’t stand is when someone that is a business that does not respond to text. Amani responds immediately and you not sitting there waiting for a answer. She also has the hair at her salon which is very convenient. And she is the fastest stylist I ever met in my life and don’t think because she is fast it’s low quality her sew ins are the highest standard I have ever saw. So if your looking for a stylist for a sew in plz plz go to her. I promise you will not be disappointed!

I just moved to the Seattle area and needed to find someone to do a full sew-​in weave. I’ve alternated between weaves, twists and natural styles for several years and have had stylists from Houston to LA work on my hair so I’m EXTREMELY picky.
I looked at several different Seattle-​area salon websites for months but couldn’t find exactly what I wanted in a stylist. Amani only had one Unilocal review but it was glowing so I decided to take a chance. I emailed her pictures of my hair and styles I’ve worn, crossed my fingers and made an appointment.
It was best braiding I’ve ever had and the fasted weave I’ve ever gotten. I was in and out in 2 hours! Now, 3 weeks later, I still love the work she did and would put her up against stylists anywhere. She’s great!

This was the first time getting my hair braided. I needed a break to allow my hair to grow. Amani is a true professional, skilled at doing hair, and halfway through my appointment, we were already selecting styles for the next time.
My hair is gorgeous. I get compliments (and flirting) daily. She did a fantastic job. It’s not tight, my head didn’t hurt, and it’s beyond what I had hoped for — oh and the price is affordable.
Amani’s shop is clean, comfortable and private. Our appointment lasted 6 hours, but the time flew by, because we had great conversation and I was completely relaxed.
I’m looking forward to my next appointment.
