Basic fried chicken should not be spicy… unless of course, they say it’s spicy on the menu. As a person who can’t eat spicy food this was a huge disappointment. There is NO mention on the menu that the chicken is spicy and it is. I was expecting instant mashed potatoes, but they didn’t taste freshly made, The slaw was crispy but lacked flavor. Still looking for a good fried chicken dinner on the North Shore.

This is «I’m drunk, broke and don’t feel like going far to grab something to eat» kind of food. It’s hot, greasy and pretty good. Usually, it’s cooked fresh. I either get a burger combo meal or chicken tenders/​popcorn chicken combo meal. Their portion sizes are pretty generous and their prices are fairly cheap. Staff is pretty good but they don’t usually speak English outside of taking your order.

Best fried chicken in town. Haven’t tried anything else and I don’t need to because it’s all about the chicken. There is always a line of people and the food is constantly being replenished.
One day I was in line and a woman came in requesting a food donation for a church. The owner was so gracious and kind and giving. Great guy with a big smile and a positive attitude. Not a church goer myself but I respect his generosity and kind spirit. Customer for life!
Bring cash because no cards are accepted. There is an atm on site but it charges huge fees.

Stick with the chicken tenders or bone in fried chicken. Those seem to be «real’ chicken that shreds, as opposed to processed nuggets. I was disappointed when I tried the popcorn chicken because they weren’t real. very processed.
a lady came in and tried to pay with card. When they told her they only took cash, she turned to leave. the owner said «take the food, and you bring me money next time.» holy crap, what a nice and trusting guy!

In the mood for fried chicken? Don’t have a car to drive to KFC? or maybe KFC is just not greasy enough? Or maybe you can’t afford their high prices? Then Kennedys fried chicken is for you.
What can I say, I was feeling adventurous. Food was really cheap, actually tasted pretty good, and didn’t make me sick. More than I expected.
