Green Tea Chinese Restaurant & Bar

Love this place I have been come here for about two years already and they have never been disappointed I loved the pepper fried lobster I love the fry. Calamari and mussels

(FYI it only got a rating because I had to) So yesterday was my second & LAST time going to Green Tea. The first time I loved it! The food was great and service ehhh not so much! Big foodie from Houston, so I am in search of ALL the great eats in Boston and surrounding areas. Anything good besides the pizza shops and your typical east coast sub and wings.
Of course I ordered the twin lobster, can’t beat that price! So I ordered the ginger scallion lobster, shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer and then split a shrimp fried rice. Well the food was great, I was literally stuffing myself lol. As I finally gave into my body telling me to stop eating, I did. Literally 2 minutes after eating my whole body broke into a sweat, I became light headed and disoriented. So I got up and tried to make it to the bathroom and I immediately blacked out! Braced myself on the floor and as soon as my vision was restored I Went straight to the bathroom and christened their floor. I instantly got FOOD POISONING! I WILL NEVER RETURN!

Great customer service up front. But everything else fails from there.
This restaurant has mice running inside the building, I saw them with my own eyes and I reported it, with no response. The phone is chewy, it tastes like it’s been in the freezer for a month prior to me eating it.
This is nothing more than a fast food joint, served to you on a silver platter.
It’s nothing special and just as bad.
Maybe if they become more sanitary I will eat there.

Also service sucks the waiters/​waitresses are so slow… My friends and I came in and didn’t take our order until we’ve called for someone 15 mins later??? We were ready to order in like 5 mins already in and menus closed as well as the waiters and waitresses walking around.
This is not the «best» in town, just saying.
I’d recommend they do a complete inspection we noticed a few roaches crawling around the restaurant. GROSS!!! Last time coming here!!!

Fried twin lobsters are to die for also if your a seafood maniac like me try there peppery fried shrimps, chicken fried rice and ragoons!!! All good

Oh man. I came here with a couple of friends on a Friday night because we wanted some scorpion bowls and they were open till 1 a.m. There were some people fighting outside and some girl even said «BYE FELICIA» before storming back inside and flipping her friends off through the window. So we were a little hesitant to go inside, but thankfully we did because it ended up being worth it.
We got a table because the bar area was full. There was actually a wait for the bar, so we got a table and got seated right away. The scorpion bowl for one was actually a scorpion cup. But for $ 6 it tasted good and was loaded with alcohol, so I can forgive them for that.
The food wasn’t expensive, and the portions were huge. I got some chicken/​mixed vegetable dinner with a side of lo-​mein and I could have shared with two or three other people. Veggies were fresh and whatever garlic sauce they were tossed in was delicious. Surprisingly good.
Our waiter was great as well. I’ve literally never gotten good service at a Chinese restaurant. But he was nice, attentive, and friendly for such a busy place loaded with crazy customers.(we were no exception.)
The only thing I will say is that they might have a one drink limit. My friend was asking questions about other mixed drinks while drinking his scorpion cup, and the waiter was kind of insisting that he was too drunk to order another drink (he wasn’t). He wasn’t rude about it or anything, he seemed to care more about which one of us was driving, and it actually was a good call because if you have to drive home, one scorpion is enough.

I have been here a handful of times and never have had an issue. every thingi have ordered had always been very good. excellent price per portion ratio as I left full and didn’t break the bank.

Decent Chinese food. Very affordable. Better option than most places in Lynn. My usual consists of hot and sour soup, pork chops, and baby clams or scallops with black beans sauce. The dinner plates are good too. Big portions and an option of soup or salad to start. Drinks are also inexpensive. I usually get 2 Mai tai’s for just $ 12. Maybe that’s the reason why the bar is always packed? I haven’t had an issue with parking, although it does get packed. Their wait service is like your typical Asian restaurant, non attentive.

came here one night for some Chinese food to see what all the talk was about. I heard that they have very good Chinese food, ordered to go, got home and the food was extremely salty my blood pressure went through the roof and I am only 20 years old I had to go to the ER because the food so gave me a panic attack from the salt. stay away

The only reason I ddnt give them 5 stars is because they ddnt have free refills on soft drinks. & the drinks were really small. Even the stinky bathroom ddnt effect the rest of my experience. And the bathroom smelled horrible the whole time I was there. The smelled leaked into the lobby. But the food was cheap and amazing! I went there for my bday.

Love this place best fried lobster in town. Food is amazing and they listen to how you want your order. chicken wings well done is great. If you want good food at a great price this is the place.

Known for their lobster this place had us driving to Lynn from Bridgewater. Def a jewel and great in many ways. This is the kinda place that the bad server service doesn’t matter because the food makes up for it. Strong drinks served by ‘Tommy’ at the bar were a hit after just one (Mahi Thai). I had a fried ice cream that was a different style than I’ve have before but scrumptious. Owner never left the front counter saying hello at the entrance and goodbye on the way out.

Out of all thenChinese food choices around this area, this place is gross. By comparison, the food is awful. The chicken fingers were veiny and chewy, in a bad way. The chicken fried rice was FULL of onions and the «chicken» in the fried rice was rubbery. The service was bad we felt rushed when we just sat down and when we asked for a moment the waiter stood in the corner and took forever to come back like «heaven forbid I wanted to review the menu first», didn’t refill water or clear plates. The keno/​bar side seemed full and the gentleman at the front desk/​host area was very nice upon us leaving.

I like keno & it has a full bar. Good place to have dinner with friends and family.
Lobster is excellent w/​ginger and scallions.
The service is ok their very mindful. Good prices and the food is excellent Chinese food always satisfying! :)

Delicious food. We come here every Saturday night barside. They have great sizzling steak and the keno is fun!

I ordered rice noodles (the skinny ones), I even asked if they had it, which I was answered with a «Yes we do, the thin one»
My order was rice noodles with beef and fried rice with shrimp.
After 1 hour and 6 min, I received my order which was Regular Noodles (which I don’t like and didn’t ordered), and a large white rice came with it, which I was charged for it and didn’t ordered…
The food is also not cheap at all, so I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you are willing to pay a lot and don’t mind getting something wrong or extra in your order after a long wait.

The food here is not very authentic or good. My brother and I ordered the General Gau’s chicken & Tangerine Beef. Pretty sure they used the same sauce to make both dishes. Neither of us could tell the dishes apart. My dad’s cooking is a bajillion times better than this place. Maybe my palate is spoiled, but honestly, the food is just subpar.
Definitely won’t be back.

So I totally forgot about the whole C-​rating thing and let somebody order a pad thai and ‘crab’ rangoon for me from this joint.
Pad thai: asked them to substitute the shrimp for chicken. They also removed the peanuts and everything else, serving me just noodles and thin strips of chicken. There wasn’t even egg or tofu. GIRL SHE IS DOING THE MOST. SHE IS DOING. THE MOST. Did they assume I was allergic to shellfish so I must be allergic to peanuts and FLAVOR?
Crab rangoon was awful.
