Appetizzio’s it a small neighborhood Italian shop. I always had in back of my mind to come here but there was never any parking in front so I just kelp on driving by. But today I decided to come anyway and I parked the car a block and a half away and I’m glad I did. The store is part of the next door to an Italian Restaurant and is small and has less products than I imagined from Unilocal photos, But of what they do have they are mostly all imported Italian items from pasta, sauces, Amaretti cookies, Sicillia hard candies, Panettone cakes, and high quality cold cuts. The staff super friendly and would make to order hot and cold sandwiches and small pasta plates. I would come back again anytime I want one of the hard to fine Italian items they do carry. Only reason they don’t get 4 stars is taht they don’t have enough items in the store and lack of parking.

Great food, fresh ravioli are great, large sandwiches on great bread. We also have tried fresh grated cheese, very nice. Nice and clean good service will definitely go back. Looking at the catering for a party prices look good.

I have no idea how this place has a 5 star rating. My husband ordered chicken Parmesan sandwich & eggplant sandwich for me. It was SOBAD. We probably took only 2 bites out of our sandwich and threw it out. It was soggy, flavorless, and not fresh at all. By far, the worst deli I have ever been to. After reading these«rave» reviews, we were so excited to find a local deli and were just disappointed. Like most of the food in this area, it’s a let down!

Above all… very friendly guys working behind the counter. Thank you for being so nice in a world that lacks customer service! Tried the 4… mozz and tomato sandwhich. Wish the bread wasnt as hard and it would have been 5 stars!

Small, casual joint with super friendly service and high quality food. Honestly this is what a neighborhood Italian deli is all about. Just about everything is made in front of you just you like it. I just wish it was a tad cheaper BUT I will still go back as often as I can.

I absolutely love this place! I don’t go often but when I do the two very friendly guys who work there know my order. I guess because it is only chicken cutlet, American cheese and mayo. My favorite :)! I definitely recommend going there. It’s always good, never disappointed! :)

Always the Best Service and the Highest Quality food. The bread is awesome for the sandwiches. The imported cold cuts are excellent. Love the Specialty Sandwich board. You can go in and get their home made Gravy(sauce) and pasta products to bring home and make your own meals. They do an excellent job with the catering menu as well. A must go to place.

This place simply offers the best sandwiches and service around. I won’t go anywhere else! Definitely the best in town. You really can’t go wrong with anything you get here. And the fresh mozz is delicious!!!

Amazing little hole in the wall deli! The owner, Frank, has a great personality and treats his customers like family. I have been here multiple times and have made this my new go-to spot when i need a quick bite to eat. Their portions are huge, and the quality of the food is amazing! Key note* if you want to buy mozzarella, call ahead and let Frank know how much you need. He usually makes it to order so it is as fresh as possible! I will continue to be a faithful customer to this establishment.

Huuuuge portions. Friendly staff and awesome subs/sandwiches. For those who love pasta, they have platter options as well and cook the pasta fresh, versus having it laying out on a hot plate. Not a lot(if any seating) indoors — just a couple of chairs outside the entrance on a busy street. Best to take out. I would definitely come back again!

They greet you when you walk in the door and no rush as I took my time to look at the menu. The mozzarella really is that delicious on my #1 Prosciutto and Mozz with a lovely vinaigrette. A foot long and I ate it in one sitting outside under the umbrella on one of the prettiest days in September. Simple and delicious. They even added a soft Amaretti cookie to my bag.

First off, great customer service. Without that, even places with good food fail to me. The food is awesome, we got an Italian and a chicken cutlet sub and both scored high points. The meat is thinly sliced yet plenty of it and it tastes so fresh and delicious. The mozz on the cutlet sandwhich was so great too. The place all together was neat and organized and plenty of Italian products to chose from to take home. Definitely coming back for lunch next week!

Came here for a sandwich and got an Italian half sub. The owner, Frank, made them himself and had great customer service the minute I walked in, friendly and treats you like family. The sandwich was amazing and definitely top 3, if not #1, on my Italian subs list. Big size for a half sub and very generous with the deli meat and cut soooooooo thin that the packed meat was great in texture to the bite as well as tasting super fresh. It was a refreshing sandwich that also hit the spot right on target. Just enough oil and vinegar without making the bread soggy and a nice bite to the Italian bread. I will definitely be returning here to try another sandwich and possibly more, and would recommend this little gem of an Italian deli in lyndhurst to anyone who is big on Italian food. Great job from this place, hope more food businesses follow this type of quality and service. 10⁄10!

Best Italian deli in the area. Outstanding subs made with quality ingredients. Good and friendly service. I dont have to drive out to Jersey City or Hoboken anymore for a good sandwich.

They live up to there 5 star reviews. The mozzarella was the best I ever had, It was very lite and easy to eat an entire pound(I didn’t but I could have). The olives were excellent, the sausage bread was on point. I would say that just the first couple steps in here the staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. I went in there with no idea what to get than 15 minutes later I spent $ 80.I recommend this place 110% it’s worth every penny.

This is the real deal! On par with Vito’s and Fiore’s of Hoboken… which is saying a lot. The fresh mozz is everything you’d want it to be. That Italian tuna is great, as well as all of the other things you’d want in an Italian deli. Great bread too! Definitely our favorite local spot.

The store is smaller than some of the Unilocal reviews suggest, but expect great sandwiches with terrific deli meats and cheeses cut to order. The bread needs its own sentence. The sandwiches are taken to another level with the great, crusty Italian bread. Homemade pastas, meatballs and other specialty items are available for take home. The store has your basic Italian grocery items including canned tomatoes, dry pastas, biscotti, grissini and Italian candies. FYI, there are no tables and chairs, so we’re talking take-out. The staff is friendly and helpful. I got a free amaretto cookie today at checkout! Thanks!
