Great job! On time, used great care loading and unloading my household. Worked quickly but with TLC. Zero damage to furniture, only one small scratch in my house. Were flexible with a changing schedule. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

Phenomenal job!!! We had furniture moved from my Dad’s house in Lynchburg to our new home in Ashburn, VA. They gave us a highly competitive quote. They advised that they would arrive at my father’s house at 8 and our house by 1. I thought that was overly ambitious but indeed they did! They didn’t even take a break. They were so professional and kind. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Fantastic job. So pleased with the process and price.

These guys were great to work with! Available on a Sunday with less than 2 weeks notice, they arrived on time, went right to work, and got it all moved in one trip (from a small house on one side of Lynchburg to another small house on the other side). Troy and Greg were pleasant, professional, and tackled the big items (like the full-​size chest freezer) as if it was no big deal… And the cost was much better than expected. Would gladly hire them again!

We were recently moving out of our large home and downsizing into a smaller place. We had a ton of stuff and knew it would take forever to try and do it ourselves, so we hired movers for the first time ever. We were wary of the process since it was so unfamiliar. Having strangers in your home handling everything that you own is a nerve-​racking process.
I cannot say enough positive things about this company, and the three movers that helped us — Derrick, Sydney, and Kevin. These gentlemen arrived early, warmly introduced themselves, and quickly learned our names. They were not put off by the amount of things we had to move, or our lack of organization (haha). They instantly got to work, and never slowed down from 9 AM to 5 PM, aside from a 30 minute lunch break which we were not charged for. There was no breaks or time wasting of any kind. We honestly couldn’t believe that it was physically possible for these guys to keep up the pace they were at for that long, and with such great attitudes, in the August heat no less. They were careful and respectful of our things, and professional the entire time.
They eased our worries and made the process so much easier for us. We were so impressed & it was worth every penny to hire them. Unfortunately, in today’s world it is rare to see someone do their job so well without complaining or slacking, and these guys proved there are still hard workers out there! Thanks again!

I made a reservation to use American Moving in Richmond Virginia two months prior to my move date on a Saturday in August, knowing that August is prime moving season and dates book up fast. I confirmed two weeks prior and a week prior to the move date, to ensure there would be no issues when it came time to move. The company called me on Thursday prior to my move confirming «we will be there at 8am Saturday». On Friday morning at 10:30, they call me explaining the truck has broken and there is nothing they can do to help me move. I asked if there was another truck? — No. Can I rent a truck and use your men? — No. Another date? — uncertain when the truck will be back up and running, so not for now. Is there anything you can do for me? — No. So less than 24 hours prior to my move, my movers entirely cancel, leaving me without a truck, movers or a plan.
Thankfully I was able to find another moving company with availability to help with my move, but I will never use American Moving again, this process has been frustrating and unprofessional.

I have used American Movers three times, once for myself and twice for my son and I highly recommend them for all your moving needs.
They are polite, reliable and handle all your belongings with extreme care. They work with your special needs, communicate well and provide an excellent service.
