Seriously do not live here! First off the apartments look nothing like the model that they show you, the floors are super old and have cracks and stains. Maintenance is horrible, will come over and leave things still broken, they will also go in bedrooms that didn’t schedule Maintenance request… Ahem SKETCHYAF. You can’t put any food down the garbage disposal or it will clog the sink and flood. They ONLY spray the grounds during fall semester, so there is a huge roach infestation during spring and summer.(still a roach problem in fall but not as bad) black gunk was running through my friends water taps for 2 weeks before maintenance would even fix it. They are always doing loud construction, the past two weeks I have been woken up every morning at 8 am to workers hammering around my window, and the workers leave their tools scattered on the ground after they leave work. Which is a MAJORCONSTRUCTIONVIOLATION, and is very dangerous. Every semester for an entire month you have to remove all of your belongings from kitchen/living room and put it in your bedroom or they will throw it out. My first week living here they TOWEDMYCAREVENTHOUGH I HAD A PARKINGPERMIT, And they still tried to make me pay to get my car back, but I had to threaten to break my lease before they allowed me to get my car back sans of charge. On top of everything and all of the overages, this complex is super ghetto. One night I was followed back to my apartment by a man who harassed me and I was almost sexually assaulted, I told the office and they didn’t even care and told me there was nothing that they could do!!! And on another occasion a man tried to kick down my door! This neighborhood is not safe at all. My biggest regret was signing my lease for an entire year here. The only pro of this place is they have a nice pool(but they never clean it), and they have a stairmaster and gym. Also they lie to you and say that they have a tanning bed(which they don’t). It would be worth your while to spend more money and move into a nicer apartment, or for even cheaper the social is 1 block away, and is actually safe, and clean apartments that don’t have roaches.

Run before it is too late. Campus Lodge has been a nightmare since I’ve arrived. Let’s start with the security. The guards who man the gate are absolutely pointless. Whenever the line gets too long or someone can’t get in, they just let them in no matter who they are. Not like it really matters though, the gates are broken 60% of the time anyways. I’ve woken up to gunshots on multiple occasions. I also have a friend who was in a domestic violence/rape situation here and the management absolutely refuses to break the lease for her. Even with a restraining order the best they can do is move her to a different building — like that will help anything. There is a very greedy attitude when it comes to management. Bottom line– it’s not safe here. The maintenance crew is absolutely incompetent. Between my roommates and I, we have put in FIVE work orders to repair the dishwasher and even though they say it has been unclogged, it still floods the kitchen whenever we attempt to use it. I’ve never looked forward to moving so much in my life…

I lived in this place the first year they opened — it was nothing but drunks and druggies, fights and fireworks. There was no enforcement of any sort of rules or policy. The phone lines were faulty. Basically every thing(garbage disposal, washer/dryer, internet, etc) broke at some point during the year I was there. They advertised it as being quiet, with«quiet walls» between suites… but this was not true between separate apartments, nor was it true of the ceilings and floors. Still a ton of noise(even without the partying). The groundskeepers broke my roommates jeep window and then ran away from the scene. Trash was everywhere. Management was adversarial and folks in the office were selling access keycards to anybody with the cash. Just a bunch of vapid and plastic rich kids with no respect for other people or themselves.(My experience at CL definitely set me against living in the greater Tampa area.) Unless it’s changed drastically since they opened — I highly advise against living here. The year I lived at CL was one of the worst years of my life.
