Bob Evans needs a new manager. Waited to. get seated 45 minutes later no food. Need to have manager bus tables Customer just asked with 2 small children it’s been 45 minutes kids are getting restless. Manager came out and said sorry about that. The whole time we were waiting he was. No where in sight he could have run. The register I did see him putting some rolls in a carryout container. They were really busy but instead of leading his people he was no where to be is now 8:00 and food is here yet .We have been here over an hour we did have our salads wait food is here.

(11÷5÷2015) The MIL had a coupon to Bob Evans, so there we went for a weeknight dinner. We were in the mood for breakfast and they serve all day. Got the Chicken Fried Steak(I’m a sucker for sausage gravy). Steak was a commercial frozen breaded product(like from US Foods or Sysco). For sides, got Fries, «Loaded»(bacon, cheddar, 2 scallion flakes, missing the promised sour cream); these were large, thick, battered deep fried wedges, looked better than they tasted(old oil). Gravy was gluey, rather bland, no visible sausage bits. Garden Salad was large enough, tons of shredded yellow cheese, mix of romaine and iceberg, some of it rather wilty and browned on the edges. Buttermilk Pancakes were no IHOP, tender enough, slight metallic aftertaste(prob the baking powder in the mix). Pot Roast looked braised enough, but they were out of the usual mashed potatoes they serve it with. Service was friendly enough, started off adequately, then descended into incompetence. Once the food was delivered, our waitress pretty much disappeared, a refill request for unsweet tea yielded 2 sweet teas, a second request for unsweet yielded… nothing for 20 mins, then the answer that they were out of tea, missing bread came at the end of the meal. The place seemed to have enough business for a later weeknight, weird, don’t know how they do it. With a coupon, the meal ended up at $ 10/person. I supposed that was worth that amount of money, just go with some lowered expectations.

We saw their commercial on TV for Broasted Chicken. It also appeared on our Smart Phone. We drove there(3 people). We got there, asked for the Broasted Chicken. They said they don’t have it! We were very upset. All they said is sorry., This means they are liars. We walked out and went somewhere else. We will never go back there. I sent this to the Bob Evans website. They NEVER even had the courtesy to answeer us at all. NEVER again.
