We sat in the restaurant vs. takeout. There were so many sounds of multiple TVS and jukebox competing for my attention. We had one TV next to my ear and wxlo in the other and them someone put on reggae on the jukebox. The wait staff seemed clueless to do anything about it after asking more than one time. We my daughter ordered mozzarella stick and«jumbo ravioli» Turns out there is an appetizer ‘fried jumbo ravioli” and a dish that is actually ravioli and sauce. we didn’t get the one we wanted. why would a 14 year old girl order two fried appetizers? My wife got«loaded fries» if that is loaded than I an clueless. We ordered a large pizza too. I got one 22 oz beer my wife two 16oz beers. Here first beer was flat, neither very cold. He second beer was better. The changed out the keg. They shouldn’t have sold us the first beer. The mozza sticks were chewy inside. not fried enough, The pizza was surprisingly good. I got the bill with tip was $ 76.00 for 3 people at a pizza joint. Ouch!

I wanted to give Zeda’s a fair shake before posting a review. So a couple months have passed and I have experienced their food/service now on three or four occasions. My #1 complaint is how SSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW the service is… everytime. I ordered an Italian sub for takeout on a Sunday at 11:55. I was told 20 minutes. That alone surprised me, but I figured maybe they were busy. I arrived at the 20 minute mark and had to wait about another 7 minutes. There was one table with three people… thats it. Employees were just standing around the kitchen chatting. Seriously? An italian sub should take 10 min at best, even with toasting, not 27. In addition, to the right of the cashier station in full view is a table littered with purses, open drinks and plates of half eaten pizza, just sloppy looking. I think the biggest issue Zeda’s has is their homemade chips. Sure they are nice, but the staff didn’t even start making them until my sub was done(thus the extra 7 minutes). They need to learn to work as a team and multi-task. Customers do not have an infinite amount of time, they need to do better. I will say their food is pretty good but not good enough for me to overlook the service/time to table issues that exist. As a side note, their pizza is just nasty, just like they had down the road at the old centre pizza, hated it there, hate it here. I will take Embers or Godfreys over them anyway of the week.

Zedas is a nice place to visit if you don’t want to get takeout from the other 5 pizza places in town. Their food is slightly above average which is what I would expect for a place like this. Better than going to Friday’s but not restaurant quality. The challenge lies in service as staff seem inexperienced and forget little things. Service is an opportunity to set them apart with that«neighborhood feel» but they are lacking. Staff argue and complain on floor, sit at bar seats during service hours, on their phones constantly and seem less worried about making sure customers are happy and experience is positive. I hope the owner can turn it around quickly as I was always hoping a place like this would open in the center and I don’t want to see a small business fail. Good luck! Visited again, service continues to be slow and sub par. Take out ready 20 minutes after time given and it did not seem very busy. Maybe give it one more try to see if staff can be trained better.

First time trying this place, opened a week or two ago from what I see. I know it’s the old centre pizza just moved to a new location with a different name from what the word on the street is, and actually when you go to zedas website and select the Lunenburg location menu the old centre pizza menu pops up! And there starts my issues… I wanted 6pc chicken tender dinner, on the center pizza menu it says $ 9.50 and comes in bbq, mild or hot with a choice or dipping sauce. So when I ordered and said bbq chicken tender meal I expected it to be tenders dipped in sauce. My girlfriend got the veggie sub which she used the center pizza menu, as like I said before you click on zedas Lunenburg menu you get this menu. so the veggie came with lettuce, tomato, onion, olives, green peppers, American and provolone cheese. She ordered it With a side of blue cheese dressing. The menu said $ 6.75 for a large. We go get the food and the total is high $ 24.the math didn’t add up, I looked at the receipt and see the chicken meal was $ 13.50 and I also see bbq on side. The sub was $ 9.50…So I asked if the chicken was dipped in bbq sauce like the menu said or on the side. well it was on the side. So I asked if I could get another side of sauce instead which they gave me. We also glanced At the menu they had at the store, completely different than what is online. should be updated with the newer menu to reflect more accurate prices. on the new menu there wasn’t even a 6pc tender meal. it had wights, ¼lb ½lb so on. none of them were priced at the price I paid? I also checked zedas Fitchburg online order menu and ordered the same thing I got and it was $ 9.50. So I don’t know if Lunenburgs prices are different from the other locations or not. We get home and realize they didn’t include the side of blue cheese which was written right on the ticket. My girlfriend looks at her sub and sees it includes French fry chips, they were Kinda tasty, different but tasty. But she also sees mushrooms on the sub. Menu never said mushrooms. She’s is allergic to them. So I call and explain to the girl on the phone we looked at the centre pizza menu that zedas Lunenburg brought us to on there site and the veggie sub never said it had mushrooms. She said to me that they are not centre pizza anymore. I stated I understood but this is the online menu your providing to your customers. The manager took the phone and said they would remake it for me, he asked me what I wanted on it, I told him what the menu said(see above). And I asked for a side of blue cheese, he asked if the blue cheese was left out, I informed him it was, he apologized and stated he could have it delivered when they got a chance I told him I would just come get it myself. So we drove back returned the old sub and chips and got the new one. We get home and she checks the sub… NOOLIVES. gimme a break and also they didn’t include the chips. atleast they included the blue cheese and took the mushrooms off. at this point we don’t care anymore and just eat. The chicken and sauces were decent, the fries were on the soggy side and the Cole slaw was pretty good. The sub was decent just a sub with veggies on it, can’t mess that up, well wait never mind. not sure if we will return after this performance.

I will update this review when Zedas is more well established, but I have been impressed so far. This place JUST opened(on the day I am posting this). The restaurant was pretty quiet, but that is to be expected on their first night. Atmosphere looked quite good, the food was overall good. There are certainly things to improve on, but I think a lot of that will come with time(eg. pizza was just OK, freshly made chips had no salt on them which I thought was a bit odd, and the sub had far less meat in it than you would expect). Overall looking great though, and I would definitely recommend checking it out, especially if you are a Lunenburg resident. Also, they have a full bar, which is a great addition.
