Godfrey’s Grille & Pizzeria

I stopped ordering out of annoyance. I can say the delivery guy is great but that’s about it. I live in a huge condo complex and every time I give my address they question it! You can’t tell me it is because of your GPS because it isn’t a problem for anyone else. A 1 minute order turns into 5 and give me a headache. Oh and the food is a little on the expensive side for take out.

My family just moved into down was look a pizza shop stumbled on this one we liked it so much we dont order no where esle since.

I went to Godfrey’s for the first time today. We ordered their version of a Margarita pizza and 2 fire grilled chicken salads. I thought the salads were way overpriced for 4 oz of dry chicken with some salad but the pizza was awesome! It was nothing like a true Margarita pizza but I have to say that their sauce was delicious!, the homemade crust was the best, they used fresh ripe tomatoes and not a ton of cheese. Truly one of the best pizza’s I have had in a long time. We live in Leominster but it is definitely worth the 20 mins to get there. Can’t wait to try another pizza. I have also heard that if you like Mac N Cheese, they have the best too!

Ok, I’m getting more disappointed every time I go here now. When this place first opened (different owners), it was some of the best «easy» food I have ever had. The pizza was actually excellent; second best I had the pleasure of eating.
Friends told us it was sold to new ownership. Since this happened, the food has completely gone down hill and the staff has been replaced with less than professional girls and boys.
If you see the the pizza picture on this site, that’s what it used to look like and was more than delicious.
Now the meat lovers is a greasy mess with less than good meat and sparse. IT ALSO TASTES LIKE IM EATING A CANDY BAR BECAUSE THE SAUCE IS SO SWEET NOW.
I took a chance and ordered a hamburg and bacon pizza the other day… forced two slices down and threw it out.
Beyond that, the «girls» working there were catty, rude teenagers. This may be the reason I’ve never seen the same people there every other week.
Just disappointed because I think the owner is there every time I am.

Ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, carmelized onion and sausage well done and a chef salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Pizza was not well done, onions were raw, very little sauce and way too much cheese. It looked as if the pizza was hastily prepared and just thrown together and not one slice was of a consistent size. Crust was dull, lifeless and very doughy. Almost as if they thought «well done» meant «don’t really cook it». The salad was equally as lifeless made it almost entirely of lettuce and not much else except a giant pepper ring and some purple cabbage. Think there might have been one slice of cucumber in there… and for the balsamic dressing… well it was olive oil and balsamic vinegar. That’s it. No seasoning. We’re one and done with the very highly rated Godfrey’s…you’re better off with a supermarket pizza.

So i just ordered 70 dollars worth of flavorless crap 4 steak and cheese that had. more grease soaked. bread then steak and cheese my buffalo chicken sub was chewy!!! Im grossed out waste of. money and a huge let. down took three bites and tossed it. the only thing they didnt screw up was the 2 liter of coke and sprite

I went here 4 or 5 times when it first opened; either they messed up my order most of the time the other times I just didn’t like the food. Every time I went I was dissatisfied… so I gave up.

Calzones and the mac and cheese are both so good.
I usually get a chicken parm sandwich on garlic bread which is really really good! I recommend it!

The food here is good. A little pricey, but you pay for better quality food.
On the other hand, the owner is not very nice and he keeps all of the tips.
So come here for good food, but don’t leave any tips because they all go straight into his wallet.

I would give them five stars for their steak tips except they serve instant mashed potatoes with them and you cannot substitute them.

$ 15 for a salad with grilled chicken? I could’ve had a full dinner at a decent restaurant. Over priced…

Pizza: I’ve had better
Burgers: Juicy & Delicious! And they’re huge!
Mac & Cheese: Had it with bbq chicken! Ooh damn it was good!
Pasta: Chicken Alfredo w/​broccoli. Just average

I’ve heard some chatter about Godfrey’s for some time now, so I thought I’d stop in and give it a try.
Other Unilocalers have raved about the Mac and cheese here so I ordered it just as it comes (you can also get steak tips and pork as well) Ill admit I had really high expectations based on reviews. The Mac and cheese is delicious but not the super awesome over the moon dish I was expecting. (Perhaps with some toppings ill get that, I’m thinking steak tips next round would ROCK!) For the price you get a good meal with generous portions and a creamy cheesy sauce, I got about half way though the dish before throwing in the towel and hitting food coma status.
The kids chicken fingers comes with smiley fries, can’t disappoint a kid who always defaults to chicken fingers by switching up the fries to smiley faces.
The Cesar salad is a big portion for just around $ 5 so you cant go wrong there.
Godfrey’s has a wide range of food, I’ll be sure to go back and check out the buffalo chicken pizza, and actually purchase the grasshopper whoopie pie that I passed up on the first round.
If you’re in the area be sure to give this local joint a try, they’ve got a patio in the back that would be nice to sit and enjoy in the warmer months ((not so much in the heart of winter))

If I could enter 4.5 stars I would. Haven’t had their pizza yet but everything else on the menu is superb. Flavor and portion size exceed expectations. Plan to bring some of it home! Prices have gone up but not as much compared to competing businesses — portion size makes up for it anyway.

This review is for their pizza only, as I haven’t tried their subs or pasta dishes.
I had some really good pizza from here a couple of years ago, but not since then. The past three times we’ve ordered pizza it has been soggy, doughy, and undercooked.
I will say that all the veggies on my veggie pizza were fresh and delicious.

Ordered a couple subs to go.
Food– 3.5 Stars
Ok not great subs. The bread on mine had a super hard exterior, which wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Mine was also supposed to be toasted I don’t think it was. The Roast beef «our own» was fine if not a bit chewy. Overall it was a fine sub but not the best sub ever by any means.
Atmosphere– 4 Stars
Cute little place with a neat little outdoor back deck.

Of course the sign boasting «Award winning mac ‘n cheese» is going to draw in curious queso aficionados. Lemme tell you, whether you get it served up with steak tips, pulled pork, lobster, or just plain, you’re probably going to be pretty pleased. Big portions, great thick, creamy sauce, a winner in my books!
I’ve also ordered up a few pizzas from here, the meat pizza is great if you’re into carnivore pizzas. Sauce is a bit zesty, well cheesed, and they don’t skimp on toppings whatever you decide to top it with.
This is one of my top choices for pizza in the area, check ‘em out!

Not a better sub in New England. I found out about Godfrey’s on Unilocal and called Alex the owner and asked if he’d make 50 subs for my son’s football team which was playing nearby. He was incredibly accomodating, and even helped me secure 100 bottles of Gatorade for the team, which he iced down in an enormous bucket. While we were at the restaurant picking up the subs, my wife and I treated ourselves to Italian Cold Cut subs. Delicious. The resturant was clean and welcoming and the staff was top notch. These guys deserve 6 stars and I hope we’ll have reason to be in the area again. Thanks Alex.
