DELICIOUSSTICKYCHOCOLATYWAFFLES! Perfect for skii break After skiing for 2 hours who would want some sugar rush! These cabins located on both Jackson Gore side and Okemo side are perfect for that. These are tiny wooden cabins serving waffles and hot cocoa but the waffles, if you ask me, are straight from the heaven. They are perfectly crunchy topped with sugar and you can add chocolate syrup and ready to roll. they are made fresh to the order and served warm and just melts in the mouth. P. S. They only take CASH!

Excellent waffle at one of the unlikeliest places — a tiny store at the base of a mountain. I was staying at the Jackson Gore Inn at Okemo Mountain for a friend’s wedding. A buddy and I were browsing around before said wedding and saw a line at this tiny house-shaped store called The Waffle Cabin. Intrigued, we joined the line. We saw that they were selling hot cider, so we originally intended to get that, but the young girl in front of us ordered a chocolate-drizzled waffle and we changed our minds. Oh. My. God. So dang good. I probably walked around the resort with chocolate smeared on my face for a few hours, but I didn’t care. That waffle hit the spot.

Very tasty waffle! Options for beverages only. Stop there when you need a mid-ski snack.

By far the best waffle I have ever had! My son had one with chocolate sauce the first day of skiing at Okemo, we all decided to have one the second day… wow, yum! The outside is crispy, the inside warm and chewy with the perfect amount of sweetness. Can’t wait for tomorrow(our third and final day of skiing)!!!

I’ve been dreaming about this place for a few years ever since seeing it featured on the Food Network. I finally got to try it last week, and it did not disappoint. The waffles have a slight sugary glaze and come drizzled with chocolate if you like. This was a deciding factor in choosing Okemo for our latest ski trip, and I can’t wait to return.

Doesn’t get much better than a perfectly made hot Belgian sugar(liege) waffle drizzled with real chocolate on a cold day on the mountain! Very easy to make at home assuming that you can find real pearl sugar(good luck with that) but to walk up to the cabin and have a fresh one in your hand for $ 4.25 in one minute is truly a unique treat and a great deal. We come to the Waffle Cabin every time we’re on the mountain and I think that I like it as much as the kids! Liege waffles are popular street food in Belgium so kudos to whomever thought of bringing it here. A big hit and very popular on the mountain — almost always a(quick) line for waffles at the cabin!

Perfect snack break on the mountain. Hot cider and a choco covered waffle. I was hoping for some variety of toppings(PB&J) but they are so good you can enjoy them plain and the crunchy outer and soft inner are delish!

After a long day on the 120 runs in okemo nothing refuels you better that a chocolate glazed fresh waffle that is infused with sugar. Top notch!

It isn’t the fact that this is the only food option on the mountain that there is without having to go inside that makes these waffles so good. Whoever came up with the recipe must be filthy rich right now because I don’t know how anyone can turn down one of these waffles or reject going to this place. LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE!!! If you do not stop in one of their two Okemo locations(one under the Black Ridge Triple and another at the Jackson Gore base), you are an idiot. Spend the five dollars and enjoy!!!

It’s delicious waffles and chocolate covered waffles on the side of ski slope. I won’t insult anyone’s intelligence by reviewing this place any further. It’s a no-brainer.

Given that the only way you can get to eat these Travel-channel touted waffles is by skiis, it better be a 5-star worthy experience. I actually took ski lessons at Okemo so that I could get to try the waffles! Well, I’m partially kidding, but I did convince my ski class to stop for a break at the Waffle House :) It did not disappoint — but it did make it harder to get down the mountain :) I wish they had an optional snow-mobile service to take your carb-heavy butt down the mountain after consuming a waffle.

After seeing Waffle Cabin on the Travel Channel I had to give it a try. Let me tell you I was not disappointed. I had a waffle with chocolate and it was delicious. We skied up and had a fresh warm waffle within just 2 or 3 minutes and then we continued on our day of skiing. It was a great place to take a short breather.

Genius idea! Every major ski resort without a waffle cabin is missing out on a great revenue stream. What a pleasing sight and smell it is as you approach this beauty after soaring down a trail. The waffles are fresh cooked, soft, moist and come with an option of chocolate sauce. Stay away from hot coco which is like mud. Hands down though, the best waffle I ever ate. Enjoy.

First off, if you don’t ski, you’re out of luck. This food stand is ON Okemo Mountain, right above the Sugar House — off Lower Mountain Road/Lift Line. But if you do, you’re in luck for some of the best waffles I’ve ever had. How can that be? They use a special European pearl sugar that makes the waffles just incredible. They are cooked to order. Get them with Chocolate sauce. For 5 bucks, its heavenly.(Remember, they take CASHONLY.) The line gets a little long in the afternoon but as a great snack on the mountain(throw in a cup of hot chocolate too), it’s about the best you can get from a food stand — on or off the mountain.
