The Loft

This place really had it all for me: great atmosphere, great people, great music, and great drinks. I would recommend getting there a little early, considering there were people lined up around the bar all night looking for a place to sit. It fills up quickly. It’s a very different feel than most bars here in Lubbock. It really isn’t the dance all night place as much as what it is a chill and listen to local music place. I will definitely be adding it to my cool things to do.
My favorite part really was the drinks. Paul made everything taste just a little different than the cliché bar recipes… in the best ways. My signature going out drink is a vodka tonic… I’m not sure how he did it, but he just made it better than most places. When I go out, I like to actually enjoy my drinks. Paul made that easy to do. Keep it up guys, and I’ll definitely keep on coming!

Look! A bar! And it is calm. The Loft is good for a nice drink (most are literary-​themed) and a low-​key atmosphere. It’s not crowded, it’s got lots of comfy spots to relax, and it has a kick-​ass personality.
This bar is perfect for folks who are over the overrun bars with bouncers and loud music. The Loft is a bar that is lively and hip, a niche that Lubbock doesn’t cater to well. The Loft takes care of those folks and pours them a drink — a dang good one at that.
With a coffee shop on the ground floor (Gatsby’s) and a bar on the top (The Loft), this building has got to be one of the easiest places to chill and spend a lot of your time/​money.
(Only suggestion would be to have the a/​c cooler because it was a lil warm. But, nbd, a good ol’ drink helped.)
