If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Amazing food! Everything is delicious and authentic! SUPER reasonable price for the amount of food and quality of food you get. Waiters are so nice and owner walks around and haves conversations with people. So so so good!

The staff is friendly enough. The place is a decent size, there isn’t that much parking but when I went it wasn’t that crowded. I wasn’t that impressed with the food honestly, the tacos were okay but I’ve had better. The price though was pretty good.

About 4 years ago picantes was awesome. Not sure what happened. The meat in the beef quesadilla was so fatty and un trimmed that it was literally inedible. I got the burrito supreme and the chicken was fatty as well. Prices are a bit high for food that just makes you queasy. I dunno. chips and salsa are good. And the staff is nice. One time they had a mariachi band playing. and they were awful. Go across the street the Mexican restaurant there is better.

If I was doing a review on nothing but breakfast burritos I would give this place 5 stars. The burritos are nice size and good price. Everything else I’ve tried on the menu is pretty good, but nothing to sing and dance about. The salsa is a bit lacking, could use some work, but that probably has more to do with what people in this area demand. If you haven’t been here go in and get a breakfast burrito smothered in white queso. The queso Blanco is actually really tasty stuff.

The food here is about as authentic as you can get for texas. Being from New Mexico im really ify about what these texans call mexican food. They sell breakfast plates and burritos, the burritos are the size of a cat and are SO delicious! The down side to it all is the price, Burritos are only $ 3 — $ 4 but plates get a little pricey. The salsa is also really watery, thats more of a personal complaint though as i prefer chunkier salsa. All in all a good place to eat with good service and alot of different menu items.

Wonderful breakfast burritos! So big I couldn’t finish it. Burritos are made the way you want it with many choices. My husband had breakfast enchiladas with chorizo and said they were delicious.
Had excellent service!
Lots of people coming in for take-​out.
Very busy place! And a very good choice!

Love this place. The best Mexican food. Absolutely love the fish caldo. Menudo is great. Service is great. Burritos are huge. The owner comes out to the tables and visits the customers. Very impressive. He cares about his customers. I seen one customer tell him that her food was just too spicy and she couldn’t tolerate but a few bites. He took her plate in the back and made her a less spicy plate. That’s quality service

Eat at Picante’s more often than I should. Food is prepared fresh and you can tell. I prefer the green sauce on my enchilada’s. Spicy and fresh. The beef tacos have a excellent flavor, not the usual over spiced chili powder you get else where. Plus they are on the Rewards Network which allows me to earn airline mileage.

Absolutely love the food! Had the white queso with grilled jalapeño slices. My son ordered the tamale plate from the lunch menu and I ordered the chili releno plate. Would recommend to everyone.

It was terrible. We went this morning, the food had no taste and the order was wrong. $ 23 wastes and we were still hungry bc we couldn’t bare to stomach it. What a waste. We won’t be back.

I’ve never actually set food in Picantes, but I’ve had their breakfast burritos at least half a cozen times in the last few months when my co-​workers have brought them. I’ve had them with bacon, sausage, and chorizo and all 3 have been very good and the quality is always consistent.
I’m gonna have to in person sometime and try them for lunch or dinner based on the quality of their breakfast.

Amazing burritos. But the hot sauce is disgusting and has no heat or flavor. Will definitely recommend to a friend. Quick service. Friendly staff.

We had time for lunch before heading to the airport. Picante’s got a pretty good review, so, we thought we’d try it. It was easy to get to and worth the trip. There were plenty of cars in the parking lot. Which was a good sign. We got a table right away and were served chips & salsa as soon as we sat down. We checked the menu but both decided to get the Monday lunch special which was fajitas. The food was very cheap and was served almost immediately.

Looking for local mexican food this is a good place to try out. Service not too bad and food was good. There are some combo plates not on menu but on a sign above the register area worth looking at. Look here first as it includes enchiladas, tamales, tacos different ways. Wish i had noticed this earlier or our waitress mentioned them.

Wow! just wow! Super friendly owner greeted me with a fist pump. I ordered three breakfast burritos to go and it was ready in less then five mins but you could tell it was made to order. Then when I got home I pulled out three burritos almost the size of my forearm. They were super good. The best I have had in a long time full of flavor. These guys know how to do it right.
I only could fit half of one in but my husband gladly picked up the slack.
