Always friendly service here. My go-to is the French dip with potato salad and a sweet tea. The employees will deliver your food and get you drink refills throughout your meal.

Best value I’ve found ! Can’t beat this place at all. Awesome sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, salads and more. Kids meals are .99 cents. Not many places you can find now that are affordable, good food and value. Highly recommended ! Definitely be back !

Stay away! Dirty, sticky, and overall gross! Poor service and food! Bathrooms were filthy! One poor young lady was basically the only one working. The others stood around griping about how they didn’t want to be at work. Saddest part is — the manager stood around visiting as well. Pathetic work ethic in this place. Apparently, McAlister’s advocates laziness among employees and management. We asked a young lady to check the bathrooms because they were out of toilet paper and the floors were filthy. Didn’t happen! Our order was incorrect and when we asked for it to be fixed, we were given attitude from the employees and dirty looks from the kitchen. Just stay away!

For a change, instead of a sandwich, I tried their Chicken bacon jalapeño pasta. They used macaroni, and I would have preferred angel hair pasta. They also could have had more sauce, and more chicken with the pasta. It was better than a sandwich, however I’ve had better pasta elsewhere. The turkey cranberry salad was fine, though.

After all these reviews you would think this place was really something special… Got the chicken Caesar wrap with a side of mac and cheese. Both tasted like pre packaged, catering food, something you would get for a big conference, or at a dining hall somewhere. Assumed this place would be closer to a Panera, but obviously I was mistaken.

Best Mcalister’s in the world! Justin the manager is funny and the workers are so hard working. Prices are cheap and the food is good! What more can you ask for?! I recommend the Cobb club with a side of Mac and cheese. I promise I cannot lead you in the wrong direction! Thanks again guys!

Ordered online and it was my first time going to McAlister’s, and I was not disappointed. Online ordering was quick and easy, and when you walk in the employees are all friendly and helpful. I like that they repeat orders back to their customers! I ordered the choose two: southwest turkey melt and broccoli cheese soup. The sandwich was so good! I wish it had a little more guacamole but it was still a good sandwich. The soup was good too, but there’s better broccoli cheddar soups out there. I also got a sweet tea, and I see why they’re known for it here. It’s amazing! Overall this was a great first experience and I’m sure I’ll be back!

The food is good when dining in, hit or miss when having take out. Sandwiches slopped together, haphazard packing of French dip au jus, half prepared nachos, did not make for a fun night in.(Au jus is difficult to clean up from an in bag spill… just saying) Tea was great, and food tasted fine, just a little care would have helped immensely!

Food is always great. The manager there, I believe his name is Alfredo, is the friendliest man ever! I see him a lot when I go and he always is very upbeat and he gave me a drink on the house one time when my order was taking long. Service is wonderful. Also, try their sweets that they have at the register.

Good service is important to me and I felt well taken care of during my entire visit. This was my «second pass» at this McAlister’s. The first time was around noon and there was a line I thought might take too long because I was very limited on time. Today I found out why people were willing to «wait». The line went quickly and the person who took my order was very friendly and helpful. He rang me up and gave me a number and I found a nice high-top table near a window. I wondered about silverware since I had ordered soup and a grilled chicken salad. My order came out in about 5 minutes and I needn’t have worried about the silverware as the server brought everything I needed. The salad was fresh with the dressing on the side so I could use only what I wanted. It was a huge amount of salad served on a very large plate. They were also generous with the grilled chicken. The soup was about the perfect temperature to eat without scalding my tongue. I would recommend the potato soup. It was quite tasty. The waitstaff checked on me after a few minutes to see if I needed anything. I felt like there were so many staff members that if I needed anything, I could ask and they would quickly take care of it. This was a great lunch experience and I look forward to my next visit.

For a month, I ended my work day at 5:30 and had a night class from 6 – 10 so I got McAlisters in the sad 30 minute gap of freedom between work and school. I was never disappointed– and I went 8 times! Not to mention the extra times I find an excuse to go. I order the veggie club and potato salad every time, with a classic sweet tea(who wouldn’t get a sweet tea at McAlisters?). The service is prompt, food comes out quickly and they are so attentive. I always grabbed takeout, but when I have eaten here before servers are always around to refill drinks. Overall, McAlisters is my favorite deli sandwich in Lubbock. I really love eating locally but this is one chain that I have no problem giving my money to. McAlisters on 19th is always consistent with service, quality of food and a relaxing, QUIET atmosphere. Can’t beat it!

I like this place just fine. The sandwiches are Ok — nothing to write home about, but one cannot beat the $ 0.99 kid’s meals!

McAlister’s consistently remains a guilty pleasure of mine. Not guilty in the sense that the food is bad for you, but guilty in that I want to swan dive into a pool of their ice tea and float around in it for awhile. This McAlister’s is centrally located though not close to my office. For some reason, this never bothers me and I always find a way to get there. In fact, I can get there so often you may say I am stuck in a rut, you can say that but I definitely do not mind! To me, this location is preferable over the 82nd street location because I think the employees are nicer and the facilities are cleaner. I like McAlister’s for a number of reasons and I have a very difficult time ranking them. The sandwiches(Sweet Chipotle Chicken Sandwich) are consistently good, the salads(Savannah Chopped Salad) are great, the(Unsweet) Tea is delicious, the desserts(Lemon Poppy Seed Pound Cake) taste like heaven, and people here are great. The main down side is that you and I are not the only ones who love McAlister’s so a big crowd is guaranteed if you go during typical meal times. The parking is sometimes a challenge but usually manageable. I would suggest not forgetting your tea and meal punch cards; after ten purchases, you get a freebie — and there other thing better than delicious food is FREE delicious food!

When I first moved to Lubbock I asked the guys at the front desk for a great place for a deli sandwich. They recommended this. With the line at lunch time you’d think Justin Bieber was in town for sandwich– jeeze. I like sandwichs. I’m a fan but this place was nothing special. I thought it was pricey and honestly with the amount of people having lunch there the ambience was lacking. I’d rather make my own sandwich– I could eat lunch in peace. Not bad but nothing special.

Although it costs too much to make it a habit, McAlisters has yummy food. I like the club sandwich or getting a bread bowl with soup, especially if they have broccoli and cheese.

Awesome restaurant! The food is always fresh and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The sandwiches are large and tasty. The chicken and dumplings soup is the best you can get next to grandma’s! Just beware if you go between 11:45 — 12:30 the lines are long! Parking is small area, but the food is worth the wait!

Stop for a bite to eat while performing at the Civic Center with a local tour. WORSTSERVICEANDFOODEVER. Don’t waste your time or money in this place. Everything tastes bland and over processed. After waiting a half hour for a baked potato and some soup, the food runner was extremely rude. The store wasn’t even busy! When talking to the manager, instead of giving us our money back, he gave us 2 meal vouchers to make us sit through yet ANOTHER excruciating McAlister’s experience in our own hometown. The Denton location had better service but the food still sucked. I think I’ll stick with my Jason’s Deli, thanks.

Helpful staff to this out-of-towner…I was craving a Reuben and they fit the bill. Clean interior, welcoming. Got the sandwich, chips, cookie and a drink for a cool $ 10.50. Wasn’t the best Reuben I’ve had, but pretty good – no complaints. I would venture to guess that this is probably the best deli in Lubbock.

McAlister’s consistently delivers a quality meal. My favorite is the roasted turkey on a croissant. They also have great potatoes that are large enough to satisfy at least one person, if not two. The tea is probably some of the best you can get in Lubbock. My only complaint is that it does often get very busy at peak hours(they are still pretty quick and handle it well) and the fruit salad is horrible. It tastes like canned fruit that is put in containers and stuck in the freezer(which it probably is). Fruit salad is NOT supposed to be frozen and hard to eat. It is a bit pricey for Lubbock but the quality justifies the price. McAlisters is perfect for catering as well.

Every single time I go here, I always end up extremely satisfied no matter what I get. Apparently it’s been a while for me because they’ve expanded their menu adding potatoes(*drool*) and other home cooked options like meat loaf and chicken dishes. Their sandwiches and salads are always so fresh and they have killer soups. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re seriously missing a damn good sandwich.
