Cujo’s Sports Bar & Grill

The bartenders are rude! I showed up after a hard days work in the hot sun, ordered a beer, and they would not serve me! I guess they don’t serve folks who make an honest living through blood and sweat! I was a regular who never caused no problems and always tipped well!!! This is why I will never again patronize anything owned by Curtis Jordan. He and his staff will never see another hard earned dollar from me!

Food is nasty, mixed drinks are weak, always crowded (why?) and can’t breathe from the smoke. Only thing this place can do is beer, that’s hard to screw up.

Great drink specials for the month of March. However, their margaritas were very off tasting for one of our group. The waitress was nice and willing to get the girl a new drink who had the bad margarita.

I don’t know if this was just a one time horrible experience not reflective of the bar typically, but this was up there in one of my top 5 worst bar/​restaurant visits I’ve ever had. Entrance doors looked like school cafeteria doors. Walk in, no clear signage as to seat yourself or wait to be seated. Waited a few then sat ourselves. Beer list at the table didn’t reflect what they have on tap and waitress wasn’t sure about what they have currently m. Ordered a Dos XX Amber from their «Super Premium» beer list. Was brought what I believe was either an Ace Cider or Another Hard Cider with limes. It was very obvious on the first sip it wasn’t the right beer. I informed the waitress who informed me she watched the bartender pour it, so it was definitely Dos XX Amber. I told her she may want to have the bartender taste it or check the keg because it definitely wasn’t. Luckily I don’t mind Cider Beer so I kept drinking it. But no attempt to check or correct was made. When we ordered I stated that we wanted to «start with» the wings. Then I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza mainly because it listed the toppings as including Jalapeños and I figured that anywhere that understands that paring had to be decent. First comes out the pizza, which should have been called «Ketchup Chicken Pizza» and was completely void of Jalapeños. 2^nd the wings arrived which were ok. And finally the other entrée arrived a few minutes later (tacos which were not bad but also not good) ultimately I paid $ 50.30 (plus what I would consider a generous tip all things considered) for one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

The Cajun nachos were really good! The chicken had a great flavor and it wasn’t too spicy. My sister’s burger with ham and a fried egg was excellent as well. I went around 7 so they weren’t too busy, but I had great service from a pretty waitress! The drinks were good and fairly cheap. I felt bad for the babies I saw, considering there’s smoke in the air.

Always great service, surprisingly good food for a sports bar, and pretty good prices all around. Definitely one of my favorite bars in town. We came in a few days before Thanksgiving — Kendall took fantastic care of us!

good drinks, good cheese fries, good environment. the prices for drinks aren’t that bad either. there is smoking allowed inside which is kind of a turn off but if you want a good drink just come here.

Cujos is a great place with extraordinary management. The entire staff is friendly and bartenders are great and go out of their way to make your drinks the you like them. First visit was pleased with all the food. I travel 120 miles to Lubbock and came back to Cujos for second visit and had their wings, absolutely the best wings ever. Got extra wings to take some home to family. Thumbs up

This is not the old Cujos. They’ve brightened up the place, added more TVs, and also have a much bigger menu. I went during non happy hour time, and was pleased with my tab. The service waa great, and the drinks were very affordable and served ice cold.

Love the staff and drinks! Their signature fireball colada is yummy! Good times with regular friends!

Love this place, great service and always have a great time here. Food is good and deals are great. My favorite waitress has to be Kindle has the best personality and is fun to talk to. :0

Not terrible place to grab a beer and catch the game. However, don’t sit inside unless you feel like smelling like cigarettes the rest of the night.

Been here a few times in 2 trips to Lubbock. Good mix of sports bar and restaurant. Not super child friendly, particularly as they allow smoking, but seen a couple families come through. Good for watching sports with lots of TVs, particularly if you’re looking for a Big 12 game. Not too pricey, good fried food. Prices are great, the waitresses are really attentive, and the crowd is fairly mellow (at least if the home town teams aren’t on any of the TVs… I couldn’t speak to how rowdy they get if Tech is playing). It’s officially our post-​family stop while staying in Lubbock.

When I first walked in I wasn’t so sure I was going to like this place. I’m not used to smoking in bars/​restaurants anymore and none of the staff seemed interested in seating me or getting me a drink. However, I’m not great at first impressions so I thought I would wait to judge.
When we did get a table the waitress was actually very sweet and even though she was super busy did a good job of checking on us. We drank the schooners and the food was pretty tasty, but typical bar food for the most part. The smoke did get to me after a couple of hours but hey, I’m all for the freedom to do what you want while you still can. :)
The best part was at the end. Then I saw it was for $ 17 for 4 schooners and our food. I started to laugh and realized how much I missed college and those great college town specials.

Hands down my favorite place to go when I lived in Lubbock. Schooners are cheap and their Cajun Chicken Nachos are DAMN good! If I ever find myself back in Lubbock, Cujo’s is the first place I’m going.
This is a smoke-​friendly place and I was a smoker at the time so that was actually a plus for me. But I feel that is an important aspect to include in a review, since it does bother quite a few people.

I don’t understand the hype of Cujos. I’ve come here a few times to watch the Rangers play. They have great drink specials but food is way over priced and only decent at best. You usually have to fight to get a pool table and you walk out smelling like smoke.

Hit or miss on the bar scene and service. Pizza is awesome and the beer is cold.

I loved Cujo’s because of how laid back it was but it was a little weird that on a Saturday night the place was ¹⁄₃ empty. The waitress took very good care of me but I’m sure it was mostly due to her wanting to get with my buddy.
If you’ve been to Moose Magoo’s across town then you know EXACTLY what Cujo’s is like on the inside. Every single detail is the same at both places and I think it was unfortunate that Cujo’s wasn’t more original.
I would have likely given them four stars except that they closed the kitchen super early for no apparent reason. When I’m at a bar I want to be able to least order some chips or wings, not just refills.
