Should be noted I hit two Stars! I didn’t mean too! Big ZEROSTARSFORUSTONITE! We had Horrible service! Took over an hour to seat us. I asked the hostess why it was taking so long cause I saw empty tables. She said well where, we’re going to sit you, just hasn’t left. We’re waiting for them to leave! Seriously??? Move tables together and sit us! Unbelievable. Yes, we had 9 adults, and a high chair. Finally, get seated and ordered a margarita and it was half water, half margarita! then after ordering food another server? Or what looked like to be janitor, with a long sleeve Nike hoodie, brought our food out not knowing what food went to who! He had no rag or pot holder, so he pulled his dirty sleeve over his hand and grabbed our hot plates to put down in front of us. Putting his dirty shirt in our food! Disquisting! He rudely smile as if laughing as he walked away! Then I see him again, coughing in his shirt in the same place were he stick it in my food! Plus was carrying around a dirty broom! Hope he at least washed his hands, but I doubt it since he had on a dirty Nike long sleeve hoodie! I’m Not pleased at. I talk to the manager, who takes nothing off my ticket. I have to call for him again, the third time… and BRIAN, finally gives us a discount! Wow really oh yeah and four game cards. NO, THANK I WONTNEEDTHEM, I will not be back! So after my employee discount, he finally blessed me with, I still spent 55.00! Nope not again! Horrible SERVICE! Should wear caboose shirts, not hoodies and free world clothes! Looks unprofessional, you couldn’t tell who were customer or who was servers.

Gross. Dingy. That about sums up the 50th Street Caboose. I probably would give it 1 star if it were not for the couple of thrilling games of air hockey and skeeball that I experienced while there. Other than that, the food is equal parts bland, sloppy and runny. The chips and salsa are ok, but everything else is just subpar. The carpets, walls and ceilings look as if they have not been cleaned in the two decades between my recent visit and the last time I went to this place. This place could use a good overhaul.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. We walked in and immediately walked out because it smelt like smoke to the extreme. I like my lungs so that’s a place I will never go to

Ended up here because of a deal I found on Groupon and I wanted to give it a try! My boyfriend and I went last Saturday night around 7:15…it was packed. The hostess told us that our wait time was an hour. We decided that we would wait the hour since we had nothing better to do. We didn’t realize that it had an arcade or was anything like that, very interesting. After our hour wait, we finally got seated. We looked at the menu and it was the most interesting thing since it had pretty much anything and everything on it: salads, Mexican food, chicken fried steak, hamburgers, pizza, etc. We didn’t know what to get! So we asked the people around us and everyone recommended the Mexican food. So my boyfriend and I decided that we’d split the combination(beef and chicken) fajitas for 2, which came with two sides; so we picked the Mexican rice and beans. While we waited for our food, we were served the complimentary chips and salsa. I thought they were pretty good! We had about 5 baskets of chips! The food did take a while to come out, so I am very glad that we had the chips… Finally, our fajitas came! It was an okay portion. The chicken was good, the beef wasn’t. The grilled vegetables that came with it were yummy but the tortillas were bland. The rice and beans were just average. For the price of the food and the wait time, I don’t think it was worth it. I would consider 50th Street Caboose to be just average. I might come back, I might not. I’ve had better fajitas and Mexican food in Lubbock. So maybe if I do go back, I’ll try something else other than Mexican food. Of course my boyfriend and I didn’t play any of the games, we just dined in the restaurant; but I think the place has a great concept: arcade games and food!

The food was okay. The service is what got me. We at around the bar area. Our waitress didn’t seem like she was too busy, however, I think I had a empty glass for majority of the night. Someone in our party didn’t get their food until after all of us had finished. They«accidentally» gave his food to another table. We didn’t even really get an apology. I would come again for the arcade games, but not the service.

We have been here since 6:45 called two days ahead for this party and twice today and we are barley getting our food at 9:37. We have 10 kids and 20 adults and this is not going smoothly at all. Our waitress tried her hardest but she just didn’t have enough help! We are very disappointed because we were assured this would all run smoothly and when you have 10 kids who haven’t ate since lunch waiting 3 hours it’s not pretty! I have had the same glass of water with no refills! My 3 year old never got her food and they forgot my nieces«6yr» order. My sister had to leave to work before the birthday song!!!

Visiting the area for the weekend and my Dad suggested we go here for lunch on a Saturday. We ordered the jalapeño popper dip which was a good size portion to share between 4 adults, but the chips were awful. They were soggy, drenched in oil, and stale. The burger patties lacked any flavor and were burned, and the fries were soggy and cold. Will have to think twice before coming here again in the future.

Well… where to start. First of all when we sit down the table next ti us complained about their food took a long time and was wrong. Then a bus boy cleaning the table next to us rake some crumbs off that table and they hit me on the leg. The burger was less than good and the fries were kind of soggy. The other two plates at the table were good and all enjoyed except me. I probably will not come back mainly cause their is better places to eat in Lubbock.

When I visit NM and TX, I try to consume as much Mexican food as possible. My mom and I went to 50th Street Caboose because she had a coupon. We each ordered the«Create your own Mexican combo» lunches that included a sour chile relleno and an enchilada. While this wasn’t authentic Mexican food, it was still a delicious meal, served hot(temperature). We had a basket of chips and salsa and our server was quick to refill those as they got low. Two down sides of the experience: 1) Getting drink refills almost took an act of congress, though we could see our server sipping his own soda and hanging out with other servers, so he was not particularly busy. 2) When we were seated in our booth, a little girl, about 3 years old, was playing in our booth. She had kicked her shoes off and was climbing all over the booth barefooted. Her mother and grandmother were in the booth that backed up to ours. We should have asked for different seating. The mother did not ask her daughter to leave our booth — we had to stand and wait for the child to decide to vacate on her own. Meanwhile, she found another booth and table to play in. Later in our meal, she came back for her shoes, which were under our table. No «Excuse me» etc. from the child or the mother… child merely climbed through our legs to retrieve her shoes. It’s hard to blame a 3 year old for now knowing any better, but surely the mother and grandmother should recognize that children need to sit at their own booth during a meal. If they don’t have that much self control, they probably don’t belong in a restaurant. They certainly don’t need to be running around, OR playing in a clean booth. That said, the hostess was friendly when we arrived, and when we left, and we would go back.
