Didn’t have a chance to rate the food. heard great things about this restaurant… put order in on Sunday afternoon around 1 pm… Sat by while other tables got served. .30 minutes went by… still no food… after seeing people being served well after we were seated. we called it a day… I haven’t been treated so badly ever in service in my lifetime!

I love this place! I always order their beef loc lac(shaken beef), with the special fried rice(with Chinese sausage and shrimp)! Adding chili oil over it all with the lemon/salt/pepper dip is all I could ever want in a meal!

I really wanted to give this place more stars but their foods doesn’t deserve it. I have heard so much a about this restaurant because it’s probably one of the old Cambodia restaurant around. We came here for the 1st time order a bunch of foods. We had the chicken feet salad, was horrible. The beef teriyaki was dry and plain. The fried rice are simple, nothing special. The stir fry frog with lemon grass was disappointed, they fry the frog before hand so it’s kind of taste weird. However, we love the green bean drink is very good, but a by pricy. I don’t think I will be back here. The customer service are great, friendly and helpful. So 2 stars for that.

We love Red Rose, and have been visiting once a week since we discovered it. The Lemongrass Chicken is one of our favorites. Not a glamorous place, but well worth the prices they are charging.

don’t eat here if you have food allergies, especially peanut allergen. They don’t care. You can keep assuring them to not put peanuts in your food and they’ll tell you there’s none. But once you get your food you’ll learn otherwise. Dont know why but my dad decided to order Pad Thai again for me from this place when i’ve told him not to anymore because of previous incidents where they still keep my peanut allergy in the food. Again, theres peanuts in them. Also, found hair in my dad’s food, unsanitary. Disgusting people and restaurant. Can barely speak English either. I guess they can’t understand English altogether because they KEEP leaving allergens in my food! Place should be shut down immediately.

Came here for a family reunion, we have no reservations but they accommodate us anyways. They combined 3 tables to fit all of us. They’re very friendly fast and the food was delicious, the broth in my bowl of noodles was very flavorful. I would recommend anyone to try this place out, good food good services.

FYI they use a LOT of fish sauce on the papaya salad. It’s fine when you cut it with lok lak or something else but hard to eat on its own, unless you LOVE fish sauce.

We came here for lunch on Easter and were seated immediately. We ordered the Special Lort Noodles with fish cake, squid and sea legs. We also ordered Seafood Rice Soup and Pad Thai with shrimp but no peanuts. The Lort noodles were on par with most other Malaysian restaurants. The Pad Thai noodles were a bit al dente but it tasted what you would get at a typical Thai restaurant. The Seafood Rice Soup was outstanding and our favorite. Definitely better what I can get at a typical Cantonese restaurant! For drinks, I ordered the Iced Coffee and daughter had the Pineapple Shake. The drinks were great. Service was very slow. It was very hard flagging a waitress down. The Lort noodles took a LONG time in getting to our table. I think they forgot it but I wouldn’t know because it was so hard flagging a waitress down! Always wanted to visit the Lowell area and try Cambodian food. Glad we did!

we went several times a while back and had no problem but the last time we went, we got passed over for cambodians and I mean MANY different parties. Clearly we were not being served and it was ok w the owner. Not cool. We even got take out and it was mushy. The shop next door has good drinks

I grew up going to this restaurant since it’s literally across the street from where I lived. THAT’S ABOUTTWENTYYEARSOFMYLIFE, BRO. If I’ve kept going to this restaurant, it must STILL be that good. My mom and I order their baw baw(rice soup) and seafood mee ka thung(Cambodian chow-fun) more times than I can remember. It’s a consistent fix and is never a real let-down. I’ve tried their pad thai and it challenges other Thai places I’ve been to. I hate it when pad thai is filled with sauce where the noodles become soggy/gross. Atmosphere wise, it’s stayed the same since I was little girl. Any upgrade to this restaurant has been minimum so every time I walk in, I feel like I’m in a time warp. Maybe that alludes to its charm.

Tables and chairs definitely need replacing but the food is good. Whenever I go to Boston to visit the family, my parents always take me here from some Phnom Penh Noodle soup. Staff here is pretty friendly and we never have to wait long for our food. Parking kinda sucks as they share a parking lot with other stores but there is also street parking if you’re lucky enough to find one.

After glancing through the menu, we placed our order with the young waitress and waited for our food. The clientele was mostly older Asian families compared to the younger clientele that Simply Khmer attracts. We ordered a couple of apps and 2 noodle dishes to share. One thing to remember is that most Cambodian/Vietnamese restaurants do not abide by the appetizer/entrée order. They will bring out whatever is ready first. Many times, we received our appetizers after our meals. In this case, both our appetizers and noodles were brought out the same time. The fried egg rolls was served with the sweet fish sauce. I would have preferred the sweet chili oil. It lacked filling and was mostly the wrapper. The fresh spring rolls were totally stuffed and thick. Many people skimp out on all the fresh herbs and ingredients but there was plenty of pork and spearmint in every bite. I still cannot fathom restaurants that call themselves Cambodian and cannot make a good plate of Mee Ka Thung. Our dish lacked flavor and was served on the colder side as if it was the first thing that was made on our order. The dish is available in 2 sizes«Small» for $ 8.00 or «large» for $ 10.00. I’m glad we went with the small because it was not great. We also shared a lort cha special. That was the best dish on our meal. The eggs were crispy and the thick noodles had flavor. The spicy fish sauce topped it off well. As expected, the bill was pretty cheap. For two apps and 2 entrees and tax, the total was $ 24.25. For more pics, visit

We love the food here. Our favorites are the chicken noodle soup, beef loc lak, crispy yellow noodles, and pad Thai. It’s not your typical restaurant service– the food comes out when it’s ready, not all together. The staff speaks very little English. You’ll probably wait a long time for your check. Don’t come here in a rush, enjoy the food and relax. :)

Coming from a house where we never went out to eat and all that is on TV is the cooking channel, I always compare to my mom’s cooking and they hit it. Great sour soup with beef. The beef with flat wide noodles was our favorite but we like the noodles a little crispy. The crispy ginger fish was perfect with a little hot sauce. Casual dining makes it easy but they could doll the place nicer by taking boxes away from the common areas and cleaning it up more so the environment feels nicer. I’ll be back when I’m craving some home cooked Cambodian food at a great price.

OK, so the first time I came here was with my parents, I hated it. Maybe because it was a busy Saturday morning or what but I can see them preparing my noodles and it just disgusted me. the second time I went with a friend, figured ill try the«mee-ka-thung» or chow foon whatever, it was good until a COCKROACH crawled out on the chop sticks and spoon holder on our table. i cried.

Ok, so this place has been down the street from my house for well over 5 years now — but today was the day I decided to try it. Nothing prompted me to other than the fact that the nearest restaurant was equally far away. Serendipity, if it were. Food My brother and I had pork vermicelli soup and special pad thai. Both were large of course, because we figured we’d go big(and bring it home if we had to). The soup was very flavorful, and you could tell that the broth has been cooking for a while(as it should when it comes to asian cuisine). One thing to note however, is the condiments on the table. They don’t use the conventional Sriracha(spicy) and hoisin sauce(sweet) here. So prior to putting it in your soup, you should check to see if it’s to your liking. The spicy sauce has a less spicy burn, whereas the hoisin sauce has a garlic/peanut buttery taste/smell to it. I have tried pad thai in many different restaurants around Lowell, and I must say this has got to be one of the best. First off, the portion is huge. I’m talking about feeds-two-people-for-ten-bucks-huge. The flavor is just right where it should be with the slightly sweet taste. The money-maker here though, is the quality in which it was prepared. The pad thai here has a dry-stir-fry style to it. This means that it retains it’s softness, but has a slight smoky flavor to it. The noodles are consistent, it isn’t too oily nor is it burnt. Many pad thai places just get it all wrong, and it turns out to be some kind of oily fiasco from a chinese buffet. Atmosphere Not much here. You have an L-shaped restaurant with the front for casual dining, and the back for larger groups. There’s a TV over the cashier that seems to be put to whatever channel the current guests like. I must note, that in the spring/summer this location is a hot-spot for people who use the park across the street. Every time I drive by, it’s consistently packed(maybe that’s why I was so hesitant to try it). Staff The staff is very accommodating, especially if you speak Khmer. They’ll chat with you while they’re doing their work if it’s not too busy. However, I am not Khmer so I’m limited to the basics like water and getting the check. Final Thoughts I would definitely like to visit this place again, soon. However, I need to brush up on my Khmer because their menu doesn’t have pictures. Definitely a recommended spot during Spring/Summer.
