Great comfort food. Very nostalgic. Reminded me of the type of place we used to go when I was little. The chicken pot pie had the flakiest crust and was all meat no veggies! Turkey croquettes were superb. Everything was so filling unfortunately we had no room for dessert. My critique: don’t call potatoes mashed. They are whipped. I questioned if they were real.

Upscale cafeteria food. 4 stars for the service, 2 stars for the food. My husband and I went on a Friday night so there should be no excuse for the cooks not to be on their«A game». My husband ordered the steak tips with mashed potatoes. The tips were cooked perfectly but had no taste. No hint of marinade at all. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was way over cooked to the point of being mushy. Obvious it was not cooked to order but had been held in a pot of hot water for a long time. Sauce was mediocre and the meatballs were tough. One of the worst spaghetti and meatballs I have ever had, and I love spaghetti and meatballs. Our waitress was the best part of the experience but due to poor quality of the food we won’t be back.

One of my go-to’s for when I’m craving home cooked, comfort but have no energy or time. The first thing I ever tried 3 – 4 years ago was the country friend chicken. And I’m not sure I’ve ever gotten anything else. I love that you get bacon and chives with your baked potato. BF loves the croquettes. Price is just right.

You have to come here!!! The food is to die for. The owner and his wife are amazing people. They don’t just hire servers they know that the ladies are the front faces of the business. Every local knows every waitress name. They are like family. The food is so good. I have had everything. The seafood casserole is always succulent and tasty. The chef usually adds too much butter in my opinion but can be easily modified by telling the waitress not much better. Chicken pot pie is so good all white meat breast chicken and the heavy cream sauce. No need to add any vegetables and the pastry puff on top is the perfect thing to soak up all of the extra. You must try the pies before you leave. Really don’t leave with out trying one. It’s backed in house and fresh. People in Lowell and the surrounding areas are lucky to have this restaurant in their back door. It’s sooooooo good

Definitely a delicious meal every time you go! I personally always get the shepards pie or chicken broccoli and ziti. Home made food, great vegetables, and friendly staff! I love going here, but will admit i avoid going during 4 – 6PM. I usually go for the later end of dinner.

Tonight was the first time my wife and I tried this restaurant. She had the sirloin Berger and I had the marinated tips. The meals were cooked just like we ordered them. One thing that I liked was there were multiple choices vegetables to choose from for our meals. The wait staff was excellent. We have added this restaurant to our date night list.

I’ve heard about this place for years, but the location is not too convenient from where I live. Finally tried it and was impressed. Very pleasant dining room, no loud music playing, pleasant and knowledgeable wait staff, and delicious food. The menu is a little limited IMHO, but that may be so that the chef/cooks can concentrate on the items they do feature. If I have any complaint at all, it was that we were asked«how is everything?» by our waitress three times, and roving managers/supervisors twice. I appreciate that they want to make sure everything is OK, but asking once would have been enough since we said the food was delicious the first time we were asked. Come to think of it, I guess that is not really much of a fault: they do a good job and want to take care of their customers.

This place is amazing. My boyfriend and I go in here at least once a week. The staff is excellent and always warming and welcoming. The food is excellent and so is the service. any plate you decide to get will not disappoint you at all. I always recommend Good Thymes to anyone who is ever looking for a awesome place to dine in and even out! their take out was just as good as their dining in meal.

This place has comfort food galore! Chop Suey, chicken pot pie, turkey dinner, pasta, you name it, they pretty much have it. Good sized servings and giant desserts too. We really enjoyed it. There was a wait, even for lunch at 1pm on a Thursday. Yup, it’s full of blue haired ladies and ROMEO’s(Retired Old Men Eating Out…) but with age comes wisdom & these folks know a good deal when they see one. Or eat one. If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth a stop.

Great place if you like to see the crowd in their 70s and the food from 70s cooked to please people in their 70s. If you live in 2015, it feels like hospital cafeteria or nice assisted living facility. As an extra convenience, you can find a cemetery right across the street from this place.

I was amazed how good the baked seafood was. My mother is a frequent flyer and she recommended it to me. I laughed telling her that I don’t eat in Lowell. She was right. .very good. Waitress Lou Anne was very good and quite a character… Will go again. owner came out to say hi also. Very busy place. only reason not 5 stars was the prime rib was a little cold according to the family members who got it but they said it was excellent after warming.

My BF and I went there for the 1st time a few weeks ago and fell in love with it !! The food was incredible and the servers were all just so nice !! The owner heard it was our first time there and she actually came over to our table to welcome us ! The restaraunt was so beautifully decorated both inside and out for the holidays and the dessert case held just about every(homemade) treat you could ever ask for. We are actually going back there again tonight to eat and this time, I am getting that huge piece of gingerbread I spotted on our last trip !! Cant wait !! check this place out, you will LOVEIT !!

My dad(the seafood lover) totally got me hooked on this place. Most times when I go here I will order the baked shrimp/scallop combo plate. Wow — so.damn.delicious!!! Even the side dish options(you know, the stuff at most places where you might just leave it there because you were too busy with the seafood main event) are really tasty. Their carrots taste amazing and the rice is really good too. Oh man, my stomach is growling just writing this review. I usually am a seafood snob(thanks Dad!) and this place meets my standards for satisfying my cravings. You will see me here again and again!

Because of the great Unilocal reviews, I decided to stop by here for some lunch. The minute I walked in, I was greeted by three friendly faces and next to them I saw a deli fridge full of AMAZING looking pies. They saw me oogling the pies and told me that all their desserts are made from scratch. Unfortunately, I am avoiding carbs until September so I won’t get to try their yummy creations until then. Since I am in a low-carb diet, I ordered their porkchop with a side if veggies. My porckchop came out really fast and was hot. It was perfectly cooked too(nicely seared in the outside; tender and moist in the inside). My veggies were not overcooked and tasted great with my chops. My server was attentive even though her section was extremely busy. She regularly checked on me to make sure that I am happy with my meal and kept my glass of Diet Coke full during my entire meal and maintained her jolly, friendly nature despite the fact that she had to get me Diet Coke at least 5 times. She has her system down and was very efficient. I really like the family vibe to this restaurant. This is definitely going to be my favorite lunch spot when I am in the Lowell area.
