We hired Kim Graham 7 months before K.D.‘s 1-star review was written [EDIT: The 1-star review seems to have been taken down since I originally posted this]. After discovering it, we discussed it with Kim, and chose to stay with her anyhow. Our experiences with her for our October wedding were perfectly fine. At our first meeting, Kim was warm, helpful, very aware of our budget($ 3k for 120 people), and had plenty of creative ideas to stretch that money as much as possible. Once we had set up the basics and put down a deposit, we didn’t hear much from her, and sometimes it would take a week or so to get an email reply. However, once the wedding was less than a month away, Kim defintely gave us more attention. The reception itself went smoothly. Kim’s staff(sans the person who seemed to cause so much trouble in that bad review) arrived 1.5 hours early and set up all the tables exactly to our specifications. The food we picked(buffet-style with flank steaks) was tasty and plentiful — good enough for our reception but nothing you would find in a 5-star restaurant(but for us and our budget, this was FINE). It’s true that her staff did do some hefty drinking as the night progressed(one was physically stumbling out of the venue at the end), and they did dance with our guests, but this did not affect the job that they did. Our reception was on the casual end of the scale, so guests were more amused than anything else. The«best fit» for hiring Thyme Savor as a wedding caterer would be a couple on a budget who doesn’t sweat the details. For us, Thyme Savor was just what we needed!
