Love the atmosphere, the service and the food. Friday before Christmas, packed to the gills and food and service were excellent. I had the Cajun grouper on rye — grouper was delicious. Accompanied by tater tots — who doesn’t love tots! Others at our table had the salmon, spaghetti and meat balls, grouper fingers, and the Kirby burger. Clean plates all around. Started with the pretzel sticks — yum! Great beer selections.

Good food and atmosphere I would recommend avoiding draft beer though. They need to clean their tap lines more often

Friday 6pm with kids. Quick to get seat. Nice having different TV choices. Menu choice is very good and has some unusual choices. Overall it” was a little loud but nice open area to relax over dinner. Service is always very good at this place!

Good selection of food and drinks! Had fried fish and Seratoga chips although i hope to come back and try the BBQ pork and the burgers. Place was pretty slow for a Saturday night. Hopefully will pick up as the weather gets better. Wish they had a pool table and games! Stopped in last Saturday for a burger. This place easily has the best burger in Loveland. Next up will be the Bbq pork!

Fun, relaxed, neighborhood joint. My husband loved his pulled pork sandwich; I was so-so on the chicken tenders. I found them to be a bit over-cooked/overly crunchy and a little lacking in seasoning. The accompanying fries were good – nothing super memorable, but solid. Our server was friendly, but hard to find when we were ready for our check. Good selection of menu items; would come back if we lived in the area, but not make a special trip.

Seems Kirby’s is becoming the place my friends prefer for a quick meal after work, so I returned a few days ago. Ordered the same burger but upgraded to fries instead of chips. Worth the small upcharge. Food was improved. Hot and tasty, still needed more salt but better than the first visit. If only the chairs were more comfortable.

I love the peel and eat shrimp, and crave the pulled pork sandwich with Saratoga chips! It is a great place for an after work happy hour, cheering on your favorite team or bring the kids for a bite.

We love coming here. Decent selection of draft beer. I love the bar layout. Casual atmosphere if that is what you’re looking for. Try the chicken wrap.

Great local spot! The staff is first rate, food is good but portions a little small for the price. I highly recommend Kirby’s over going to a chain.

We come over here every month or so to have a beer or two after tennis, and I have to say after 5 visits or so, I’m a semi-fan of Kirby’s. This is the old Sleepy Hollow restaurant, the place that used to have the Christmas lights inside the restaurant year ’round. So here’s the Good– Draft Beer selection is very good to excellent by almost any standard with 12 – 15 beers on tap and a nice clean bar atmosphere. The bar staff is friendly and helpful. The patrons are generally local residents or riders on the adjacent Bike Trail, both of whom are looking for a burger and a brew… They also have 4 or 5 sweet 55″ flat screen TV’s spread across the backbar. Kirby’s does very nicely for a local watering hole. Great little place for pre-game and the nice bartenders make you feel appreciated. BTW– 100 yards off the Loveland Bike Trail, so a cold draft summertime beer in Branch Hill is doable while you’re still wiping the sweat off your brow from the long ride.

There are some definite pros and cons to this restaurant. Walking in, we were greeted warmly by the hostess and showed to a table by the windows overlooking Bridge Road. The table seating was not comfortable enough for a leisurely dinner — hard metal chairs and wooden topped tables. The music was extremely loud and as such, diners at other tables had to shout to each other. The table behind us(party of 2) mentioned it to their waitress, who offered to turn it down but it never happened. The food was very tasty — I recommend the grouper basket and the side order of broccoli was fresh and delicious, not overcooked and bland like in other restaurants. The kid’s menu was okay, my daughter preferred the applesauce to her pasta but that may just be the 3 year old in her. My husband had a nice looking burger but the lettuce and tomato looked like it had seen better days. Our waitress did not tell us the specials, etc. like the other waitresses around us but she was nice, kept our beverages filled, and brought us extra napkins without being asked. Parking lot is a bit difficult to navigate so if you have a big car, get there early or park on the street.

Kirby’s is a great place for a beer and a bite at a pretty reasonable price. As a precursor to this review, I have only ever eaten at the bar, so I cannot comment on the table service. They always have varied and eclectic craft beers on tap which is a big reason we like going to Kirby’s. Their menu is your typical American fare, but everything we have had to date has been really good(my favorite so far was the veggie sandwich). The ladies working the bar have always provided helpful and friendly service. It’s great for groups– have been here a couple of times with large groups and we have all had a blast. Not fancy by any means but if you like beer and want to grab a quick bite in Loveland I would definitely give it a try!

Quick, easy, painless review… Drinks are very expensive. French Onion Soup is DABOMB as the urban folk say. All other food is mediocre as us pretentious white folk say. Three stars for the French onion soup and the waitress with the big booty.

I went to Kirby’s for the first time the other. It was a lunch with a few co-workers. The restaurant looked nice and was clean. It had more of a bar feel than a restaurant with the dining area being fairly small. There are a number of TV’s throughout the establishment for the sports enthusiasts. I had the«gourmet» grilled cheese with chips and a cup of soup. The sandwich was very good(as described by Ed in his review). It was a work lunch, so I could not try any of the selection of craft brews. My co-workers seemed to enjoy their food, but when I asked their thoughts afterwards the response was luke warm. The service we received was very good. Our waitress was attentive and cordial. I gave it a 3 star rating as the atmosphere, service, and food were fine, but my co-workers luke warm reaction held me back from giving it 4 stars. I didn’t have any issues with it being loud as Steve alluded to, but then it was lunch during the work week. Like I said it has more of a bar like feel and the dining/bar area is fairly intimate so I imagine on a busy night it could be fairly loud. I think I will definitely make a return visit for dinner some time with my wife. I would like to try something else off the menu and sample some of the beet selection. I will update my review based on our experience.

Loveland has a new restaurant, Kirby’s, which opened just a few weeks ago in the old Sleepy Hollow space. Not much has changed, as far as I can remember, on the outside of the building, but the inside is much different from the old space that used to be a Christmas celebration every day of the year. Truth be told, I never went inside Sleepy Hollow but I heard enough stories to feel like I had. We arrived around six this past Friday evening and though the parking lot was nearly full it was no problem getting a table. Perhaps there are a few too many tables on the inside as it felt a bit cramped and was really loud. Our service was adequate, though we did have a fairly long wait between drink and food orders. That was the only complaint I would have as far as the service goes and a manager even stopped by at some point to see how we were doing. Also there is a pretty good list of craft beers available, another bonus in my book. For dinner I went with the gourmet grilled cheese — a double decker of three different cheeses, tomato slices, and grilled bacon. It is served with homemade Saratoga chips and a pickle spear($ 8.95). Overall I was happy with my choice. I wish I would have asked about the bread, as I would much rather have it served on something other than plain ol’ toasted white. I’ve never had a double decker grilled cheese before, but it worked well. All of the bread was crisp and the cheese was very gooey. The Saratoga chips were also good. My wife may have ordered the best dish we sampled that night, the grouper finger basket — fresh grouper fillet cut into thick strips, breaded and deep fried. Served with fries($ 11.95). The serving of fish was large, enough for all at the table to have a piece of their own. I’m not normally much of a fish eater, but this was very good! The also offer a grouper sandwich that comes blackened that is likely very tasty too. My mother went the sandwich and soup combo, selecting a half blackened caesar wrap and french onion soup($ 9.95). I didn’t get the chance to taste any of her food, but I didn’t hear any complains from her. My dad had the ravioli creole — pasta filled with sausage, peppers, onions and a blend of cheeses tossed in their homemade creole sauce($ 14.95). He really seemed happy with his choice and was the first to clean their plate. Despite some potential issues with the restaurant size and layout, the food at Kirby’s was good. My parents live in Loveland, so I’m sure we will be back to sample more from Kirby’s in the future, though it will be hard to overtake Paxton’s and The Works as our go-to spots out that way.
