Love all the people on the farm side, except the manager. He is an a$$ to the customers and his employees!

I had the most ridiculous experience today trying to return an unused item I bought here I will avoid this place altogether in the future. The young gal I dealt with had to call someone from the ranching department because she was too clueless to figure out it was totally unopened and unused. She wasted so much of my time it was beyond ridiculous on an item worth a whopping six bucks. Are the requirements to work here no common sense maybe?

It can be fun to go to, but the prices are always pretty ridiculous. This review is specifically on the shoe department however. Jax is one of the only local places to find the shoe brands I like so I spend the extra cash. I went in looking for a pair of sandals, found a pair and tried it on. The lady working in the department was helping another customer. She finally noticed me slipping a sandal on and came over. I asked,“do you have this style in any other size?” I pulled it off to hand it to her and she yanked it out of my hand and said,” nope”, then said it’s,” too small for you”. Then without saying anything more she turned and walked directly to the other customer and said. Here try this I think it’s your size. WTF, I was so appalled. You just lost a 200 $ sale and I will not be back.

This store is such a great place to shop. It has so many unique things including a coffee shop and a coffee/tea section with fresh choices where toucan grind your beans. Unique stock of dishes/kitchen products. Many different treats you can’t find anywhere else! Love it.

So I was with my family and the my mom was being fitted for some boots here. She was solicited for money by the guy that was helping, him asking for about a twenty dollar tip. I spoke with the people up front upon check out, and they told me that wasn’t kosher. The service was okay, but why is asking for money suddenly a full time job, even for people who have jobs?!?

I love Jax! I shop here for all of my pet stuff, mainly for horses. They have a great selection of everything. Their prices are pretty good, sometimes a bit high but I would rather pay more at jax then less anywhere else! I’ve always been happy with their staff and products.

Jax was one of my favorite places to get outdoor gear. However the owner recently made a stand on gun right issues that left me with a bad taste in my mouth. They have refused to carry or sell and AR-15 of other types of sporting rifles. I purchased my first sporting rifle from Jax, and now I refuse to shop there. Either sell rifles or don’t sell them at all. This is a silly little political statement, and you are getting the opposite effect from me.

Love this place! Huge selection of «you name it» and well stocked. And, you can take your dog in with you. Friendly and extremely helpful. My new home away from home :)

Really super helpful staff working here. I love this store. So many goodies, never enough money or places to put them all.

I love JAX. If you can’t find it elsewhere you will probably find it here. JAX is a strange mix of gourmet foods, sporting goods, tools, fireplaces, tack, upscale shoes and clothing not to mention urban military surplus. I love to go just to be amazed by the diversity and eclectic mix of products in one place. It’s fascinating. I don’t buy much because they are very proud of their wares but if you dig you can find unbelievable bargains. This place blows my mind!

Ok, it’s kinda funny to walk into a place that has horse corrals and power tools just down the aisle from $ 150 fashion shoes. Here’s my return exchange experience at JAX: I bought a sweater here in March of ’09 and didn’t wear it too often because it was shedding so much. Around Christmas, I saw they had the same sweater again, so I brought mine back and explained the shedding, they let me exchange it for a new one. Well, I didn’t put on the new one for a few weeks, but when I did, I found the sleeves were way way way too long, so I brought that sweater back and explained the whole dang story and they let me exchange THAT sweater for a smaller size. No hassles. No problem. What a fricking fantastic store!
