I’ve been trying to contact this bar for a private event but been giving the run arounds by staff, they tell me it’s a GM who addresses that, but the staff can’t seem to get the mysterious GM to contact me back. I thought bars was in the business for to make money? This is very un Professional and I hope this isn’t a reflection on how business is handled in Louisville Ky. I’m from Charlotte and I’ve even flew to Louisville on a Saturday to hopefully catch the GM or a high ranking manager of some type and what do you know, GM isn’t in we will take your number down again and pass it along again. I see why this place isn’t five star thanks for you guys time wonder if I will ever hear from the GM before the place closes like most of the bars at 4th st live?

I’m not big on the club scene, so I’m not sure how this stacks up on everything Louisville has to offer. Still, when I went here recently for a friend’s birthday, I had a good time. You can enter from 4th Street, and that entrance is quite posh. A dark foyer and stairwell are decorated with dark paint and wallpaper, and a couple of oversized chairs covered in velvet. There was an attendant(not a bouncer, think more of a hostess) at the entrance. I was lucky enough to be behind the velvet ropes on the night I visited, and I can’t say enough about how much fun that was. The bottle service included plenty of mixers for drinks, and we had several tasty snacks to last into the night. The Pepper-Jack Cheese balls were a huge hit, along with the buffalo wings. That VIP type of treatment was a once in a lifetime experience for me, which is part of what made it so much fun. I ventured out onto the main dance floor once when I went to the restroom. The main dance floor was chaos. Aside from being decorated like some basement where glow-in-the dark paint of all colors exploded, it was crowded, with bright lazer-like lights flashing around everywhere. It was a complete departure from the entrance of the place, which makes Marquee look so swanky. Speaking of the restrooms that I went across to visit, they were very dark inside; I thought the lights were off and then realized that there were purple bulbs in the light sockets. For ambience? Not to assault the drunk, dilated pupil with brightness? Who knows.

Seems pretty cool overall. I stopped in for a party thrown by a tech vendor. There was a large flight of stairs, at the top to the right was a darkish room with a bar. Double doors on the left led to another bar, bridal party was in there whooping it up and someone had left beach balls all over. Immediately started«accidentaly» hitting each other and everyone in sight with those while the DJ spun some old Rob Base &DJEZ Rock. Eventually a rock band set up and started doing their thing. Pretty nice place overall, not sure about handicapped access though. I would def go back.
