The Jeffersontown Sam’s Club #8111 on 1401 Alliant Ave. | Jeffersontown, KY40299n(502) 267‑0432 |(502) 267‑4367 — Pharmacy |(502) 267‑2082 — Optical is my favorite in Louisville(we have two). First of all it is the awesome Pharmacy staff lead by Pharmacy manager — Chelsea Tyree. With her lead, Trish, Brenda and Vijay(who is currently on assignment at the corporate office), I always feel well-taken care of and well-informed with my medication. If something looks slightly out of whack(especially price), they catch it for me and spend their valuable time researching and trying to get to the bottom of the issue. Although we moved further away from this Sams and we are surrounded by closer Pharmacies, I keep a majority of my monthly refills here because they make me feel safe. Second there are little things, like Miss Rosie who checks our baskets when we leave, she is always nice and pleasant. I’m so glad she can use a highlighter again. The whole inkstamp thing looked awfully cumbersome and then they added a mini-clipboard, trying to help and I could only imagine trying to stand on my feet all day, hold that thing and count groceries… but I digress… the highlighter seems to have returned! The many other people on the staff whom I do not have their names memorized, but have always been nice and taken time to say hello or tell me about free cupcakes(very important information)!! I have visited the other location a couple times. The vibe is definitely not the same. For some reason, as I was self-checking out, the clerk must have decided I looked like a psychotherapist because she started pouring out her heart about how the management and clientele acted. It was not a positive interaction. I was very uncomfortable, and although five minutes closer to my home, I will gladly spend the extra 10 minutes to avoid a situation like that again. Why not five stars? Well it’s a big box store, not a five star restaurant. I like their staff and selection. Not too crazy about any Sam’s fresh meat department… not that it is dirty or anything… please DONOT think that… it is the selection itself. I have ALWAYS preferred a competitors(for the past 20 years since I lived in Georgia, there are some things you cannot change), much of it has to do with packaging. The produce guy was really nice other day when we talked about the berry shortage(oh my!) and we had a good laugh. That’s what I mean about the vibe, the people seem to enjoy working there and I have not heard complaints, I’m in and out of there several times a month for the past five years, so it would seem I would hear something. We don’t eat a lot of frozen food or bakery items anymore, but their selection is good. I like to buy some of their canned veggies when I can’t get fresh — good prices… so that’s about it. Gas prices are usually good, that and the Pharmacy is why I get a lot of check-ins here, they keep me coming back! One suggestion is to make the Pharmacy bigger. There are three people working in that little area… I don’t know how they don’t trip on each other… just my personal observation :).

If you’ve ever wanted to buy a 40-gallon drum of mayonaisse, this is your place. I literally went through this store and got seven items. SEVEN. All groceries. And it totaled at $ 120. Now, granted, these groceries will last me 1 – 2 months. So in the end I saved money, I suppose. Not to mention, those tasty samples kind of made it worth it. They also have pretty decent discount clothes as well. I have an orange fleece my parents Christmased at me from here a few years back. I’ve worn it every winter since and it’s still in great shape. I would probably come here again, but maybe just once a month or so. Which kind of seems like how it’s designed.

When you check out is the worst. The three women that are over 70 do there best. But when you have to stand in long lines got 20 minutes. Makes us mad. Then you turn around and there is a man and woman standing at the management stand that are in there 30 to 40’s.They never help. They don’t use there price scanner like other stores. They just stand there. At the tobacco stand if the woman is on break management will not cover it so it remains locked. So then you have to walk up to the management stand and tell them that you need help back there. You wouldn’t believe the attitude I always get when I asked them for help. Sorry I bothered you. I think this store is run poorly by management, because they never help out. But all the other workers are nice and kind. Stocked very well But wait time is the worst. It’s almost not worth it We are thinking of getting a Costco membership when our expires

I was amazed when we went to Sam’s today. Two days before Christmas and they were packed with people but, they were not our of any products. The shelves were full and there were employees around to help if needed. The only problem was having to stand in line to check out. Just a little longer than usual but, they do try to move as fast as possible. They continue to impress me.

They have very few gluten free foods to choose from and their vegetarian/vegan options are only a few Morningstar Farms items in the freezer section. For a club warehouse in 2015, this is pretty sad.

The worst club I have ever been to. If you need a customer service be prepared to wait for 30 min not less. If you want to exit the club there is always a line and you have to wait for 15 min. Terrible customer service!

This is usually a good location but on my most recent trip in they had this big iPad display and my husband decided that he was going to get one for valentines as my 1st gen one is finally starting to die. They had tags saying they were available and let us pay for at it at check out. So when we went to pick it up one would think they would have them available. NOPE. That was disappointing and they were not really helpful about it at all. This is usually a really good store. Always high quality meats.

Sam’s club is my favorite place on earth! I shop there for my family. We buy in bulk to stay thrifty ans Sam’s never lets me down. Sometimes it is crowded but usually worth the frustration. My only complaint is that during high volume time frames they do not always have enough people running the checkout lanes so those days you can plan to wait 20 minutes easily.

It’s SAM’S…not really much to tell. I use them for baby wipes and some office supply. Other than that there really isn’t much there for us. They offer NOORGANICS!

Love this place we can get groceries to last a month for us and my two daughters in college. They have some of the necessary foods for home and dorm room. Get a lot of the bulk items that will save money in the long run. I hate shopping so this makes my life easier.

Pleasssse, oh god of thunder Zeus, do not strike my area like the Elysian Fields and cause a power outage. My freezers are full of frozen Hor d’oeuvres and desserts just purchased for my Derby party. Massive amounts of meatballs, mini quiches, crème puffs, mini chocolate eclairs, Derby style pies,(just to name a few) are all packed into my freezers. Sam’s Club you make entertaining large crowds so easy. I browsed all the frozen areas for easy to fix party items. I picked up heavy duty plastic utensils and a variety of non-refrigerated items. The ease of shopping, checking out and loading up my car made this a five star experience. I’ll be back after Derby to do my household shopping.

As much as I hate Walmart I seem to not be able to quit SAMs club. I know, same thing but I just can’t help it. The staff is friendly, helpful, clean store. Check out is only downside. We were there about 7 and there were only 3 lines open and we were 6+ deep but after we finally got to the cashier they opened tire line and two others.

It’s Sam’s Club. Just about the same as all the others.
