I fn love this place. I’m no queen or king, but everyone was super nice and no record scratched when the«straits» walked in. Had maybe the most fun I’ve had at a bar in a long time.

A very friendly local bar. I’ve been several times on karaōke nights, and it’s a laid-back atmosphere that doesn’t get crazy. As other reviewers have mentioned, it’s pretty small, but I’ve never felt like it was crowded. It may not be the place to meet the future love of your life, as it seems most people there are with a crowd of friends or someone already special to them. The karaōke DJ is great and has come up with an excellent solution to keeping up with the times– youtube karaōke-style videos! So almost any song you could want is available to sing. When we went for a friend’s birthday, the bartender gave her a sparkly tiara to wear all night, which was so nice. There is no cover, which is good because I’m not sure what you’d be paying a cover for. Again, it’s a lovely place, but it’s really a venue to hang out with people you like– you ARE the entertainment =)(well, you and the sexy pictures on the wall, which take most people about four visits to notice) CASHONLY, but the drinks are very reasonable. There’s a bucket of beer they sell for only five dollars(around a half-gallon). I’ve never felt unsafe there or walking to my car on Preston, and the proximity to White Castle is just damn genius. I give it four stars instead of five because it’s not the type of place you’ll be just dying to go, other than the fact that it’s a great homey place to group up with your favorite people. That’s not to say it doesn’t have personality, but it is definitely more of a venue than an event. And we’re glad to have it!

I went with some lady-lovin’ ladies for karaōke. No cover, drinks are less expensive and better made(aka: stronger) than at Connections, but pricier and weaker than many other places I frequent. Cash only. Only one stall in the bathroom(I was told«because it’s a lesbian bar»…so shouldn’t there by like 2x as many stalls since there are all ladies there?) After about 5 karaōke songs, they stop and play about 3 dance songs. So things, from a karaōke standpoint, move kind of slowly. Also they have very little in the ways of «current» songs for karaōke… like, you would probably be hard pressed to find something from later than the late 90s. And I only felt marginally out of place, as possibly the sole straight person there… but it was a good time and I got to hang out with some friends. So… yay!

To my knowledge, this is the only predominantly lesbian bar in Louisville. The drinks are average priced plus specials are written on a board behind the bar. There are three rooms plus an outdoor space. One of the side rooms has a couple of pool tables while the other side room is for dance parties and special stuff. The bar seems to have a lot of events on the weekends to draw out a crowd. I’ve only been a couple of times, but I haven’t lived here that long. Both times I saw mostly women but a few guys. The age of the crowd ranged from early 20’s to someone old enough to use a walker(I say this because she actually had a walker). There is a lot of space and a pretty good selection of songs on the jukebox. When it gets busy there are extra bartenders.
