Peace, Love & Juice Elite Party

Amazing event and such a refreshing and interesting venue!
Chase and the gang at Life Bar rocked out the raw food! Any original skepticism I had about the «hippie snacks» vanished as soon as I sampled my first smoothie. Chase definitely knows what he’s doing, merging delicious and healthy in a super fun way. My favorites were the raw-​violi and the almond cookies… I will for sure be back to Life Bar for the food when the new menu is released. And the Coconut White Russians blew my mind — I don’t get to indulge in this tasty treat often because of the typical dairy content, but was amazed with the flavor and totally happy with the cocktails. I really wish these were always on the menu!
The gifts were great, and I loved the personalized notes in the themed gift bags quoting our own reviews with a sweet note from the community manager. What a thoughtful touch!

The smoothies we sampled were delicious. Like Jessica L. my favorite was the Reishi Cappuccino. The food, while not my daily cup of tea, was interesting and good. I liked the not-​really-​pizza pizza.
And those coconut white russians were pretty fab!

I’ve been to a few official Unilocal parties, but this is the first I can recall that served glasses of hangover cure without the hangover. Life Bar should do well in the heart of Bardstown Road with its delicious juices — all raw and natural ingredients. Although it does have one thing in common with Red Bull, namely that everything seems to contain ingredients I’ve never heard of. I’m just going to have to assume reshi and eucomia are fancy words for pixie dust.
It’s hard not to dig peace & love, especially since we skipped right over the patchouli. Thanks, Megan!

As another party guest pointed out, «it’s not an Elite event without cocktails.» This time we were getting delicious drinks… that were NUTRITIOUS?!
LifeBar is organic and/​or locally sourced and totally raw. Kind of «far out» but oh-​so awesome. The food was totally unexpected and awesome. I look forward to returning to get those recipes from Chase. It was a little bit tight of a venue for the party, but I imagine the space working very nicely for its actual purpose.
My favorite drink of the night was the cold Reishi Cappuccino (from the online menu: «Cacao powder Maca protein base with our blood strengthen immune building mix Reishi and He Shou Wu») — chocolatey and earthy and silky, with a bunch of health benefits (conveniently found on a guide alongside the menu inside the store)… which I theorize will be an excellent PMS tonic. My boyfriend supports me finding out.
