I was really excited to try Omagi for the first time. I wanted to get rid of my lighter pieces from a previous balayage I had professionally done in Florida at another Aveda salon. I went with a newer stylist/younger boy who unfortunately didn’t ooze with confidence. Which obviously would make anyone feel uncomfortable. I am a brunette with medium length hair and again, needed an all over color. Simple right? It took him 2 in a half hour to put the color on my head and four bowls of color. I could NOT believe how long it took him. I was growing so incredibly impatient and angry all at the same time. All and all, I will not go back. Wasn’t worth it. Especially my time. I also didn’t appreciate him using so much color on me to jack the price up.

Fantastic atmosphere and incredibly polite staff! Everyone I interacted with were so nice. Jessica cut and styled my hair, and did an amazing job! This was my first visit to their salon. I told her I like kind of funky, textured cuts and I took no pictures in with me so she was pretty much on her own. She did a seriously fabulous cut! Very detailed and unique, I’ve never had one like it before. She was very nice and a delight to chat with while she worked on my hair, I will definitely be a return customer!

I’ve only been here once to get my eyebrows done, but I have never been happier with a salon experience. Not only did they do an amazing job with my brows, but the salon is so beautiful and the staff is SO friendly. It’s also a non-tipping salon(which saves you money), and if you ever aren’t happy with your service, they’ll either redo it or refund you. I am so happy with them and will definitely be returning.

This is the best salon in Louisville I went to another place where they really messed up my hair they turned it green it was God awful so I found this salon and thank the lord I did they not only fixed my color but I ended up with the most amazing haircut I have ever gotten plus whatever the deep conditioner they used really made my hair feel healthy again I also got a free message it comes with the services you receive it was just amazing I would have given them a 10 star if I could I thought the prices were good and the staff could not have been nicer this is my new place to come I’m so excited that I found a place I absolutely love and the best part is they don’t take tips at all so you end up saving money thanks guys for providing such wonderful services I can’t wait to come back especially for my free massage Thank you Kim T

I just got home after an amazing experience at Omagi! My family and I just moved to the Louisville area & I knew I needed a touch up(partial highlights and a cut). I had a decision to make, either I could drive up to NKY or find a new local salon. Neither was something I wanted to do. I am so glad I decided to not drive 140 miles round trip. My hair and my daughter’s hair looks absolutely amazing and this was probably the most relaxing salon experience I have ever had. The people that work there are so nice and the little extras are what really got me. The shoulder & neck massage to start & the hand massage while my stylist washed my hair were just what I needed. I can’t wait for my 7 week appointment.

I have been to this salon three times for a brow wax and each time I was a walk-in without an appointment. The third time upon checking out I was requested to pay $ 30.00 and I paid $ 20.00 the last two times, which is the listed price for this service displayed at the counter in the front of the salon. When I asked why I was being charged $ 30.00 instead of $ 20.00 I was told I had the wax done by an esthetician so it is $ 10 more. I said I did not ask for an esthetician I only walked in and asked for a brow wax and that is all. After I said this and also said I paid $ 20 the last two times, the price was adjusted to $ 20 because I spoke up and was visibly upset. It’s not so much the price that upset me(although I think $ 30 is a little overboard for a brow wax) it is the fact that no one bothered to say anything until I went up to pay. It made me feel as if they were trying sneakily take advantage of me. I also felt uncomfortable after I had to speak up about the price. The price should have been discussed as soon as I was taken back for the wax if it was going to differ from the list price.

New to the Lousiville area so I thought I’d check out this spa for a massage. Not really a spa atmosphere at all. Small room, just an ok foot soak, but the massage therapist was pretty educated and took the time to work on my sore spots. Receptionist was kind of snotty and not very friendly or welcoming. Not sure if he was having an off day or what… Haven’t had a haircut, so I can’t speak for the hair services. Non-tipping salon. Probably won’t be back here, I think Z Salon is better for Aveda product and services.

I have been going to this salon for over a year now, and have always been pleased with the service I got. My stylist does an excellent job with my hair. I’ve never gotten a bad haircut from her. Granted, it is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I’m fussy about my hair, so I’m willing to pay a little more for the good service. I also got a free make-up consultation one time while I was there, and enjoyed that. The woman who did my make-up was quite friendly and helpful, and I did end up buying a product or two based on her advice. I’m a big lover of Aveda products anyway, so it was all good! I have yet to get my hair colored here, so I cannot speak to the difficulties with having different people working on your hair… personally I don’t think I would have an issue with it myself. I’d rather have two experts working on my hair, than a single person who might be good at one or the other, but not necessarily at both. However, I do agree that a blow-out should be part of the service, and not charged extra for such, regardless of whether you get a cut or a color… or both. I also cannot say that I have ever seen a lot of hair around or gotten the feeling of a dirty salon while there. I’m also impressed by how the salon staff will go out of their way to communicate with me — I am Deaf and thus I don’t use a regular phone. Staff have no problems with making appointments for me via text messaging, or contacting me by text to remind me of my upcoming appointment. That’s called Equal Communication Access. This salon not only believes in it, but practices it too! That rates high in my book.

I am SO disappointed with this salon. I wanted to like it as I have been an Aveda employee and customer for 10 years. New to the area and looking for someone that I can go to that I trust. When making my appointment they said they departmentalized their salon so they have hair stylists and colorists. I work a lot(7 days a week) so it’s difficult enough to get one person that is available to do my hair, let alone two! So they found me someone that could do both and made my appt. for last night. When I got there, they told me they had two people to do my hair. One for color. One for cut. I was livid, but was in desperate need of a cut and color so figured I would try it out. I did not like being shuffled between people. I called to find out about making an appt. to get just a color next month… they charge to blow out your hair an extra $ 20.00 if you only get a color and not a cut also. COME on! That is an expensive service and should come with a blow out as well. I will NOT be back.

I went in with a mess and was scared to death. My color specialist was wonderful. She did a consult with the master stylist that was going to be cutting my mop afterwards and I knew as soon as the towel came off, even with soaking hair, that it was good. The stylist quietly listened to my vague desciption of what I wanted/needed and made a few suggestions and went to work. When it was all finished, I was thrilled. I will drive the hour to go back. The staff was courteous, I got a mini hand massage during my wash/rinse and I loved the way the AVEDA products smelled. It was well worth the extra money and drive to go to Omagi. My husband thought so too!

Can’t give you a review on their services, but they if they give you the wrong item and you try to return it, they will not give you your money back. I have waiting for the correct item to come in(they were out of stock when I noticed their error) as they said their system is not set up to refund a purchase. Okay, whatever, but if it takes a month to get the right product back in, there is a problem. Just give me my damn money back so I can go somewhere else!!!

Great experience! Thanks to Morgan for doing a fabulous job on my very thick, and curly hair. Began with neck & shoulder massage, consult, shampoo, then forearm & hand massage during conditioning, followed by a great cut & style. Also, when I tried to tip the said they were a «no tip» salon?! Plus it’s AVEDA! So I came out of there smelling amazing. ;)
