New Leaf Fit

A little difficult to find in the evening hours as the green-​lit sign is snuggled beneath a dentist office sign display.
I attended a Zumba class a week or so ago with a friend (for FREE since it was my first class, so definitely try this place out at least once) and promptly tried to hide myself in the back-​left of the class. It was an awesome mixture (albeit female mixture) of ages and skill sets– I wasn’t the worst but I wasn’t the best and what better place to be in your first zumba class than right in the middle.
The instructor is encouraging and had a sweat-​pouring regimen. It was a tad toasty in the studio but we’re there to burn. If nothing else it made going outdoors in this cold weather somewhat enjoyable.
BRING WATER.
I wore yoga pants and a tank– I recommend shorts and a tank and just layer so that you can make the zumba more fun as the heat turns up! ;-)
I really got in touch with my inner club diva with some of the moves but they were all highly do-​able. This made for excellent fun, especially considering I didn’t get a drink spilled on me by some silly drunk person.
Student memberships for unlimited classes per month is $ 40. Others pay a little more. Classes are PERFECTLY scheduled for me– late evenings beginning at 7:45pm usually or later. I take care of my pup immediately after work but this is a great way to get out of the house on a weeknight– with membership for free. Without a membership I think the cost is $ 10/​sesh.
Welcoming environment. Inspiring moves. I’m requesting a 2-​month membership for Christmas. A GREAT WAY TO STAY LOCAL this season in gift-​giving.
