I can’t say enough good things about this shop. They go out of their way to help and are more than willing to work with you. Locally owned and it shows because they care about the customers that walk through and don’t act like you’re just a number. No big attitudes here.
Great selection of all styles and if not in stock, they can order it and get it for you.

Great local businesses! I visited 2 other stores in Louisville and did not get treated nearly as well as I did at Middletown. The owner took his time to explain all of the different types of bikes and simplify my purchase. Great after the sale service also.

I think Middletown is the best cycling shop in town. I have been twice so far and am in the process of buying a (nice) bike from them and they have been great. As soon as I walked in they walked me through the different models they sold, what each was made for, and what they thought the best fit for me was, and let me test ride a couple of models.
This is no small investment so I went home, did my research, and went back with a bike in mind. I am no easy customer, I ask hard questions and am on a budget.
Unfortunately, the bike I decided on is not available for a while (the one in shop is not my size), so they are going to go through quite some trouble to make sure Giant doesn’t have any more of the bike I want in stock, or see if we can find a comparable model for a similar price.
While I still haven’t bought the bike yet, I expect it to go as well as the research part of this buying cycle has. I will update this review after.
Technically, they know their bikes, they are competitively priced, and offer the same deals as the other shops in town. It is the service that sets them apart.
In addition to their willingness to help customers, they are also interested in the well being of the Louisville cycling community. They do a great job as sponsors of the Louisville cycling club that I am a part of.

The bike shop across the street might be bigger and has a larger selection, but I’d choose this bike shop over the other one any day.
It’s a smaller operation but there are still a lot of different options to choose from. The owner and the guys there are friendly, attentive and honest. I was a tough customer but they were very pleasant, answered all my questions and offered advice. The owner honored a Facebook discount that I didn’t even know about and would’ve paid the normal price. I truly appreciated that honestly.

The brands they carry are reasonable priced but expect to pay a few hundred dollars for a good bike. It’s worth the investment. I called two other stores to check on the price of the bike I was interested in and Middletown offered the best deal.
