Luxe Nail Bar

Decent color selections available, but if you want a brand new color from OPI you’ll have to bring it. This isn’t my normal nail salon but they are right down the road from my house which is nice when I need a quick nail fix! They also do wonderful pedicures and although they are advertised as $ 35, both times I’ve come in I’ve only been charged $ 20.

After the pedicure upset last week at Pretty Nails, here I am back at my local nail bar getting a PROPER manicure & pedicure. This has been my spot for a long time and I will never go anywhere else ever after that sorry excuse of a nail salon experience at (not so) Pretty Nails which I tried just because I didn’t have time to drive down here.
The people here are at Luxe have always been so nice and their work is quality. Before my June wedding, I came here to get my mani — pedi and my nails never chipped or faded or came off despite being in the water for 2 weeks and it lasted months after.
Although the original owners for this place are gone, the new owners maintained the high quality of service. $ 55 for a gel pedicure is well worth it!
Shout out to Ty for my mani. He is a great sport.

I was in town for a week long event and wanted a to get a no chip to ensure my manicure would last the entire time. I got delayed and wasn’t sure if I’d have time to get my nails done. I called ahead to make sure that they had availability and could complete my nails within my narrow time window. My manicurist was very quick, very professional, and very friendly. It was honestly the best no-​chip I’ve ever had — I removed it after three weeks because of outgrowth and there were neither chips nor peeling. Plus, I received several compliments on it during my event. I wish this place was at home in Chicago so that I could always go! Such a great experience!

Love this place! They really get to know you. They do a great job shaping my nails the way I like them. They always ask even though they know what I like, which is good. I would recommend this place to everyone!

The Luxe Nail Bar is terrific! The employees are friendly and capable and the salon is very clean. Their shellac nail services are far superior to any similar place I have visited in Louisville. They take great care to apply it and remove it correctly so there is no damage to the nails. It lasts 2+ weeks. I drive from Crestwood to their salon because I am so pleased with the services I receive from them.

So disappointed :/​. Giving 2 stars because my color looks good and got right in. Otherwise, deserves 1 star in my book. There seemed to be some regulars in there, so it looked promising.
Went in for a manicure. $ 15. Noticed it was called «quickie manicure». That alone should have made me decide on a luxe manicure ($ 22). The difference, I’m not sure.
Several things made me uncomfortable and confused. She didn’t ask how long/​short I wanted them and did a very «quick» file and buff. Then she pulls out the cuticle cutters. She was very quick. At first, it was impressive. Then I looked at my hands and 3 of my fingers were bleeding :(. She put some sort of blue-​green drops on it (to stop the bleeding I assume?) and it burned. She then continues with lotion and massaged my hands quickly. Here is where I was slightly confused: after the hand massage, she had me wash my hands real good. She then applied the polish and I was sent to the table for my polish to set. My hands were soooo dry when I left! Probably because I washed off the moisturizer! I’ve learned my lesson: You get what you pay for …

I had a pretty nice time here, my nail artist was quiet but polite. The water in my pedi chair was SUPER hot, she did try to cool it down, but it was taking longer than I wanted so I just got over it. There was a really nice sugar scrub they used which was nice and the paint looks really nice as well.
It’s next to my house so I might come back, but I usually never get pedi’s.
