Giod food quick service especially considering we visiting during the lunch rush. 3 stars only because I prefer Chick-FIL-A more.

This location is near work so we enjoy visiting for lunch. The crowd can fluctuate, which results in longer waits to order or fewer tables but in general I haven’t had an issue with getting my food timely. I highly recommend the fried chicken salad with ranch dressing; however, do not go into this order believing there’s anything healthy about having a salad. Large serving, very generous with the chicken portion(every time) and also includes a slice of Texas Toast. I’ve had the tenders and fries here. They are average at best, so trust me, order the salad. The sweet tea is wonderful and for those of us into ice, they have the small nuggets! You can even purchase carry out ice because it’s so popular. Re: kids meals, you do not get much food — only 2 tenders and a few fries. If your kid is 5+ years, they are going to be eyeballing your food and asking for more. The restaurant should reevaluate their portion or reduce their price. Casual décor, lots of fun signs to read as well — I enjoy finding something new each time we visit.

Lethargically s l o w Walked in for a dine in order at 6:20 on a Wednesday Night. Both young boys on the register were outright shy & overwhelmed 3 orders of tenders — wings came up at 6:41 So …slow Even had a guy next to me question the mgr. & get a refund . Food was average. Not worthy of a 2nd visit ever

Like others, I was so happy when Zaxby’s opened up here. I have had their food at other franchises when traveling through the south, and was very glad that they came to Louisville. I love the food here. They offer so many choices compared to other chicken-centric chains. The onion rings, and fried cheese are great. The fries don’t get soggy on the way home, despite being the crinkle kind. And I really like the Zax sauce. The chicken tenders are tasty, as is the chicken salad sandwich and the Texas toast. The best item on the menu is the black and blue chicken salad. I really love the way it’s prepared, and it’s delicious every time! They also have good shakes. That being said, the service at this particular franchise is absolutely atrocious. We order the same thing almost every time(and when we don’t order that, we get our back up option– call them A and B. There is no C.) But every time, the meal costs something different. Sometimes items are forgotten, including extra sauces, which we pay for. The staff also don’t know their own menu. They offer«zappetizers»(appetizer-sized portions of several side items) and then regular side item-sized portions of those foods. Obviously, a side is cheaper. On more than one occasion, we have ordered some sides– and specifically asked for a SIDE of whatever– only to be charged for the appetizer portion. Upon arriving at the window, we ask for clarification about the size. We are then told that Zaxby’s doesn’t offer a side of that item. We say that yes, it’s on their menu, and they don’t believe us, even after offering to drive around and look at the board with them. Upon asking for a manager, we get no apology or explanation from either the manager or the employee. The manager just punches it in and walks away. I’ve filled out comment forms based on these kinds of experiences before, and got a call from the manager saying that everyone who used to work that shift had been let go for not doing their jobs properly… but it happens again and again and again. I love the food. I wish the service was better. Despite the more convenient location, I decided quite a while back to visit another location on the other end of the county rather than visit this one again.

Worst drive thru service ever. You’d really have to force me to go back there. The people working the drive thru are incredibly rude, inconpitent, and slow. They charge you extra for sauce and then never give it to you. This review is based off of several experiences at this location. Raising Canes is similar and much better and the service is 5 star. Most polite people working at Raising canes on Westport road. Go there. Not Zaxbys.

Back again because I love the chicken fingers. But same poor service from completely uncaring employees. Another way of saying Poor Management!

This was my first visit to a Zaxby’s and I’m a definite fan! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was fresh and delicious. The décor is very unique and creative and I like that it has booths which makes it a very comfortable, inviting environment. Will return when I’m down south again. Yay!

Came from out of town to this place, never had it & just seen it passing by. This was nothing I expected, I even got small orders of everything to try! The food was below average from what my freezer bag of wings gave me in my own home. Restaurant was full of teenagers as workers & the food shows! I walked out hungry & mad and I went to another restaurant to finish eating.

The wings are… OK. Nothing to write home about. Friends were excited about a zaxby’s coming so I went with them. Not falling out of my seat. My wife did call them about her peanut/tree nut allergy and the manager said his son has the same allergy and could accommodate it. Basically call the a day in advance and they would empty the fryer so it was fresh oil. WOW that is service.

Place has potential. new clean place, good tea & décor. Good chicken. Fries are crinkle cut and undercooked… boo! Staff was overattentive, paying attention to all the wrong things. Make the food at a fast food place the way that you want it, and you need to pay less attention to the cheesy smiles and upselling.

I was so glad when I saw a Zaxby’s was opening close to me. I loved Zaxby’s when they were in Bowling Green and then I moved to Arizona and missed them sorely. However, I was a little disappointed. Seems like I remember the Wimpy sauce being more flavorful. But this isn’t. I did love the Blue Zalad. VERY good. my son got the bonless terriake wings. He liked them. We got the chips as an appetizer and Some of them were cooked ok. But there was a mass of nearly raw potatoes in the middle of the mass. Quite nasty. At least they made me a new order. Yes the place was clean, but is it too much to ask a cashier to smile or to act like I am allowed to talk to her. Unfriendly service just plain irks me.

Partly because I haven’t given many of my reviews 2 stars, partly because I have had better Zaxby’s, this new location is going to sit low on my list of constellations. I happened to be on the far east side of Louisville one Sunday and happened across this Zaxby’s across from ‘Jesus over Six Flags’ a.k.a Southeast Christian Church, which is not exactly southeast of Louisville but alas, you can’t really miss it. Anyway, I noticed this Zaxby’s and feeling nostalgic for lunch breaks and chicken fingers with Kickin’ Chicken sauce in Bowling Green, the boys and I decided to stop in. Well, Zaxby’s has expanded considerably since my days at WKU, now with 450+ locations across the U.S., however, with that expansion it seems to have lost something. The portions are small — really small. My sandwich had two tiny chicken fingers, my youngest son’s kid’s meal had 2 even tinier chicken fingers, and my oldest son’s grilled cheese kid’s meal was half a grilled cheese sandwich and about 10 fries. If it weren’t for the«spicy» fried mushroom appetizer, we would still be hungry. And I place quotes around«spicy» because they were really not spicy at all. I did appreciate the little tub of Zaxby’s Sauce, still pretty tasty, and I still like the Texas Toast they use for the sandwiches. It’s toast, what’s not to like? Otherwise, the food, was somewhat lacking. On the upside, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Late 70s, early 80s music playing. Peter Gabriel’s ‘Shock the Monkey’ saved this from being a star lower. In summation, this really deserves about 2 ½ stars, somewhere between ‘Meh’ and ‘OK’.
